  14:1 ¶
And these [are] they of the children of Israel that received their inheritance in the land of Canaan{gr.Chanaan}, to whom Eleazar the priest, and Joshua{gr.Jesus} the [son]of Nun{gr.Naue}, and the heads of the families of the tribes of the children of Israel, gave inheritance. |

[are the countries] whichº
the childrenº
of Israelº
inheritedºº
in the landº
of Canaan,º
whichº
Eleazarº
the priest,º
and Joshuaº
the sonº
of Nun,º
and the headsº
of the fathersº
of the tribesº
of the childrenº
of Israel,º
distributed for inheritanceºº
to them. |

They inherited according to their lots, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Joshua{gr.Jesus} to the nine tribes and the half tribe, on the other side of Jordan. |

[was] their inheritance,º
asº
Yahwehº
commandedºº
by the handº
of Moses,º
for the nineº
tribes,º
and [for] the halfº
tribe.º |

But to the Levites he gave no inheritance among them. |

the inheritanceº

tribesº
and an halfº
tribeº
on the other sideºº
Jordan:º
but unto the Levitesº
he gaveºº
noneº
inheritanceº
amongº
them. |

For the sons of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh{gr.Manasse} and Ephraim; and there was none inheritance in the land given to the Levites, only cities to dwell in, and their suburbs separated for the cattle, and their cattle. |

As the Lord commanded Mosheh{gr.Moses}, so did the children of Israel; and they divided the land. |

And the children of Judah{gr.Juda} came to Joshua{gr.Jesus} in Gilgal{gr.Galgal}, and Caleb{gr.Chaleb} the [son] of Jephunneh{gr.Jephone} the Kenezite said to him, Thou knowest the word that the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses} the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh{gr.Cades} Barnea{gr.Barne}. |

him, Thouº
knowestººº
the thingº
thatº

For I was forty years old when Mosheh{gr.Moses} the servant of God sent me out of Kadesh{gr.Cades} Barnea{gr.Barne} to spy out the land; and I returned him an answer according to his mind. |

My brethren that went up with me turned away the heart of the people, but I applied my self to follow the Lord my God. |

Nevertheless my brethrenº

me madeº
the heartº
of the peopleº
melt:ºº
but Iº
whollyºº
followedº
Yahwehº
my Elohim.º |

And Mosheh{gr.Moses} sware on that day, saying, The land on which thou art gone up, it shall be thy inheritance and thy children's for ever, because thou hast applied thyself to follow the Lord our God. |

thy feetº
have troddenºº
shall beº
thine inheritance,º
and thy children'sº

And now the Lord has kept me alive as he said: this [is] the forty-fifth year since the Lord spoke that word to Mosheh{gr.Moses}; and Israel journeyed in the wilderness; and now, behold, I [am] this day eighty-five years old. |

hath kept me alive,ººº

even sinceºº
Yahwehº
spakeººº
thisº

Moses,º

[the children of] Israelº

I am still strong this day, as when the Lord sent me: just so strong am I now to go out and to come in for war. |

[I was] in the dayº
that Mosesº
sentºº
me: as my strengthº
[was] then,º
even so [is] my strengthº
now,º
for war,º
both to go out,ºº
and to come in.ºº |

And now I ask of thee this mountain, as the Lord said in that day; for thou heardest this word on that day; and now the Anakim{gr.Enakim} are there, cities great and strong: if then the Lord should be with me, I will utterly destroy them, as the Lord said to me. |

me, then I shall be able to drive them out,ºº

And Joshua{gr.Jesus} blessed him, and gave Hebron{gr.Chebron} to Caleb{gr.Chaleb} the son of Jephunneh{gr.Jephone} the son of Kenaz{gr.Kenez} for an inheritance. |

Therefore Hebron{gr.Chebron} became the inheritance of Caleb{gr.Chaleb} the [son] of Jephunneh{gr.Jephone} the Kenezite until this day, because he followed the commandment of the Lord God of Israel. |

[which Arba was] a greatº

among the Anakims.º
And the landº
