 9:1 ¶
And David said, Is there yet any one left in the house of Saul, that I may deal kindly with him for Jonathan's sake? |
|
 9:1 ¶
And Davidº
said,ºº
Is thereº
yetºº
anyº
that is leftºº
of the houseº
of Saul,º
that I may shewººº
him kindnessº
for Jonathan'sºº
sake?º |
 9:2
And there was a servant of the house of Saul, and his name was Ziba{gr.Siba}: and they call him to David; and the king said to him, Art thou Ziba{gr.Siba}? and he said, I [am] thy servant. |
 9:2
And [there was] of the houseº
of Saulº
a servantº
whose nameº
[was] Ziba.º
And when they had calledºº
him untoº
David,º
the kingº
saidºº
untoº
him, [Art] thouº
Ziba?º
And he said,ºº
Thy servantº
[is he]. |
 9:3
And the king said, Is there yet a man left of the house of Saul, that I may act towards him with the mercy of God? and Ziba{gr.Siba} said to the king, There is yet a son of Jonathan, lame [of] his feet. |
 9:3
And the kingº
said,ºº
[Is] there notº
yetº
anyº
of the houseº
of Saul,º
that I may shewºº
the kindnessº
of Elohimº
untoº
him? And Zibaº
saidºº
untoº
the king,º
Jonathanº
hath yetº
a son,º
[which is] lameº
on [his] feet.º |
 9:4
And the king said, Where [is] he? and Ziba{gr.Siba} said to the king, Behold, [he is] in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel{gr.Amiel} of Lodabar. |
 9:4
And the kingº
saidºº
unto him, Whereº
[is] he?º
And Zibaº
saidºº
untoº
the king,º
Behold,º
heº
[is] in the houseº
of Machir,º
the sonº
of Ammiel,º
in Lodebar.º |
 9:5 ¶
And king David went, and took him out of the house of Machir the son Ammiel{gr.Amiel} of Lodabar. |
 9:5 ¶
Then kingº
Davidº
sent,ºº
and fetchedºº
him out of the houseºº
of Machir,º
the sonº
of Ammiel,º
from Lodebar.ºº |
 9:6
And Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe} the son of Jonathan the son of Saul comes to the king David, and he fell upon his face and did obeisance to him: and David said to him, Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe}: and he said, Behold thy servant. |
 9:6
Now when Mephibosheth,º
the sonº
of Jonathan,º
the sonº
of Saul,º
was comeºº
untoº
David,º
he fellºº
onº
his face,º
and did reverence.ºº
And Davidº
said,ºº
Mephibosheth.º
And he answered,ºº
Beholdº
thy servant!º |
 9:7 ¶
And David said to him, Fear not, for I will surely deal mercifully with thee for the sake of Jonathan thy father, and I will restore to thee all the land of Saul the father of thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually. |
 9:7 ¶
And Davidº
saidºº
unto him, Fearºº
not:º
forº
I will surelyºº
shewººº
thee kindnessº
for Jonathanº
thy father'sº
sake,º
and will restoreºº
theeº
allº
the landº
of Saulº
thy father;º
and thouº
shalt eatºº
breadº
atº
my tableº
continually.º |
 9:8
And Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe} did obeisance, and said, Who am I thy servant, that thou hast looked upon a dead dog like me? |
 9:8
And he bowedºº
himself,º
and said,ºº
Whatº
[is] thy servant,º
thatº
thou shouldest lookºº
uponº
suchº
a deadºº
dogº
as Iº
[am]? |
 9:9 ¶
And the king called Ziba{gr.Siba} the servant of Saul, and said to him, All that belonged to Saul and to all his house have I given to the son of thy lord. |
 9:9 ¶
Then the kingº
calledºº
toº
Ziba,º
Saul'sº
servant,º
and saidºº
untoº
him, I have givenºº
unto thy adon'sº
sonº
allº
thatº
pertainedºº
to Saulº
and to allº
his house.º |
 9:10
And thou, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him; and thou shalt bring in bread to the son of thy lord, and he shall eat bread: and Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe} the son of thy lord shall eat bread continually at my table. Now Ziba{gr.Siba} had fifteen sons and twenty servants. |
 9:10
Thouº
therefore, and thy sons,º
and thy servants,º
shall tillººº
the landº
for him, and thou shalt bringºº
in [the fruits], that thy adon'sº
sonº
may haveº
foodº
to eat:ºº
but Mephiboshethº
thy adon'sº
sonº
shall eatºº
breadº
alwayº
atº
my table.º
Now Zibaº
had fifteenºº
sonsº
and twentyº
servants.º |
 9:11
And Ziba{gr.Siba} said to the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so will thy servant do. And Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe} did eat at the table of David, as one of the sons of the king. |
 9:11
Then saidºº
Zibaº
untoº
the king,º
According to allº
thatº
my adonº
the kingº
hath commandedººº
his servant,º
soº
shall thy servantº
do.ºº
As for Mephibosheth,º
[said the king], he shall eatºº
atº
my table,º
as oneº
of the king'sº
sons.ººº |
 9:12
And Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe} had a little son, and his name [was] Micah{gr.Micha}: and all the household of Ziba{gr.Siba} [were] servants to Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe}. |
 9:12
And Mephiboshethº
had a youngº
son,º
whose nameº
[was] Micha.º
And allº
that dweltº
in the houseº
of Zibaº
[were] servantsº
unto Mephibosheth.º |
 9:13
And Mephibosheth{gr.Memphibosthe} dwelt in Jerusalem, for he continually ate at the table of the king; and he was lame in both his feet. |
 9:13
So Mephiboshethº
dweltºº
in Jerusalem:º
forº
heº
did eatºº
continuallyº
atº
the king'sº
table;º
and was lameº
on bothº
his feet.º |
