And David again gathered all the young men of Israel, about seventy thousand. |

And David arose, and went, he and all the people that were with him, and some of the rulers of Judah{gr.Juda}, on an expedition [to a distant place], to bring back thence the ark of God, on which the name of the Lord of Hosts who dwells between the cherubs upon it is called. |

the people°
that°
[were] with°
him from Baale°°
of Judah,°°
to bring up°°
from thence°°°
the ark°
of Elohim,°
whose°
name°
is called°°
by the name°
of Yahweh°
Sabaoth°
that dwelleth°°°
[between] the cherubims.° |

And they put the ark of the Lord on a new waggon, and took it out of the house of Amminadab{gr.Aminadab} who lived on the hill, and Uzzah{gr.Oza} and his brethren the sons of Amminadab{gr.Aminadab} drove the waggon with the ark. |

the ark°
of Elohim°
upon°
a new°
cart,°
and brought°°
it out of the house°°
of Abinadab°
that°
[was] in Gibeah:°
and Uzzah°
and Ahio,°
the sons°
of Abinadab,°
drave°°°
the new°

And his brethren went before the ark. |

of Abinadab°
which°
[was] at Gibeah,°
accompanying°
the ark°
of Elohim:°
and Ahio°
went°°
before°
the ark.° |

And David and the children of Israel [were] playing before the Lord on well-tuned instruments mightily, and with songs, and with harps, and with lutes, and with drums, and with cymbals, and with pipes. |
|

And David°
and all°
the house°
of Israel°
played°°
before°
Yahweh°
on all°
manner of [instruments made of] fir°
wood,°
even on harps,°
and on psalteries,°
and on timbrels,°
and on cornets,°
and on cymbals.° |

6:6 ¶
And they come as far as the threshing floor of Nahor{gr.Nachor}: and Uzzah{gr.Oza} reached forth his hand to the ark of God to keep it steady, and took hold of it; for the ox shook it out of its place. |

And when they came°°

[his hand] to°
the ark°
of Elohim,°
and took hold°°
of it; for°
the oxen°
shook°°
[it]. |

And the Lord was very angry with Uzzah{gr.Oza}; and God smote him there: and he died there by the ark of the Lord before God. |

And the anger°
of Yahweh°
was kindled°°
against Uzzah;°
and Elohim°
smote°°
him there°
for°
[his] error;°
and there°
he died°°
by°
the ark°
of Elohim.° |

And David was dispirited because the Lord made a breach upon Uzzah{gr.Oza}; and that place was called the breach of Uzzah{gr.Oza} until this day. |

And David°
was displeased,°°
because°°
Yahweh°
had made°°
a breach°
upon Uzzah:°
and he called°°
the name°
of the°
place°
Perezuzzah°
to°
this°
day.° |

And David feared the Lord in that day, saying, How shall the ark of the Lord come in to me? |

And David°
was afraid°°
of°
Yahweh°
that°
day,°
and said,°°
How°
shall the ark°
of Yahweh°
come°°
to°
me? |

6:10
And David would not bring in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to himself into the city of David: and David turned it aside into the house of Obededom{gr.Abeddara} the Gethite. |

So David°
would°°
not°
remove°°°
the ark°
of Yahweh°
unto°
him into°
the city°
of David:°
but David°
carried it aside°°
into the house°
of Obededom°
the Gittite.° |

And the ark of the Lord lodged in the house of Obededom{gr.Abeddara} the Gethite three months, and the Lord blessed all the house of Obededom{gr.Abeddara}, and all his possessions. |

the Gittite°

months:°
and Yahweh°

6:12 ¶
And it was reported to king David, saying, The Lord has blessed the house of Obededom{gr.Abeddara}, and all that he has, because of the ark of the Lord. And David went, and brought up the Ark of the Lord from the house of Obededom{gr.Abeddara} to the city of David with gladness. |

And it was told°°

Yahweh°
hath blessed°°°
the house°
of Obededom,°
and all°
that°
[pertaineth] unto him, because°
of the ark°
of Elohim.°
So David°
went°°°
and brought up°°°
the ark°
of Elohim°
from the house°°
of Obededom°
into the city°
of David°
with gladness.° |

And there were with him bearing the ark seven bands, and for a sacrifice a calf and lambs. |

And it was°
[so], that when°
they that bare°°
the ark°
of Yahweh°
had gone°°
six°
paces,°
he sacrificed°°
oxen°
and fatlings.° |

6:14
And David sounded with well-tuned instruments before the Lord, and David [was] clothed with a fine long robe. |

And David°
danced°°
before°
Yahweh°
with all°
[his] might;°
and David°
[was] girded°°
with a linen°
ephod.° |

6:15
And David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of a trumpet. |

with shouting,°
and with the sound°
of the trumpet.° |

And it came to pass as the ark arrived at the city of David, that Michal{gr.Melchol} the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David dancing and playing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart. |

into the city°
of David,°
Michal°

daughter°
looked°°
through°
a window,°

king°
David°
leaping°°
and dancing°°
before°
Yahweh;°
and she despised°°

6:17 ¶
And they bring the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle which David pitched for it: and David offered whole-burnt-offerings before the Lord, [and] peace-offerings. |

And David made an end of offering the whole-burnt-offerings and peace-offerings, and blessed the people in the name of the Lord of Hosts. |

he blessed°°°
the people°
in the name°
of Yahweh°
Sabaoth.° |

And he distributed to all the people, even to all the host of Israel from Dan to Beersheba{gr.Bersabee}, both men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a joint of meat, and a cake from the frying-pan: and all the people departed every one to his home. |

And he dealt°°
among all°
the people,°
[even] among the whole°
multitude°
of Israel,°
as well to°
the women°
as men,°°
to every one°
a°
cake°
of bread,°
and a°
good piece°
[of flesh], and a°
flagon°
[of wine]. So all°
the people°
departed°°°
every one°
to his house.° |

And David returned to bless his house. And Michal{gr.Melchol} the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and saluted him, and said, How was the king of Israel glorified to-day, who was to-day uncovered in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the dancers wantonly uncovers himself! |

Then David°

to bless°°°
his household.°
And Michal°
the daughter°
of Saul°
came out°°
to meet°°
David,°
and said,°°
How°
glorious°°
was the king°
of Israel°
to day,°
who°
uncovered°°
himself°
to day°
in the eyes°
of the handmaids°
of his servants,°
as one°
of the vain fellows°
shamelessly°°
uncovereth°°
himself!° |

And David said to Michal{gr.Melchol}, I will dance before the Lord. Blessed [be] the Lord who chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to make me head over his people, even over Israel: therefore I will play, and dance before the Lord. |

[It was] before°
Yahweh,°
which°
chose°°
me before thy father,°°
and before all°°
his house,°
to appoint°°
me ruler°
over°
the people°
of Yahweh,°
over°
Israel:°
therefore will I play°°

And I will again uncover myself thus, and I will be vile in thine eyes, and with the maid-servants by whom thou saidst that I was not had in honour. |

And I will yet°
be more vile°°
than thus,°°
and will be°
base°
in mine own sight:°
and of°
the maidservants°
which°
thou hast spoken°°
of, of them shall I be had in honour.°° |

And Michal{gr.Melchol} the daughter of Saul had no child till the day of her death. |

Therefore Michal°
the daughter°
of Saul°
had°
no°
child°°°
unto°
the day°
of her death.° |
