Matthew 8
2 Christ cleanseth the leper, 5 healeth the centurion's servant, 14 Peter's mother in law, 16 and many other diseased: 18 sheweth how he is to be followed: 23 stilleth the tempest on the sea, 28 driveth the devils out of two men possessed, 31 and suffereth them to go into the swine.
8:1
When Jesus came 2597 down 2597 from the mountain 3735, large 4183 crowds 3793 followed 190 Him.
8:2
And a leper 3015 came 4334 to Him and bowed 4352 down 4352 before Him, and said 3004, “Lord 2962, if 1437 You are willing 2309, You can 1410 make 2511 me clean 2511.”
8:3
Jesus stretched 1614 out His hand 5495 and touched 681 him, saying 3004, “I am 2309 willing 2309; be cleansed 2511.” And immediately 2112 his leprosy 3014 was cleansed 2511.
8:4
And Jesus 2424 *said 3004 to him, “See 3708 that you tell 3004 no 3367 one 3367; but go 5217, show 1166 yourself 4572 to the priest 2409 and present 4374 the offering 1435 that Moses 3475 commanded 4367, as a testimony 3142 to them.”

¶ And when Jesus entered 1525 Capernaum 2746b, a centurion 1543 came 4334 to Him, imploring 3870 Him,

and saying 3004, “Lord 2962, my servant 3816 is lying 906 paralyzed 3885 at home 3614, fearfully 1171 tormented 928.”
8:7
Jesus *said 3004 to him, “I will come 2064 and heal 2323 him.”
8:8
But the centurion 1543 said 5346, “Lord 2962, I am 1510 not worthy 2425 for You to come 1525 under 5259 my roof 4721, but just 3441 say 3004 the word 3056, and my servant 3816 will be healed 2390.
8:9
“For I also 2532 am 1510 a man 444 under 5259 authority 1849, with soldiers 4757 under 5259 me; and I say 3004 to this 3778 one 3778, ‘Go 4198!’ and he goes 4198, and to another 243, ‘Come 2064!’ and he comes 2064, and to my slave 1401, ‘Do 4160 this 3778!’ and he does 4160 [it].”

Now 1161 when Jesus 2424 heard 191 [this], He marveled 2296 and said 3004 to those 3588 who were following 190, “Truly 281 I say 3004 to you, I have not found 2147 such 5118 great 5118 faith 4102 with anyone 3762 in Israel 2474.

“I say 3004 to you that many 4183 will come 2240 from east 395 and west 1424, and recline 347 [at the table] with Abraham 11, Isaac 2464 and Jacob 2384 in the kingdom 932 of heaven 3772;
8:12
but the sons 5207 of the kingdom 932 will be cast 1544b out into the outer 1857 darkness 4655; in that place 1563 there 1563 will be weeping 2805 and gnashing 1030 of teeth 3599.”

And Jesus 2424 said 3004 to the centurion 1543, “Go 5217; it shall be done 1096 for you as you have believed 4100.” And the servant 3816 was healed 2390 that [very] moment 5610.

¶ When Jesus 2424 came 2064 into Peter’s 4074 home 3614, He saw 3708 his mother-in-law 3994 lying 906 sick 906 in bed with a fever 4445.

He touched 681 her hand 5495, and the fever 4446 left 863 her; and she got 1453 up and waited 1247 on Him.
8:16
When evening 3798 came 1096, they brought 4374 to Him many 4183 who were demon-possessed 1139; and He cast 1544b out the spirits 4151 with a word 3056, and healed 2323 all 3956 who were ill 2192 2560.

[This was] to fulfill 4137 what 3588 was spoken 3004 through 1223 Isaiah 2268 the prophet 4396: “HE HIMSELF 846 TOOK 2983 OUR INFIRMITIES 769 AND CARRIED 941 AWAY 941 OUR DISEASES 3554.”

¶ Now 1161 when Jesus 2424 saw 3708 a crowd 3793 around 4012 Him, He gave 2753 orders 2753 to depart 565 to the other 4008 side 4008 [of the sea].

Then 2532 a scribe 1122 came 4334 and said 3004 to Him, “Teacher 1320, I will follow 190 You wherever 3699 1437 You go 565.”

Jesus 2424 *said 3004 to him, “The foxes 258 have 2192 holes 5454 and the birds 4071 of the air 3772 [have] nests 2682, but the Son 5207 of Man 444 has 2192 nowhere 3756 4226 to lay 2827 His head 2776.”

Another 2087 of the disciples 3101 said 3004 to Him, “Lord 2962, permit 2010 me first 4413 to go 565 and bury 2290 my father 3962.”
8:22
But Jesus 2424 *said 3004 to him, “Follow 190 Me, and allow 863 the dead 3498 to bury 2290 their own 1438 dead 3498.”

¶ When He got 1684 into the boat 4143, His disciples 3101 followed 190 Him.
8:24
And behold 2400, there arose 1096 a great 3173 storm 4578 on the sea 2281, so 5620 that the boat 4143 was being 2572 covered 2572 with the waves 2949; but Jesus Himself 846 was asleep 2518.
8:25
And they came 4334 to [Him] and woke 1453 Him, saying 3004, “Save 4982 [us], Lord 2962; we are perishing 622!”
8:26
He *said 3004 to them, “Why 5101 are you afraid 1169, you men 3640b of little 3640b faith 3640b?” Then 5119 He got 1453 up and rebuked 2008 the winds 417 and the sea 2281, and it became 1096 perfectly 3173 calm 1055.
8:27
The men 444 were amazed 2296, and said 3004, “What 4217 kind 4217 of a man 444 is this 3778, that even 2532 the winds 417 and the sea 2281 obey 5219 Him?”
8:28
¶ When He came 2064 to the other 4008 side 4008 into the country 5561 of the Gadarenes 1046, two 1417 men who were demon-possessed 1139 met 5221 Him as they were coming 1831 out of the tombs 3419. [They were] so extremely 3029 violent 5467 that no 3361 one 5100 could 2480 pass 3928 by that way 3598.

And they cried 2896 out, saying 3004, “What 5101 business do we have with each other, Son 5207 of God 2316? Have You come 2064 here 5602 to torment 928 us before 4253 the time 2540?”

Now 1161 there was a herd 34 of many 4183 swine 5519 feeding 1006 at a distance 3112 from them.
8:31
The demons 1142 [began] to entreat 3870 Him, saying 3004, “If 1487 You [are going to] cast 1544b us out, send 649 us into the herd 34 of swine 5519.”
8:32
And He said 3004 to them, “Go 5217!” And they came 1831 out and went 565 into the swine 5519, and the whole 3956 herd 34 rushed 3729 down 2596 the steep 2911 bank 2911 into the sea 2281 and perished 599 in the waters 5204.

The herdsmen 1006 ran 5343 away 5343, and went 565 to the city 4172 and reported 518 everything 3956, including 2532 what 3588 had 3588 happened 3588 to the demoniacs 1139.

And behold 2400, the whole 3956 city 4172 came 1831 out to meet 5222 Jesus 2424; and when they saw 3708 Him, they implored 3870 Him to leave 3327 their region 3725.
