In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], in the twelfth [day] of the month, the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying, |

Sonº
of man,º
setºº
thy faceº
againstº
Par`ò
פַּרעֹהº
kingº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,º
and prophesyºº
againstº
him, and againstº
allº
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם:º |
29:2
Son of man, set thy face against Paroh king of Mitzrayim, and prophesy against him, and against all Mitzrayim: |

Speak,ºº
and say,ºº
Thusº
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
Behold,º
I [am] againstº
thee,
Par`ò
פַּרעֹהº
kingº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,º
the greatº
dragonº
that liethºº
in the midstº
of his rivers,º
whichº
hath said,ºº
My riverº
[is] mine own, and Iº
have madeºº
[it] for myself. |
29:3
Speak, and say, Thus saith Adonay Yahweh; Behold, I [am] against thee, Paroh king of Mitzrayim, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river [is] mine own, and I have made [it] for myself. |

But I will putºº
hooksºº
in thy jaws,º
and I will cause the fishº
of thy riversº
to stickºº
unto thy scales,º
and I will bring thee upºº
out of the midstºº
of thy rivers,º
and allº
the fishº
of thy riversº
shall stickºº
unto thy scales.º |
29:4
But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales. |

29:5
And I will leaveºº
thee [thrown] into the wilderness,º
thee and allº
the fishº
of thy rivers:º
thou shalt fallºº
uponº
the openº
fields;º
thou shalt notº
be brought together,ºº
norº
gathered:ºº
I have givenºº
thee for meatº
to the beastsº
of the fieldº
and to the fowlsº
of the heaven.º |
29:5
And I will leave thee [thrown] into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven. |

And allº
the inhabitantsºº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִםº
shall knowºº
thatº
Iº
[am]
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
becauseº
they have beenº
a staffº
of reedº
to the houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |
29:6
And all the inhabitants of Mitzrayim shall know that I [am] Yahweh, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Yisrael. |

When they took holdºº
of thee by thy hand,º
thou didst break,ºº
and rendºº
allº
their shoulder:º
and when they leanedºº
uponº
thee, thou brakest,ºº
and madest allº
their loinsº
to be at a stand.ºº |
29:7
When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand. |

29:8 ¶
Thereforeº
thusº
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
Behold,º
I will bringºº
a swordº
uponº
thee, and cut offºº
manº
and beastº
out ofº
thee. |
29:8 ¶
Therefore thus saith Adonay Yahweh; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee. |

And the landº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִםº
shall beº
desolateº
and waste;º
and they shall knowºº
thatº
Iº
[am]
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:º
becauseº
he hath said,ºº
The riverº
[is] mine, and Iº
have madeºº
[it]. |
29:9
And the land of Mitzrayim shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I [am] Yahweh: because he hath said, The river [is] mine, and I have made [it]. |

Behold,º
thereforeº
I [am] againstº
thee, and againstº
thy rivers,º
and I will makeººº
the landº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִםº
utterlyº
wasteºº
[and] desolate,º
from the towerºº
of
Sæwënì
סְוֵנֵהº
even untoº
the borderº
of
Cûš
כּוּשׁ.º |
29:10
Behold, therefore I [am] against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Mitzrayim utterly waste [and] desolate, from the tower of Seweneh even unto the border of Kush. |

29:11
Noº
footº
of manº
shall passº
throughºº
it, norº
footº
of beastº
shall passº
throughºº
it, neitherº
shall it be inhabitedºº
fortyº
years.º |
29:11
No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years. |

29:12
And I will makeººº
the landº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִםº
desolateº
in the midstº
of the countriesº
[that are] desolate,ºº
and her citiesº
amongº
the citiesº
[that are] laid wasteºº
shall beº
desolateº
fortyº
years:º
and I will scatterººº
the
Mixrîm
מִצרִיםº
among the nations,º
and will disperseºº
them through the countries.º |
29:12
And I will make the land of Mitzrayim desolate in the midst of the countries [that are] desolate, and her cities among the cities [that are] laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Mitzrim among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries. |

At the endºº
of fortyº
yearsº
will I gatherººº
the
Mixrîm
מִצרִיםº
fromº
the peopleº
whitherºº
they were scattered:ºº |
29:13 ¶
Yet thus saith Adonay Yahweh; At the end of forty years will I gather the Mitzrim from the people whither they were scattered: |

29:14
And I will bring againººº
the captivityº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,º
and will cause them to returnºº
[into] the landº
of
Pa±rôs
פַּתרוֹס,º
intoº
the landº
of their habitation;º
and they shall beº
thereº
a baseº
kingdom.º |
29:14
And I will bring again the captivity of Mitzrayim, and will cause them to return [into] the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom. |

29:15
It shall beº
the basestº
ofº
the kingdoms;º
neitherº
shall it exaltºº
itselfº
any moreº
aboveº
the nations:º
for I will diminishºº
them, that they shall no moreº
ruleºº
over the nations.º |
29:15
It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations. |

And it shall beº
noº
moreº
the confidenceº
of the houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
which bringethºº
[their] iniquityº
to remembrance,ººº
when they shall lookºº
afterº
them: but they shall knowºº
thatº
Iº
[am]
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |
29:16
And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Yisrael, which bringeth [their] iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I [am] Adonay Yahweh. |

29:17 ¶
And it came to passº
in the sevenº
and twentiethº
year,º
in the firstº
[month], in the firstº
[day] of the month,º
the wordº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
cameº
untoº
me, saying,ºº |
29:17 ¶
And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying, |

of man,º
Nævû¢aðre´xxar
נְבוּכַדרֶאצַּרº
kingº
of
Bävel
בָּבֶלº
causedººº
his armyº
to serveºº
a greatº
serviceº
againstº
Xôr
צוֹר:º
everyº
headº
[was] made bald,ºº
and everyº
shoulderº
[was] peeled:ºº
yet hadº
he noº
wages,º
nor his army,º
for
Xôr
צוֹר,ºº
forº
the serviceº
thatº
he had servedºº
againstº
it: |
29:18
Son of man, Nevukhadretztzar king of Bavel caused his army to serve a great service against Tzor: every head [was] made bald, and every shoulder [was] peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tzor, for the service that he had served against it: |

Thereforeº
thusº
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
Behold,º
I will giveººº
the landº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִםº
unto
Nævû¢aðre´xxar
נְבוּכַדרֶאצַּרº
kingº
of
Bävel
בָּבֶל;º
and he shall takeºº
her multitude,º
and takeºº
her spoil,º
and takeºº
her prey;º
and it shall beº
the wagesº
for his army.º |
29:19
Therefore thus saith Adonay Yahweh; Behold, I will give the land of Mitzrayim unto Nevukhadretztzar king of Bavel; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army. |

the landº

[for] his labourº
wherewithº
he servedºº
against it, becauseº
they wroughtºº
for me, saithºº

אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |
29:20
I have given him the land of Mitzrayim [for] his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith Adonay Yahweh. |

29:21 ¶
In thatº
dayº
will I causeºº
the hornº
of the houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
to bud forth,ºº
and I will giveºº
thee the openingº
of the mouthº
in the midstº
of them; and they shall knowºº
thatº
Iº
[am]
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |
29:21 ¶
In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Yisrael to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I [am] Yahweh. |
