21:1 ¶
Menashsheh [was] twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Yerushalaim. And his mother's name [was] Cheftzi-Bah. |
|
21:2
And he did°°
[that which was] evil°
in the sight°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
after the abominations°
of the heathen,°
whom°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
cast out°°
before°°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

21:2
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of Yahweh, after the abominations of the heathen, whom Yahweh cast out before the children of Yisrael. |

21:3
For he built up°°
again°°°
the high places°
which°
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
his father°
had destroyed;°°
and he reared up°°
altars°
for
Bä`al
בָּעַל,°
and made°°
a grove,°
as°
did°°
´Aç´äv
אַחאָב°
king°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;°
and worshipped°°
all°
the host°
of heaven,°
and served°°
them. |

For he built up again the high places which Chizqiyyah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Achav king of Yisrael; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. |

And he built°°
altars°
in the house°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
of which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
said,°°
In
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם°
will I put°°°
my name.° |

And he built altars in the house of Yahweh, of which Yahweh said, In Yerushalaim will I put my name. |

And he built°°
altars°
for all°
the host°
of heaven°
in the two°
courts°
of the house°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |
|
21:5
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of Yahweh. |

21:6
And he made°
his son°
pass°°
through°
the fire,°
and observed times,°°
and used enchantments,°°
and dealt°°
with familiar spirits°
and wizards:°
he wrought°°
much°°
wickedness°
in the sight°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
to provoke [him] to anger.°° |

And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke [him] to anger. |

And he set°°°
a graven image°
of the grove°
that°
he had made°°
in the house,°
of which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
said°°
to°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד,°
and to°
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹה°
his son,°
In this°
house,°
and in
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם,°
which°
I have chosen°°
out of all°°
tribes°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
will I put°°°
my name°
for ever:° |

And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which Yahweh said to Dawid, and to Shelomoh his son, In this house, and in Yerushalaim, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Yisrael, will I put my name for ever: |

Neither°
will I make the feet°

יִשׂרָאֵל°
move°°
any more°°
out of°
the land°
which°
I gave°°
their fathers;°
only°
if°
they will observe°°
to do°°
according to all°
that°
I have commanded°°
them, and according to all°
the law°
that°
my servant°

them. |

Neither will I make the feet of Yisrael move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Mosheh commanded them. |

But they hearkened°°

seduced°°
them to do°°°
more evil°
than°
did the nations°
whom°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
destroyed°°
before°°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

21:9
But they hearkened not: and Menashsheh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom Yahweh destroyed before the children of Yisrael. |
|
21:10 ¶
And

יָהוֶה°
spake°°
by°
his servants°
the prophets,°
saying,°° |
|
21:10 ¶
And Yahweh spake by his servants the prophets, saying, |

21:11
Because°°
Mænaššè
מְנַשֶּׁה°
king°
of
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה°
hath done°°
these°
abominations,°
[and] hath done wickedly°°
above all°°
that°
the
´Émörîm
אֱמֹרִים°
did,°°
which°
[were] before°
him, and hath made°
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה°
also°
to sin°°
with his idols:° |

21:11
Because Menashsheh king of Yehudah hath done these abominations, [and] hath done wickedly above all that the Emorim did, which [were] before him, and hath made Yehudah also to sin with his idols: |

21:12
Therefore°
thus°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
Behold,°
I [am] bringing°°
[such] evil°
upon°
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם°
and
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה,°
that°
whosoever°
heareth°°
of it, both°
his ears°
shall tingle.°° |

21:12
Therefore thus saith Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael, Behold, I [am] bringing [such] evil upon Yerushalaim and Yehudah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle. |
|
21:13
And I will stretch°°
over°
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם°°
the line°
of
Šömrôn
שֹׁמרוֹן,°
and the plummet°
of the house°
of
´Aç´äv
אַחאָב:°
and I will wipe°°°
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם°
as°
[a man] wipeth°°°
a dish,°
wiping°°
[it], and turning°°
[it] upside down.°° |

And I will stretch over Yerushalaim the line of Shomron, and the plummet of the house of Achav: and I will wipe Yerushalaim as [a man] wipeth a dish, wiping [it], and turning [it] upside down. |

21:14
And I will forsake°°°
the remnant°
of mine inheritance,°
and deliver°°
them into the hand°
of their enemies;°°
and they shall become°
a prey°
and a spoil°
to all°
their enemies;°° |

And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies; |

evil°
in my sight,°
and have°
provoked°

Because they have done [that which was] evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Mitzrayim, even unto this day. |

he had filled°°°

from one end°
to another;°
beside his sin°°°
wherewith°
he made

יְהוּדָה°
to sin,°°°°
in doing°°
[that which was] evil°
in the sight°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

Moreover Menashsheh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Yerushalaim from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Yehudah to sin, in doing [that which was] evil in the sight of Yahweh. |

21:17 ¶

he did,°°
and his sin°
that°
he sinned,°°
[are] they°
not°
written°°
in°
the book°
of the chronicles°°
of the kings°

Now the rest of the acts of Menashsheh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah? |

And

slept°°
with°
his fathers,°
and was buried°°
in the garden°
of his own house,°
in the garden°
of
`Uzzä´
עֻזָּא:°
and
´Ämôn
אָמוֹן°
his son°
reigned°°
in his stead.° |

And Menashsheh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead. |
|
21:19 ¶

Amon [was] twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Yerushalaim. And his mother's name [was] Meshullemeth, the daughter of Charutz of Yatvah. |

in the sight°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
as°
his father°

מְנַשֶּׁה°

And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of Yahweh, as his father Menashsheh did. |
|
21:21
And he walked°°°
in all°
the way°
that°
his father°
walked in,°°
and served°°°
the idols°
that°
his father°
served,°°
and worshipped°°
them: |

And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them: |

And he forsook°°°

of his fathers,°

in the way°

And he forsook Yahweh Elohim of his fathers, and walked not in the way of Yahweh. |

And the servants°

אָמוֹן°
conspired°°
against°
him, and slew°°°
the king°
in his own house.° |
|
21:23 ¶
And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house. |
|

And the people°
of the land°
slew°°°
all°
them that had conspired°°
against°
king°

אָמוֹן;°
and the people°
of the land°
made°

And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Yoshiyyah his son king in his stead. |

in his sepulchre°
in the garden°

יֹאשִׁיָּה°
his son°
reigned°°
in his stead.° |

And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Yoshiyyah his son reigned in his stead. |
