unto death.°°
And the prophet°
Yæša`yà
יְשַׁעיָה°
the son°
of
´Ämôx
אָמוֹץ°
came°°
to°
him, and said°°
unto°
him, Thus°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
Set thine house°
in order;°°°
for°
thou°
shalt die,°°
and not°
live.°° |

20:1 ¶
In those days was Chizqiyyah sick unto death. And the prophet Yeshayah the son of Amotz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith Yahweh, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. |

Then he turned°°°
his face°
to°
the wall,°
and prayed°°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
saying,°° |

20:2
Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto Yahweh, saying, |
|
20:3
I beseech°
thee,°
O
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
remember°°
now°°
how°
I have walked°°
before°
thee in truth°
and with a perfect°
heart,°
and have done°°
[that which is] good°
in thy sight.°
And
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
wept°°°
sore.°° |

I beseech thee, O Yahweh, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done [that which is] good in thy sight. And Chizqiyyah wept sore. |

And it came to pass,°
afore°
Yæša`yà
יְשַׁעיָה°
was gone out°°
into the middle°
court,°°°
that the word°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
came°
to°
him, saying,°° |

20:4
And it came to pass, afore Yeshayah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of Yahweh came to him, saying, |

Turn again,°°
and tell°°°
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
the captain°
of my people,°
Thus°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
the
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
thy father,°
I have heard°°°
thy prayer,°
I have seen°°°
thy tears:°
behold,°
I will heal°°
thee: on the third°
day°
thou shalt go up°°
unto the house°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

Turn again, and tell Chizqiyyah the captain of my people, Thus saith Yahweh, the Elohim of Dawid thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of Yahweh. |

And I will add°°
unto°
thy days°
fifteen°°
years;°
and I will deliver°°
thee and this°
city°
out of the hand°°
of the king°
of
´Aššûr
אַשּׁוּר;°
and I will defend°°°
this°
city°
for mine own sake,°
and for my servant°
Däwiđ's
דָּוִד°
sake.° |

20:6
And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Ashshur; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant Dawid's sake. |

And
Yæša`yà
יְשַׁעיָה°
said,°°
Take°°
a lump°
of figs.°
And they took°°
and laid°°
[it] on°
the boil,°
and he recovered.°° |

And Yeshayah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid [it] on the boil, and he recovered. |

20:8 ¶
And
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
said°°
unto°
Yæša`yà
יְשַׁעיָה,°
What°
[shall be] the sign°
that°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
will heal°°
me, and that I shall go up°°
into the house°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
the third°
day?° |

20:8 ¶
And Chizqiyyah said unto Yeshayah, What [shall be] the sign that Yahweh will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of Yahweh the third day? |

20:9
And
Yæša`yà
יְשַׁעיָה°
said,°°
This°
sign°
shalt thou have of°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
that°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
will do°°°
the thing°
that°
he hath spoken:°°
shall the shadow°
go forward°°
ten°
degrees,°
or°
go back°°
ten°
degrees?° |

20:9
And Yeshayah said, This sign shalt thou have of Yahweh, that Yahweh will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? |

20:10
And
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
answered,°°
It is a light thing°°
for the shadow°
to go down°°
ten°
degrees:°
nay,°
but°
let the shadow°
return°°
backward°
ten°
degrees.° |

And Chizqiyyah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. |

the prophet°
cried°°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:°
and he brought°°°
the shadow°
ten°
degrees°
backward,°
by°
which°
it had gone down°°
in the dial°
of
´Äçäz
אָחָז.° |

And Yeshayah the prophet cried unto Yahweh: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Achaz. |

20:12 ¶
At that°
time°
Bærö´đaȼ Bal´áđän
בְּרֹאדַך־בַּלאֲדָן,°
the son°
of
Bal´áđän
בַּלאֲדָן,°
king°
of
Bävel
בָּבֶל,°
sent°°
letters°
and a present°
unto°
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה:°
for°
he had heard°°
that°
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
had been sick.°° |

20:12 ¶
At that time Berodakh-Baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Bavel, sent letters and a present unto Chizqiyyah: for he had heard that Chizqiyyah had been sick. |

20:13
And
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
hearkened°°
unto°
them, and shewed°°
them°
all°
the house°
of his precious things,°°
the silver,°
and the gold,°
and the spices,°
and the precious°
ointment,°
and [all] the house°
of his armour,°
and all°
that°
was found°°
in his treasures:°
there was°
nothing°°
in his house,°
nor in all°
his dominion,°
that°
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
shewed°°
them not.° |

And Chizqiyyah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and [all] the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Chizqiyyah shewed them not. |

חִזקִיָּה,°
and said°°
unto°
him, What°
said°°
these°
men?°°
and from whence°°
came°°
they unto°
thee? And
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
said,°°
They are come°°
from a far°
country,°°°
[even] from
Bävel
בָּבֶל.°° |

20:14 ¶
Then came Yeshayah the prophet unto king Chizqiyyah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Chizqiyyah said, They are come from a far country, [even] from Bavel. |

And he said,°°
What°
have they seen°°
in thine house?°
And
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
answered,°°°
All°
[the things] that°
[are] in mine house°
have they seen:°°
there is°
nothing°°
among my treasures°
that°
I have not°
shewed°°
them. |

20:15
And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Chizqiyyah answered, All [the things] that [are] in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them. |
|
20:16

חִזקִיָּה,°
Hear°°
the word°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

And Yeshayah said unto Chizqiyyah, Hear the word of Yahweh. |

Behold,°
the days°
come,°°
that all°
that°
[is] in thine house,°
and that which°
thy fathers°
have laid up in store°°
unto°
this°
day,°
shall be carried°°
into
Bävel
בָּבֶל:°
nothing°°
shall be left,°°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

20:17
Behold, the days come, that all that [is] in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Bavel: nothing shall be left, saith Yahweh. |

20:18
And of thy sons°°
that°
shall issue°°
from°
thee, which°
thou shalt beget,°°
shall they take away;°°
and they shall be°
eunuchs°
in the palace°
of the king°
of
Bävel
בָּבֶל.° |

20:18
And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Bavel. |

20:19
Then said°°
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
unto°
Yæša`yà
יְשַׁעיָה,°
Good°
[is] the word°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
which°
thou hast spoken.°°
And he said,°°
[Is it] not°
[good], if°
peace°
and truth°
be°
in my days?° |

Then said Chizqiyyah unto Yeshayah, Good [is] the word of Yahweh which thou hast spoken. And he said, [Is it] not [good], if peace and truth be in my days? |

20:20 ¶
And the rest°
of the acts°
of
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה,°
and all°
his might,°
and how°
he made°°°
a pool,°
and a conduit,°
and brought°°°
water°
into the city,°
[are] they°
not°
written°°
in°
the book°
of the chronicles°°
of the kings°
of
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה?° |

20:20 ¶
And the rest of the acts of Chizqiyyah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah? |

20:21
And
Çizkiyyà
חִזקִיָּה°
slept°°
with°
his fathers:°
and
Mænaššè
מְנַשֶּׁה°
his son°
reigned°°
in his stead.° |

20:21
And Chizqiyyah slept with his fathers: and Menashsheh his son reigned in his stead. |
