Luke 10
1 Christ sendeth out at once seventy disciples to work miracles, and to preach: 17 admonisheth them to be humble, and wherein to rejoice: 21 thanketh his Father for his grace: 23 magnifieth the happy estate of his Church: 25 teacheth the lawyer how to attain eternal life, and to take every one for his neighbour that needeth his mercy: 41 reprehendeth Martha, and commendeth Mary her sister.

Now 1161 after 3326 this 3778 the Lord 2962 appointed 322 seventy 1440 others 2087, and sent 649 them in pairs 1417 ahead 4253 4383 of Him to every 3956 city 4172 and place 5117 where 3757 He Himself 846 was going 3195 to come 2064.
10:2
And He was saying 3004 to them, “The harvest 2326 is plentiful 4183, but the laborers 2040 are few 3641; therefore 3767 beseech 1189a the Lord 2962 of the harvest 2326 to send 1544b out laborers 2040 into His harvest 2326.

“Go 5217; behold 2400, I send 649 you out as lambs 704 in the midst 3319 of wolves 3074.
10:4
“Carry 941 no 3361 money 905 belt 905, no 3361 bag 4082, no 3361 shoes 5266; and greet 782 no 3367 one 3367 on the way 3598.
10:5
“Whatever 3739 house 3614 you enter 1525, first 4413 say 3004, ‘Peace 1515 [be] to this 3778 house 3624.’
10:6
“If 1437 a man 5207 of peace 1515 is there 1563, your peace 1515 will rest 1879 on him; but if 1487 not, it will return 344 to you.

“Stay 3306 in that house 3614, eating 2068 and drinking 4095 what they give 3844 you; for the laborer 2040 is worthy 514 of his wages 3408. Do not keep moving 3327 from house 3614 to house 3614.

“Whatever 3739 city 4172 you enter 1525 and they receive 1209 you, eat 2068 what is set 3908 before 3908 you;

and heal 2323 those 3588 in it who are sick 772, and say 3004 to them, ‘The kingdom 932 of God 2316 has come 1448 near 1448 to you.’

“But whatever 3739 302 city 4172 you enter 1525 and they do not receive 1209 you, go 1831 out into its streets 4116 and say 3004,

‘Even 2532 the dust 2868 of your city 4172 which clings 2853 to our feet 4228 we wipe 631 off 631 [in protest] against you; yet 4133 be sure 1097 of this 3778, that the kingdom 932 of God 2316 has come 1448 near 1448.’

“I say 3004 to you, it will be more 414 tolerable 414 in that day 2250 for Sodom 4670 than 2228 for that city 4172.
10:13
¶ “Woe 3759 to you, Chorazin 5523! Woe 3759 to you, Bethsaida 966! For if 1487 the miracles 1411 had been performed 1096 in Tyre 5184 and Sidon 4605 which 3739 occurred 1096 in you, they would have repented 3340 long 3819 ago 3819, sitting 2521 in sackcloth 4526 and ashes 4700.

“But it will be more 414 tolerable 414 for Tyre 5184 and Sidon 4605 in the judgment 2920 than 2228 for you.
10:15
“And you, Capernaum 2746b, will not be exalted 5312 to heaven 3772, will you? You will be brought 2597 down 2597 to Hades 86!
10:16
¶ “The one who listens 191 to you listens 191 to Me, and the one who rejects 114 you rejects 114 Me; and he who rejects 114 Me rejects 114 the One who sent 649 Me.”
10:17
¶ The seventy 1440 returned 5290 with joy 5479, saying 3004, “Lord 2962, even 2532 the demons 1140 are subject 5293 to us in Your name 3686.”

And He said 3004 to them, “I was watching 2334 Satan 4567 fall 4098 from heaven 3772 like 5613 lightning 796.
10:19
“Behold 2400, I have given 1325 you authority 1849 to tread 3961 on serpents 3789 and scorpions 4651, and over 1909 all 3956 the power 1411 of the enemy 2190, and nothing 3762 will injure 91 you.
10:20
“Nevertheless 4133 do not rejoice 5463 in this 3778, that the spirits 4151 are subject 5293 to you, but rejoice 5463 that your names 3686 are recorded 1449 in heaven 3772.”

¶ At that very 846 time 5610 He rejoiced 21 greatly 21 in the Holy 40 Spirit 4151, and said 3004, “I praise 1843 You, O Father 3962, Lord 2962 of heaven 3772 and earth 1093, that You have hidden 613 these 3778 things 3778 from [the] wise 4680 and intelligent 4908 and have revealed 601 them to infants 3516. Yes 3483a, Father 3962, for this 3779 way 3779 was well-pleasing 2107 in Your sight 1715.

“All 3956 things 3956 have been handed 3860 over 3860 to Me by My Father 3962, and no 3762 one 3762 knows 1097 who 5101 the Son 5207 is except 1508 the Father 3962, and who 5101 the Father 3962 is except 1508 the Son 5207, and anyone to whom 3739 the Son 5207 wills 1014 to reveal 601 [Him].”

¶ Turning 4762 to the disciples 3101, He said 3004 privately 2596 2398, “Blessed 3107 [are] the eyes 3788 which see 991 the things you see 991,

for I say 3004 to you, that many 4183 prophets 4396 and kings 935 wished 2309 to see 3708 the things which 3739 you see 991, and did not see 3708 [them], and to hear 191 the things which 3739 you hear 191, and did not hear 191 [them].”

¶ And a lawyer 3544 stood 450 up and put 1598 Him to the test 1598, saying 3004, “Teacher 1320, what 5101 shall I do 4160 to inherit 2816 eternal 166 life 2222?”

And He said 3004 to him, “What 5101 is written 1125 in the Law 3551? How 4459 does it read 314 to you?”
10:27
And he answered 611, “YOU SHALL LOVE 25 THE LORD 2962 YOUR GOD 2316 WITH ALL 3650 YOUR HEART 2588, AND WITH ALL 3650 YOUR SOUL 5590, AND WITH ALL 3650 YOUR STRENGTH 2479, AND WITH ALL 3650 YOUR MIND 1271; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR 4139 AS YOURSELF 4572.”
10:28
And He said 3004 to him, “You have answered 611 correctly 3723; DO 4160 THIS 3778 AND YOU WILL LIVE 2198.”
10:29
But wishing 2309 to justify 1344 himself 1438, he said 3004 to Jesus 2424, “And who 5101 is my neighbor 4139?”

Jesus 2424 replied 5274 and said 3004, “A man 444 was going 2597 down 2597 from Jerusalem 2419 to Jericho 2410a, and fell 4045 among 4045 robbers 3027, and they stripped 1562 him and beat 2007 4127 him, and went 565 away 565 leaving 863 him half 2253 dead 2253.

“And by chance 4795 a priest 2409 was going 2597 down 2597 on that road 3598, and when he saw 3708 him, he passed 492 by on the other 492 side 492.

“Likewise 3668 a Levite 3019 also 2532, when he came 2064 to the place 5117 and saw 3708 him, passed 492 by on the other 492 side 492.

“But a Samaritan 4541, who was on a journey 3593, came 2064 upon him; and when he saw 3708 him, he felt 4697 compassion 4697,

and came 4334 to him and bandaged 2611 up his wounds 5134, pouring 2022 oil 1637 and wine 3631 on [them]; and he put 1913 him on his own 2398 beast 2934, and brought 71 him to an inn 3829 and took 1959 care 1959 of him.

“On the next 839 day 839 he took 1544b out two 1417 denarii 1220 and gave 1325 them to the innkeeper 3830 and said 3004, ‘Take 1959 care 1959 of him; and whatever 3739 5100 302 more 4325 you spend 4325, when 1722 I return 1880 I will repay 591 you.’

“Which 5101 of these 3778 three 5140 do you think 1380 proved 1096 to be a neighbor 4139 to the man who fell 1706 into the robbers’ 3027 [hands]?”

And he said 3004, “The one who showed 4160 mercy 1656 toward 3326 him.” Then 1161 Jesus 2424 said 3004 to him, “Go 4198 and do 4160 the same 3668.”

¶ Now 1161 as they were traveling 4198 along, He entered 1525 a village 2968; and a woman 1135 named 3686 Martha 3136 welcomed 5264 Him into her home 3614.

She had 1510 a sister 79 called 2564 Mary 3137, who 3739 was seated 3869a at the Lord’s 2962 feet 4228, listening 191 to His word 3056.
10:40
But Martha 3136 was distracted 4049 with all 4183 her preparations 1248; and she came 2186 up [to Him] and said 3004, “Lord 2962, do You not care 3199 that my sister 79 has left 2641 me to do 1247 all the serving 1247 alone 3441? Then 3767 tell 3004 her to help 4878 me.”

But the Lord 2962 answered 611 and said 3004 to her, “Martha 3136, Martha 3136, you are worried 3309 and bothered 2350a about 4012 so many 4183 things 4183;

but [only] one 1520 thing 1520 is necessary 5532, for Mary 3137 has chosen 1586 the good 18 part 3310, which 3748 shall not be taken 851 away 851 from her.”
