1995 New American Standard Bible (NASB)1 Kings 71 The building of Solomon's house. 2 Of the house of Lebanon. 6 Of the porch of pillars. 7 Of the porch of judgment. 8 Of the house for Pharaoh's daughter. 13 Hiram's work of the two pillars. 23 Of the molten sea. 27 Of the ten bases. 38 Of the ten lavers, 40 and all the vessels. 7:1 Now Solomon 8010 was building 1129 his own house 1004 thirteen 7969 6240 years 8141, and he finished 3615 all 3605 his house 1004. 7:2 He built 1129 the house 1004 of the forest 3293a of Lebanon 3844; its length 753 was 100 3967 cubits 520 and its width 7341 50 2572 cubits 520 and its height 6967 30 7970 cubits 520, on four 702 rows 2905 of cedar 730 pillars 5982 with cedar 730 beams 3772 on the pillars 5982. 7:3 It was paneled 5603 with cedar 730 above 4605 5921 the side 6763 chambers 6763 which 834 were on the 45 705 2568 pillars 5982, 15 2568 6240 in each row 2905. 7:4 [There were artistic window] frames 8261 in three 7969 rows 2905, and window 4237 was opposite 413 window 4237 in three 7969 ranks 6471. 7:5 All 3605 the doorways 6607 and doorposts 4201 [had] squared 7251 [artistic] frames 8260, and window 4237 was opposite 4136 413 window 4237 in three 7969 ranks 6471. 7:6 ¶ Then he made 6213a the hall 197 of pillars 5982; its length 753 was 50 2572 cubits 520 and its width 7341 30 7970 cubits 520, and a porch 197 [was] in front 6440 of them and pillars 5982 and a threshold 5646 in front 6440 of them. 7:7 ¶ He made 6213a the hall 197 of the throne 3678 where 834 8033 he was to judge 8199, the hall 197 of judgment 4941, and it was paneled 5603 with cedar 730 from floor 7172 to floor 7172. 7:8 ¶ His house 1004 where 834 8033 he was to live 3427, the other 312 court 2691a inward 4480 1004 from the hall 197, was of the same 2088 workmanship 4639. He also made 6213a a house 1004 like this 2088 hall 197 for Pharaoh’s 6547 daughter 1323, whom 834 Solomon 8010 had married 3947. 7:9 ¶ All 3605 these 428 were of costly 3368 stones 68, of stone 1496 cut 1496 according to measure 4060a, sawed 1641 with saws 4050, inside 4480 1004 and outside 4480 2351; even from the foundation 4527 to the coping 2947, and so on the outside 2351 to the great 1419 court 2691a. 7:10 ¶ The foundation 3245 was of costly 3368 stones 68, [even] large 1419 stones 68, stones 68 of ten 6235 cubits 520 and stones 68 of eight 8083 cubits 520. 7:11 And above 4480 4605 were costly 3368 stones 68, stone 1496 cut 1496 according to measure 4060a, and cedar 730. 7:12 So the great 1419 court 2691a all 5439 around 5439 [had] three 7969 rows 2905 of cut 1496 stone 1496 and a row 2905 of cedar 730 beams 3772 even as the inner 6442 court 2691a of the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, and the porch 197 of the house 1004. 7:13 ¶ Now King 4428 Solomon 8010 sent 7971 and brought 3947 Hiram 2438 from Tyre 6865. 7:14 He was a widow’s 490 son 1121 from the tribe 4294 of Naphtali 5321, and his father 1 was a man 376 of Tyre 6876, a worker 2790a in bronze 5178; and he was filled 4390 with wisdom 2451 and understanding 8394 and skill 1847 for doing 6213a any 3605 work 4399 in bronze 5178. So he came 935 to King 4428 Solomon 8010 and performed 6213a all 3605 his work 4399. 7:15 ¶ He fashioned 6696c the two 8147 pillars 5982 of bronze 5178; eighteen 8083 6240 cubits 520 was the height 6967 of one 259 pillar 5982, and a line 2339 of twelve 8147 6240 cubits 520 measured 5437 the circumference 5437 of both 8147. 7:16 He also made 6213a two 8147 capitals 3805 of molten 3332 bronze 5178 to set 5414 on the tops 7218 of the pillars 5982; the height 6967 of the one 259 capital 3805 was five 2568 cubits 520 and the height 6967 of the other 8145 capital 3805 was five 2568 cubits 520. 7:17 [There were] nets 7639 of network 7639 and twisted 1434 threads 1434 of chainwork 4639 8333 for the capitals 3805 which 834 were on the top 7218 of the pillars 5982; seven 7651 for the one 259 capital 3805 and seven 7651 for the other 8145 capital 3805. 7:18 So he made 6213a the pillars 5982, and two 8147 rows 2905 around 5439 on the one 259 network 7639 to cover 3680 the capitals 3805 which 834 were on the top 7218 of the pomegranates 7416; and so 3651 he did 6213a for the other 8145 capital 3805. 7:19 The capitals 3805 which 834 [were] on the top 7218 of the pillars 5982 in the porch 197 were of lily 7799 design 4639, four 702 cubits 520. 7:20 [There were] capitals 3805 on the two 8147 pillars 5982, even 1571 above 4480 4605 [and] close 4480 5980 to the rounded 990 projection 990 which 834 was beside 5676 the network 7639; and the pomegranates 7416 [numbered] two hundred 3967 in rows 2905 around 5439 both 8145 capitals 3805. 7:21 Thus he set 6965 up the pillars 5982 at the porch 197 of the nave 1964; and he set 6965 up the right 3233 pillar 5982 and named 7121 8034 it Jachin 3199, and he set 6965 up the left 8042 pillar 5982 and named 7121 8034 it Boaz 1162. 7:22 On the top 7218 of the pillars 5982 was lily 7799 design 4639. So the work 4399 of the pillars 5982 was finished 8552. 7:23 ¶ Now he made 6213a the sea 3220 of cast 3332 [metal] ten 6235 cubits 520 from brim 8193 to brim 8193, circular 5696 in form 5439, and its height 6967 was five 2568 cubits 520, and thirty 7970 cubits 520 in circumference 6961a 5437 5439. 7:24 Under 8478 its brim 8193 gourds 6497 went around 5439 encircling 5437 it ten 6235 to a cubit 520, completely 5439 surrounding 5362b the sea 3220; the gourds 6497 were in two 8147 rows 2905, cast 3332 with the rest 3333. 7:25 It stood 5975 on twelve 8147 6240 oxen 1241, three 7969 facing 6437 north 6828, three 7969 facing 6437 west 3220, three 7969 facing 6437 south 5045, and three 7969 facing 6437 east 4217; and the sea 3220 [was set] on top 4605 of them, and all 3605 their rear 268 parts 268 [turned] inward 1004. 7:26 It was a handbreadth 2947 thick 5672, and its brim 8193 was made 4639 like the brim 8193 of a cup 3563a, [as] a lily 7799 blossom 6525; it could hold 3557 two thousand 505 baths 1324. 7:27 ¶ Then he made 6213a the ten 6235 stands 4350 of bronze 5178; the length 753 of each 259 stand 4350 was four 702 cubits 520 and its width 7341 four 702 cubits 520 and its height 6967 three 7969 cubits 520. 7:28 This 2088 was the design 4639 of the stands 4350: they had borders 4526, even borders 4526 between 996 the frames 7948, 7:29 and on the borders 4526 which 834 were between 996 the frames 7948 [were] lions 738, oxen 1241 and cherubim 3742; and on the frames 7948 there [was] a pedestal 3653b above 4480 4605, and beneath 4480 8478 the lions 738 and oxen 1241 [were] wreaths 3914 of hanging 4174 work 4639. 7:30 Now each 259 stand 4350 had four 702 bronze 5178 wheels 212 with bronze 5178 axles 5633b, and its four 702 feet 6471 had supports 3802; beneath 4480 8478 the basin 3595 [were] cast 3332 supports 3802 with wreaths 3914 at each 376 side 5676. 7:31 Its opening 6310 inside 4480 1004 the crown 3805 at the top 4605 [was] a cubit 520, and its opening 6310 [was] round 5696 like the design 4639 of a pedestal 3653b, a cubit 520 and a half 2677; and also 1571 on its opening 6310 [there were] engravings 4734, and their borders 4526 were square 7251, not round 5696. 7:32 The four 702 wheels 212 [were] underneath 8478 the borders 4526, and the axles 3027 of the wheels 212 [were] on the stand 4350. And the height 6967 of a wheel 212 [was] a cubit 520 and a half 2677. 7:33 The workmanship 4639 of the wheels 212 [was] like the workmanship 4639 of a chariot 4818 wheel 212. Their axles 3027, their rims 1354, their spokes 2839, and their hubs 2840 [were] all 3605 cast 3332. 7:34 Now [there were] four 702 supports 3802 at the four 702 corners 6438 of each 259 stand 4350; its supports 3802 [were] part of the stand 4350 itself. 7:35 On the top 7218 of the stand 4350 [there was] a circular 5696 form 5439 half 2677 a cubit 520 high 6967, and on the top 7218 of the stand 4350 its stays 3027 and its borders 4526 [were] part 4480 of it. 7:36 He engraved 6605b on the plates 3871 of its stays 3027 and on its borders 4526, cherubim 3742, lions 738 and palm 8561 trees 8561, according to the clear 4626 space 4626 on each 376, with wreaths 3914 [all] around 5439. 7:37 He made 6213a the ten 6235 stands 4350 like this 2088: all 3605 of them had one 259 casting 4165, one 259 measure 4060a and one 259 form 7095. 7:38 ¶ He made 6213a ten 6235 basins 3595 of bronze 5178, one 259 basin 3595 held 3557 forty 705 baths 1324; each 259 basin 3595 [was] four 702 cubits 520, [and] on each 259 of the ten 6235 stands 4350 [was] one 259 basin 3595. 7:39 Then he set 5414 the stands 4350, five 2568 on the right 3225 side 3802 of the house 1004 and five 2568 on the left 8040 side 3802 of the house 1004; and he set 5414 the sea 3220 [of cast metal] on the right 3233 side 3802 of the house 1004 eastward 6924b toward 4480 4136 the south 5045. 7:40 ¶ Now Hiram 2438 made 6213a the basins 3595 and the shovels 3257 and the bowls 4219. So Hiram 2438 finished 3615 doing 6213a all 3605 the work 4399 which 834 he performed 6213a for King 4428 Solomon 8010 [in] the house 1004 of the LORD 3068: 7:41 the two 8147 pillars 5982 and the [two] bowls 1543 of the capitals 3805 which 834 [were] on the top 7218 of the two 8147 pillars 5982, and the two 8147 networks 7639 to cover 3680 the two 8147 bowls 1543 of the capitals 3805 which 834 [were] on the top 7218 of the pillars 5982; 7:42 and the four 702 hundred 3967 pomegranates 7416 for the two 8147 networks 7639, two 8147 rows 2905 of pomegranates 7416 for each 259 network 7639 to cover 3680 the two 8147 bowls 1543 of the capitals 3805 which 834 [were] on the tops 6440 of the pillars 5982; 7:43 and the ten 6235 stands 4350 with the ten 6235 basins 3595 on the stands 4350; 7:44 and the one 259 sea 3220 and the twelve 8147 6240 oxen 1241 under 8478 the sea 3220; 7:45 and the pails 5518a and the shovels 3257 and the bowls 4219; even all 3605 these 428 utensils 3627 which 834 Hiram 2438 made 6213a for King 4428 Solomon 8010 [in] the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 [were] of polished 4803 bronze 5178. 7:46 In the plain 3603 of the Jordan 3383 the king 4428 cast 3332 them, in the clay 4568 ground 127 between 996 Succoth 5523 and Zarethan 6891. 7:47 Solomon 8010 left 5117 all 3605 the utensils 3627 [unweighed], because 4480 [they were] too 3966 many 7230; the weight 4948 of the bronze 5178 could not be ascertained 2713. 7:48 ¶ Solomon 8010 made 6213a all 3605 the furniture 3627 which 834 [was in] the house 1004 of the LORD 3068: the golden 2091 altar 4196 and the golden 2091 table 7979 on which 834 [was] the bread 3899 of the Presence 6440; 7:49 and the lampstands 4501, five 2568 on the right 3225 side 3225 and five 2568 on the left 8040, in front 6440 of the inner 1687 sanctuary 1687, of pure 5462 gold 2091; and the flowers 6525 and the lamps 5216 and the tongs 4457, of gold 2091; 7:50 and the cups 5592a and the snuffers 4212 and the bowls 4219 and the spoons 3709 and the firepans 4289, of pure 5462 gold 2091; and the hinges 6596 both for the doors 1817 of the inner 6442 house 1004, the most 6944 holy 6944 place 6944, [and] for the doors 1817 of the house 1004, [that is], of the nave 1964, of gold 2091. 7:51 ¶ Thus all 3605 the work 4399 that King 4428 Solomon 8010 performed 6213a [in] the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 was finished 7999a.
