1 Ahab, seduced by false prophets, according to the word of Micaiah, is slain at Ramoth-gilead. 37 The dogs lick up his blood, and Ahaziah succeedeth him. 41 Jehoshaphat's good reign. 45 His acts. 50 Jehoram succeedeth him. 51 Ahaziah's evil reign.

Three 7969 years 8141 passed 3427 without 369 war 4421 between 996 Aram 758 and Israel 3478.
22:2
In the third 7992 year 8141 Jehoshaphat 3092 the king 4428 of Judah 3063 came 3381 down 3381 to the king 4428 of Israel 3478.
22:3
Now the king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 to his servants 5650, “Do you know 3045 that Ramoth-gilead 7433 belongs to us, and we are still 2814 doing 2814 nothing 2814 to take 3947 it out of the hand 3027 of the king 4428 of Aram 758?”
22:4
And he said 559 to Jehoshaphat 3092, “Will you go 1980 with me to battle 4421 at Ramoth-gilead 7433?” And Jehoshaphat 3092 said 559 to the king 4428 of Israel 3478, “I am as you are, my people 5971a as your people 5971a, my horses 5483b as your horses 5483b.”

¶ Moreover, Jehoshaphat 3092 said 559 to the king 4428 of Israel 3478, “Please 4994 inquire 1875 first 3117 for the word 1697 of the LORD 3068.”
22:6
Then the king 4428 of Israel 3478 gathered 6908 the prophets 5030 together, about four 702 hundred 3967 men 376, and said 559 to them, “Shall I go 1980 against 5921 Ramoth-gilead 7433 to battle 4421 or 518 shall I refrain 2308?” And they said 559, “Go 5927 up, for the Lord 136 will give 5414 [it] into the hand 3027 of the king 4428.”
22:7
But Jehoshaphat 3092 said 559, “Is there 369 not yet 5750 a prophet 5030 of the LORD 3068 here 6311 that we may inquire 1875 of him?”
22:8
The king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 to Jehoshaphat 3092, “There is yet 5750 one 259 man 376 by whom we may inquire 1875 of the LORD 3068, but I hate 8130 him, because 3588 he does not prophesy 5012 good 2896a concerning 5921 me, but evil 7451b. [He is] Micaiah 4321 son 1121 of Imlah 3229.” But Jehoshaphat 3092 said 559, “Let not the king 4428 say 559 so 3651.”
22:9
Then the king 4428 of Israel 3478 called 7121 an officer 5631 and said 559, “Bring 4116 quickly 4116 Micaiah 4321 son 1121 of Imlah 3229.”
22:10
Now the king 4428 of Israel 3478 and Jehoshaphat 3092 king 4428 of Judah 3063 were sitting 3427 each 376 on his throne 3678, arrayed 3847 in [their] robes 899b, at the threshing 1637 floor 1637 at the entrance 6607 of the gate 8179 of Samaria 8111; and all 3605 the prophets 5030 were prophesying 5012 before 6440 them.

Then Zedekiah 6667 the son 1121 of Chenaanah 3668 made 6213a horns 7161 of iron 1270 for himself and said 559, “Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, ‘With these 428 you will gore 5055 the Arameans 758 until 5704 they are consumed 3615.’”

All 3605 the prophets 5030 were prophesying 5012 thus 3651, saying 559, “Go 5927 up to Ramoth-gilead 7433 and prosper 6743b, for the LORD 3068 will give 5414 [it] into the hand 3027 of the king 4428.”
22:13
¶ Then the messenger 4397 who 834 went 1980 to summon 7121 Micaiah 4321 spoke 1696 to him saying 559, “Behold 2009 now 4994, the words 1697 of the prophets 5030 are uniformly 259 6310 favorable 2896a to the king 4428. Please 4994 let your word 1697 be like the word 1697 of one 259 of them, and speak 1696 favorably 2896a.”

But Micaiah 4321 said 559, “As the LORD 3068 lives 2416a, what 3588 834 the LORD 3068 says 559 to me, that I shall speak 1696.”
22:15
¶ When he came 935 to the king 4428, the king 4428 said 559 to him, “Micaiah 4321, shall we go 1980 to Ramoth-gilead 7433 to battle 4421, or 518 shall we refrain 2308?” And he answered 559 him, “Go 5927 up and succeed 6743b, and the LORD 3068 will give 5414 [it] into the hand 3027 of the king 4428.”
22:16
Then the king 4428 said 559 to him, “How 5704 4100 many 5704 4100 times 6471 must I adjure 7650 you to speak 1696 to me nothing 3808 but the truth 571 in the name 8034 of the LORD 3068?”
22:17
So he said 559, “I saw 7200 all 3605 Israel 3478 Scattered 6327a on the mountains 2022, Like sheep 6629 which 834 have 369 no 369 shepherd 7462a. And the LORD 3068 said 559, ‘These 428 have no 3808 master 113. Let each 376 of them return 7725 to his house 1004 in peace 7965.’”

Then the king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 to Jehoshaphat 3092, “Did I not tell 559 you that he would not prophesy 5012 good 2896a concerning 5921 me, but evil 7451b?”
22:19
¶ Micaiah said 559, “Therefore 3651, hear 8085 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068. I saw 7200 the LORD 3068 sitting 3427 on His throne 3678, and all 3605 the host 6635 of heaven 8064 standing 5975 by Him on His right 3225 and on His left 8040.

“The LORD 3068 said 559, ‘Who 4310 will entice 6601b Ahab 256 to go 5927 up and fall 5307 at Ramoth-gilead 7433?’ And one 2088 said 559 this 3541 while another 2088 said 559 that.
22:21
“Then a spirit 7307 came 3318 forward 3318 and stood 5975 before 6440 the LORD 3068 and said 559, ‘I will entice 6601b him.’
22:22
“The LORD 3068 said 559 to him, ‘How 4100?’ And he said 559, ‘I will go 3318 out and be a deceiving 8267 spirit 7307 in the mouth 6310 of all 3605 his prophets 5030.’ Then He said 559, ‘You are to entice 6601b [him] and also 1571 prevail 3201. Go 3318 and do 6213a so 3651.’

“Now 6258 therefore, behold 2009, the LORD 3068 has put 5414 a deceiving 8267 spirit 7307 in the mouth 6310 of all 3605 these 428 your prophets 5030; and the LORD 3068 has proclaimed 1696 disaster 7463a against 5921 you.”
22:24
¶ Then Zedekiah 6667 the son 1121 of Chenaanah 3668 came 5066 near 5066 and struck 5221 Micaiah 4321 on the cheek 3895 and said 559, “How 335 2088 did the Spirit 7307 of the LORD 3068 pass 5674a from me to speak 1696 to you?”

Micaiah 4321 said 559, “Behold 2009, you shall see 7200 on that day 3117 when 834 you enter 935 an inner 2315 room 2315 to hide 2247 yourself.”

Then the king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559, “Take 3947 Micaiah 4321 and return 7725 him to Amon 526 the governor 8269 of the city 5892b and to Joash 3060 the king’s 4428 son 1121;
22:27
and say 559, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the king 4428, “Put 7760 this 2088 man in prison 1004 3608 and feed 398 him sparingly 3906 with bread 3899 and water 4325 until 5704 I return 935 safely 7965.”’”

Micaiah 4321 said 559, “If 518 you indeed 7725 return 7725 safely 7965 the LORD 3068 has not spoken 1696 by me.” And he said 559, “Listen 8085, all 3605 you people 5971a.”

¶ So the king 4428 of Israel 3478 and Jehoshaphat 3092 king 4428 of Judah 3063 went 5927 up against Ramoth-gilead 7433.
22:30
The king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 to Jehoshaphat 3092, “I will disguise 2664 myself and go 935 into the battle 4421, but you put 3847 on your robes 899b.” So the king 4428 of Israel 3478 disguised 2664 himself and went 935 into the battle 4421.
22:31
Now the king 4428 of Aram 758 had commanded 6680 the thirty-two 7970 8147 captains 8269 of his chariots 7393, saying 559, “Do not fight 3898a with small 6996b or great 1419, but with the king 4428 of Israel 3478 alone 905.”
22:32
So when the captains 8269 of the chariots 7393 saw 7200 Jehoshaphat 3092, they said 559, “Surely 389 it is the king 4428 of Israel 3478,” and they turned 5493 aside 5493 to fight 3898a against 5921 him, and Jehoshaphat 3092 cried 2199 out.

When the captains 8269 of the chariots 7393 saw 7200 that it was not the king 4428 of Israel 3478, they turned 7725 back 7725 from pursuing 310 him.
22:34
¶ Now a certain man 376 drew 4900 his bow 7198 at random 8537 and struck 5221 the king 4428 of Israel 3478 in a joint 1694 of the armor 8302. So he said 559 to the driver 7395 of his chariot 7395, “Turn 2015 around 3027 and take 3318 me out of the fight 4264; for I am 2470a severely 2470a wounded 2470a.”

The battle 4421 raged 5927 that day 3117, and the king 4428 was propped 5975 up in his chariot 4818 in front 5227 of the Arameans 758, and died 4191 at evening 6153, and the blood 1818 from the wound 4347 ran 3332 into the bottom 2436 of the chariot 7393.

Then a cry 7440 passed 5674a throughout 5674a the army 4264 close to sunset 8121 935, saying 559, “Every 376 man 376 to his city 5892b and every 376 man 376 to his country 776.”

¶ So the king 4428 died 4191 and was brought 935 to Samaria 8111, and they buried 6912 the king 4428 in Samaria 8111.

They washed 7857 the chariot 7393 by the pool 1295 of Samaria 8111, and the dogs 3611 licked 3952 up his blood 1818 (now the harlots 2181 bathed 7364 themselves [there)], according to the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 which 834 He spoke 1696.

Now the rest 3499a of the acts 1697 of Ahab 256 and all 3605 that he did 6213a and the ivory 8127 house 1004 which 834 he built 1129 and all 3605 the cities 5892b which 834 he built 1129, are they not written 3789 in the Book 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the Kings 4428 of Israel 3478?

So Ahab 256 slept 7901 with his fathers 1, and Ahaziah 274 his son 1121 became 4427a king 4427a in his place 8478.

¶ Now Jehoshaphat 3092 the son 1121 of Asa 609 became 4427a king 4427a over 5921 Judah 3063 in the fourth 702 year 8141 of Ahab 256 king 4428 of Israel 3478.

Jehoshaphat 3092 was thirty-five 7970 2568 years 8141 old 1121 when he became 4427a king 4427a, and he reigned 4427a twenty-five 6242 2568 years 8141 in Jerusalem 3389. And his mother’s 517 name 8034 was Azubah 5806 the daughter 1323 of Shilhi 7977.

So he served 5647 Baal 1168a and worshiped 7812 him and provoked 3707 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 to anger 3707, according to all 3605 that his father 1 had done 6213a.
