1 Kings 10

1 The queen of Sheba admireth the wisdom of Solomon. 14 Solomon's gold. 16 His targets. 18 The throne of ivory. 21 His vessels. 24 His presents. 26 His chariots and horse. 28 His tribute.

 10:1 Now when the queen 4436 of Sheba 7614 heard 8085 about the fame 8088 of Solomon 8010 concerning the name 8034 of the LORD 3068, she came 935 to test 5254 him with difficult 2420 questions 2420.

 10:2 So she came 935 to Jerusalem 3389 with a very 3966 large 3515 retinue 2428, with camels 1581 carrying 5375 spices 1314 and very 3966 much 7227a gold 2091 and precious 3368 stones 68. When she came 935 to Solomon 8010, she spoke 1696 with him about all 3605 that was in her heart 3824.

 10:3 Solomon 8010 answered 5046 all 3605 her questions 1697; nothing 3808 1697 was hidden 5956 from the king 4428 which 834 he did not explain 5046 to her.

 10:4 When the queen 4436 of Sheba 7614 perceived 7200 all 3605 the wisdom 2451 of Solomon 8010, the house 1004 that he had built 1129,

 10:5 the food 3978 of his table 7979, the seating 4186 of his servants 5650, the attendance 4612 of his waiters 8334 and their attire 4403, his cupbearers 4945a, and his stairway 5930b by which 834 he went 5927 up to the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, there was no 3808 more 5750 spirit 7307 in her.

 10:6 Then she said 559 to the king 4428, “It was a true 571 report 1697 which 834 I heard 8085 in my own land 776 about 5921 your words 1697 and your wisdom 2451.

 10:7 “Nevertheless I did not believe 539 the reports 1697, until 5704 834 I came 935 and my eyes 5869 had seen 7200 it. And behold 2009, the half 2677 was not told 5046 me. You exceed 3254 [in] wisdom 2451 and prosperity 2896b the report 8052 which 834 I heard 8085.

 10:8 “How blessed 835 are your men 376, how blessed 835 are these 428 your servants 5650 who stand 5975 before 6440 you continually 8548 [and] hear 8085 your wisdom 2451.

 10:9 “Blessed 1288 be the LORD 3068 your God 430 who 834 delighted 2654a in you to set 5414 you on the throne 3678 of Israel 3478; because the LORD 3068 loved 157 Israel 3478 forever 5769, therefore He made 7760 you king 4428, to do 6213a justice 4941 and righteousness 6666.”

 10:10 She gave 5414 the king 4428 a hundred 3967 and twenty 6242 talents 3603 of gold 2091, and a very 3966 great 7235a [amount] of spices 1314 and precious 3368 stones 68. Never 3808 again 5750 did such 1931 abundance 7230 of spices 1314 come 935 in as that which 834 the queen 4436 of Sheba 7614 gave 5414 King 4428 Solomon 8010.

 10:11 ¶ Also 1571 the ships 590 of Hiram 2438, which 834 brought 5375 gold 2091 from Ophir 211, brought 935 in from Ophir 211 a very 3966 great 7235a [number of] almug 484 trees 6086 and precious 3368 stones 68.

 10:12 The king 4428 made 6213a of the almug 484 trees 6086 supports 4552 for the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 and for the king’s 4428 house 1004, also lyres 3658 and harps 5035b for the singers 7891; such 3651 almug 484 trees 6086 have not come 935 in [again] nor 3808 have they been seen 7200 to this 2088 day 3117.

 10:13 ¶ King 4428 Solomon 8010 gave 5414 to the queen 4436 of Sheba 7614 all 3605 her desire 2656 which 834 she requested 7592, besides 4480 905 what 834 he gave 5414 her according to his royal 4428 bounty 3027. Then she turned 6437 and went 1980 to her own land 776 together with her servants 5650.

 10:14 ¶ Now the weight 4948 of gold 2091 which 834 came 935 in to Solomon 8010 in one 259 year 8141 was 666 8337a 3967 8346 8337a talents 3603 of gold 2091,

 10:15 besides 905 4480 [that] from the traders 376 8446 and the wares 4536 of the merchants 7402 and all 3605 the kings 4428 of the Arabs 6152a and the governors 6346 of the country 776.

 10:16 King 4428 Solomon 8010 made 6213a 200 3967 large 6793c shields 6793c of beaten 7819 gold 2091, using 5927 600 8337a 3967 [shekels of] gold 2091 on each 259 large 6793c shield 6793c.

 10:17 [He made] 300 7969 3967 shields 4043 of beaten 7819 gold 2091, using 5927 three 7969 minas 4488 of gold 2091 on each 259 shield 4043, and the king 4428 put 5414 them in the house 1004 of the forest 3293a of Lebanon 3844.

 10:18 Moreover, the king 4428 made 6213a a great 1419 throne 3678 of ivory 8127 and overlaid 6823 it with refined 6338 gold 2091.

 10:19 [There were] six 8337a steps 4609b to the throne 3678 and a round 5696 top 7218 to the throne 3678 at its rear 310, and arms 3027 on each 3117 side 2088 of the seat 4725 7675, and two 8147 lions 738 standing 5975 beside 681a the arms 3027.

 10:20 Twelve 8147 6240 lions 738 were standing 5975 there 8033 on the six 8337a steps 4609b on the one 2088 side 2088 and on the other 2088; nothing 3808 like 3651 [it] was made 6213a for any 3605 other kingdom 4467.

 10:21 All 3605 King 4428 Solomon’s 8010 drinking 4945b vessels 3627 [were] of gold 2091, and all 3605 the vessels 3627 of the house 1004 of the forest 3293a of Lebanon 3844 [were] of pure 5462 gold 2091. None 369 was of silver 3701; it was not considered 2803 valuable 3972 in the days 3117 of Solomon 8010.

 10:22 For the king 4428 had at sea 3220 the ships 590 of Tarshish 8659 with the ships 590 of Hiram 2438; once 259 every three 7969 years 8141 the ships 590 of Tarshish 8659 came 935 bringing 5375 gold 2091 and silver 3701, ivory 8143 and apes 6971 and peacocks 8500.

 10:23 ¶ So King 4428 Solomon 8010 became 1431 greater 1431 than 4480 all 3605 the kings 4428 of the earth 776 in riches 6239 and in wisdom 2451.

 10:24 All 3605 the earth 776 was seeking 1245 the presence 6440 of Solomon 8010, to hear 8085 his wisdom 2451 which 834 God 430 had put 5414 in his heart 3820.

 10:25 They brought 935 every 376 man 376 his gift 4503, articles 3627 of silver 3701 and gold 2091, garments 8008, weapons 5402, spices 1314, horses 5483b, and mules 6505, so 1697 much 1697 year 8141 by year 8141.

 10:26 ¶ Now Solomon 8010 gathered 622 chariots 7393 and horsemen 6571b; and he had 1961 1,400 505 702 3967 chariots 7393 and 12,000 8147 6240 505 horsemen 6571b, and he stationed 5148 them in the chariot 7393 cities 5892b and with the king 4428 in Jerusalem 3389.

 10:27 The king 4428 made 5414 silver 3701 [as common] as stones 68 in Jerusalem 3389, and he made 5414 cedars 730 as plentiful 7230 as sycamore 8256 trees 8256 that are in the lowland 8219.

 10:28 Also Solomon’s 8010 import 4161 of horses 5483b was from Egypt 4714 and Kue 6961b, [and] the king’s 4428 merchants 5503 procured 3947 [them] from Kue 6961b for a price 4242.

 10:29 A chariot 4818 was imported 5927 3318 from Egypt 4714 for 600 8337a 3967 [shekels] of silver 3701, and a horse 5483b for 150 2572 3967; and by the same 3651 means 3651 3027 they exported 3318 them to all 3605 the kings 4428 of the Hittites 2850 and to the kings 4428 of the Arameans 758.
