וְטוֹבִיָּה הָעַמֹּנִי אֶצְלוֹ וַיֹּאמֶר גַּם אֲשֶׁר־הֵם בּוֹנִים אִם־יַעֲלֶה שׁוּעָל וּפָרַץ חוֹמַת אַבְנֵיהֶם פ

וְאַל־תְּכַס עַל־עֲוֹנָם וְחַטָּאתָם מִלְּפָנֶיךָ אַל־תִּמָּחֶה כִּי הִכְעִיסוּ לְנֶגֶד הַבּוֹנִים

וַנִּבְנֶה אֶת־הַחוֹמָה וַתִּקָּשֵׁר כָּל־הַחוֹמָה עַד־חֶצְיָהּ וַיְהִי לֵב לָעָם לַעֲשׂוֹת פ

 4:7 ¶ But it came to pass, x1961 [that] when x834 Sanvallaţ סַנבַלַּט, 5571 and Ţôviyyà טוֹבִיָּה, 2900 and the `Árävîm עֲרָבִים, 6163 and the `Ammönîm עַמֹּנִים, 5984 and the ´Ašdôđîm אַשׁדּוֹדִים, 796 heard 8085 z8804 that x3588 the walls 2346 of Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם 3389 were made up, 724 5927 z8804 [and] that x3588 the breaches 6555 z8803 began 2490 z8689 to be stopped, 5640 z8736 then they were very 3966 wroth, 2734 z8799

וַיִּקְשְׁרוּ כֻלָּם יַחְדָּו לָבוֹא לְהִלָּחֵם בִּירוּשָׁלִָם וְלַעֲשׂוֹת לוֹ תּוֹעָה

 4:8 waYiq'sh'rû khuLäm yach'Däw lävô l'hiLächëm Biyrûshäläim w'laásôt lô Tôäh

וַנִּתְפַּלֵּל אֶל־אֱלֹהֵינוּ וַנַּעֲמִיד מִשְׁמָר עֲלֵיהֶם יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה מִפְּנֵיהֶם

 4:9 waNit'PaLël el-élohëynû waNaámiyd mish'mär álëyhem yômäm wälay'läh miP'nëyhem

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוּדָה כָּשַׁל כֹּחַ הַסַּבָּל וְהֶעָפָר הַרְבֵּה וַאֲנַחְנוּ לֹא נוּכַל לִבְנוֹת בַּחוֹמָה

 4:10 waYomer y'hûdäh Käshal Koªch haŠaBäl w'heäfär har'Bëh waánach'nû lo nûkhal liv'nôt Bachômäh

 4:10 And Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה 3063 said, 559 z8799 The strength 3581 of the bearers of burdens 5449 is decayed, 3782 z8804 and [there is] much 7235 z8687 rubbish; 6083 so that we x587 are not x3808 able 3201 z8799 to build 1129 z8800 the wall. 2346

וַיֹּאמְרוּ צָרֵינוּ לֹא יֵדְעוּ וְלֹא יִרְאוּ עַד אֲשֶׁר־נָבוֹא אֶל־תּוֹכָם וַהֲרַגְנוּם וְהִשְׁבַּתְנוּ אֶת־הַמְּלָאכָה

 4:11 waYom'rû tzärëynû lo yëd'û w'lo yir'û ad ásher-nävô el-Tôkhäm wahárag'nûm w'hish'Bat'nû et-haM'läkhäh

וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר־בָּאוּ הַיְּהוּדִים הַיֹּשְׁבִים אֶצְלָם וַיֹּאמְרוּ לָנוּ עֶשֶׂר פְּעָמִים מִכָּל־הַמְּקֹמוֹת אֲשֶׁר־תָּשׁוּבוּ עָלֵינוּ

 4:12 way'hiy Kaásher-Bäû haY'hûdiym haYosh'viym etz'läm waYom'rû länû eser P'ämiym miKäl-haM'qomôt ásher-Täshûvû älëynû

 4:12 And it came to pass, x1961 that when x834 the Yæhûđîm יְהוּדִים 3064 which dwelt 3427 z8802 by x681 them y681 came, 935 z8804 they said 559 z8799 unto us ten 6235 times, 6471 From all x4480 x3605 places 4725 whence x834 ye shall return 7725 z8799 unto x5921 us [they will be upon you].

וָאַעֲמִיד מִתַּחְתִּיּוֹת לַמָּקוֹם מֵאַחֲרֵי לַחוֹמָה *בַּצְּחִחִיִּים [בַּצְּחִיחִים] וָאַעֲמִיד אֶת־הָעָם לְמִשְׁפָּחוֹת עִם־חַרְבֹתֵיהֶם רָמְחֵיהֶם וְקַשְּׁתֹתֵיהֶם

 4:13 wäaámiyd miTach'TiYôt laMäqôm mëachárëy lachômäh *BaTZ'chichiYiym [BaTZ'chiychiym] wäaámiyd et-hääm l'mish'Pächôt im-char'votëyhem räm'chëyhem w'qaSH'totëyhem

 4:13 ¶ Therefore set 5975 z8686 I in the lower 8482 x4480 places 4725 behind 310 x4480 the wall, 2346 [and] on the higher places, 6706 z8675 y6708 I even set 5975 z8686 x853 the people 5971 after their families 4940 with x5973 their swords, 2719 their spears, 7420 and their bows. 7198

וָאֵרֶא וָאָקוּם וָאֹמַר אֶל־הַחֹרִים וְאֶל־הַסְּגָנִים וְאֶל־יֶתֶר הָעָם אַל־תִּירְאוּ מִפְּנֵיהֶם אֶת־אֲדֹנָי הַגָּדוֹל וְהַנּוֹרָא זְכֹרוּ וְהִלָּחֲמוּ עַל־אֲחֵיכֶם בְּנֵיכֶם וּבְנֹתֵיכֶם נְשֵׁיכֶם וּבָתֵּיכֶם פ

 4:14 wäëre wääqûm wäomar el-hachoriym w'el-haŠ'gäniym w'el-yeter hääm al-Tiyr'û miP'nëyhem et-ádonäy haGädôl w'haNôrä z'khorû w'hiLächámû al-áchëykhem B'nëykhem ûv'notëykhem n'shëykhem ûväTëykhem f

וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר־שָׁמְעוּ אוֹיְבֵינוּ כִּי־נוֹדַע לָנוּ וַיָּפֶר הָאֱלֹהִים אֶת־עֲצָתָם *וַנָּשׁוּב [וַנָּשָׁב] כֻּלָּנוּ אֶל־הַחוֹמָה אִישׁ אֶל־מְלַאכְתּוֹ

 4:15 way'hiy Kaásher-shäm'û ôy'vëynû Kiy-nôda länû waYäfer häélohiym et-átzätäm *waNäshûv [waNäshäv] KuLänû el-hachômäh iysh el-m'lakh'Tô

וַיְהִי מִן־הַיּוֹם הַהוּא חֲצִי נְעָרַי עֹשִׂים בַּמְּלָאכָה וְחֶצְיָם מַחֲזִיקִים וְהָרְמָחִים הַמָּגִנִּים וְהַקְּשָׁתוֹת וְהַשִּׁרְיֹנִים וְהַשָּׂרִים אַחֲרֵי כָּל־בֵּית יְהוּדָה

 4:16 way'hiy min-haYôm hahû chátziy n'äray osiym BaM'läkhäh w'chetz'yäm macháziyqiym w'här'mächiym haMägiNiym w'haQ'shätôt w'haSHir'yoniym w'haSäriym achárëy Käl-Bëyt y'hûdäh

 4:16 And it came to pass x1961 from x4480 that x1931 time 3117 forth, [that] the half 2677 of my servants 5288 wrought 6213 z8802 in the work, 4399 and the other half 2677 of them held 2388 z8688 both the spears, 7420 the shields, 4043 and the bows, 7198 and the habergeons; 8302 and the rulers 8269 [were] behind 310 all x3605 the house 1004 of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה. 3063

הַבּוֹנִים בַּחוֹמָה וְהַנֹּשְׂאִים בַּסֶּבֶל עֹמְשִׂים בְּאַחַת יָדוֹ עֹשֶׂה בַמְּלָאכָה וְאַחַת מַחֲזֶקֶת הַשָּׁלַח

 4:17 haBôniym Bachômäh w'haNos'iym BaŠevel om'siym B'achat yädô oseh vaM'läkhäh w'achat macházeqet haSHälach

 4:17 They which builded 1129 z8802 on the wall, 2346 and they that bare 5375 z8802 burdens, 5447 with those that laded, 6006 z8802 [every one] with one 259 of his hands 3027 wrought 6213 z8802 in the work, 4399 and with the other 259 [hand] held 2388 z8688 a weapon. 7973

וְהַבּוֹנִים אִישׁ חַרְבּוֹ אֲסוּרִים עַל־מָתְנָיו וּבוֹנִים וְהַתּוֹקֵעַ בַּשּׁוֹפָר אֶצְלִי

וָאֹמַר אֶל־הַחֹרִים וְאֶל־הַסְּגָנִים וְאֶל־יֶתֶר הָעָם הַמְּלָאכָה הַרְבֵּה וּרְחָבָה וַאֲנַחְנוּ נִפְרָדִים עַל־הַחוֹמָה רְחוֹקִים אִישׁ מֵאָחִיו

 4:19 wäomar el-hachoriym w'el-haŠ'gäniym w'el-yeter hääm haM'läkhäh har'Bëh ûr'chäväh waánach'nû nif'rädiym al-hachômäh r'chôqiym iysh mëächiyw

 4:19 ¶ And I said 559 z8799 unto x413 the nobles, 2715 and to x413 the rulers, 5461 and to x413 the rest 3499 of the people, 5971 The work 4399 [is] great 7235 z8687 and large, 7342 and we x587 are separated 6504 z8737 upon x5921 the wall, 2346 one 376 far x7350 from y7350 another. 251 x4480

בִּמְקוֹם אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁמְעוּ אֶת־קוֹל הַשּׁוֹפָר שָׁמָּה תִּקָּבְצוּ אֵלֵינוּ אֱלֹהֵינוּ יִלָּחֶם לָנוּ

 4:20 Bim'qôm ásher Tish'm'û et-qôl haSHôfär shäMäh TiQäv'tzû ëlëynû élohëynû yiLächem länû

וַאֲנַחְנוּ עֹשִׂים בַּמְּלָאכָה וְחֶצְיָם מַחֲזִיקִים בָּרְמָחִים מֵעֲלוֹת הַשַּׁחַר עַד צֵאת הַכּוֹכָבִים

גַּם בָּעֵת הַהִיא אָמַרְתִּי לָעָם אִישׁ וְנַעֲרוֹ יָלִינוּ בְּתוֹךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָם וְהָיוּ־לָנוּ הַלַּיְלָה מִשְׁמָר וְהַיּוֹם מְלָאכָה
