וַיֹּאמֶר לִי הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־מַה־זֶּה אַתָּה מְבַקֵּשׁ וָאֶתְפַּלֵּל אֶל־אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמָיִם

וָאֹמַר לַמֶּלֶךְ אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טוֹב וְאִם־יִיטַב עַבְדְּךָ לְפָנֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁלָחֵנִי אֶל־יְהוּדָה אֶל־עִיר קִבְרוֹת אֲבֹתַי וְאֶבְנֶנָּה

וַיֹּאמֶר לִי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַשֵּׁגַל יוֹשֶׁבֶת אֶצְלוֹ עַד־מָתַי יִהְיֶה מַהֲלָכֲךָ וּמָתַי תָּשׁוּב וַיִּיטַב לִפְנֵי־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלָחֵנִי וָאֶתְּנָה לוֹ זְמָן

וָאָבוֹא אֶל־פַּחֲווֹת עֵבֶר הַנָּהָר וָאֶתְּנָה לָהֶם אֵת אִגְּרוֹת הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַח עִמִּי הַמֶּלֶךְ שָׂרֵי חַיִל וּפָרָשִׁים פ

וָאָבוֹא אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם וָאֱהִי־שָׁם יָמִים שְׁלֹשָׁה

וָאֵצְאָה בְשַׁעַר־הַגַּיא לַיְלָה וְאֶל־פְּנֵי עֵין הַתַּנִּין וְאֶל־שַׁעַר הָאַשְׁפֹּת וָאֱהִי שֹׂבֵר בְּחוֹמֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֲשֶׁר־*הַמְפֹרוָצִים [הֵם פְּרוּצִים] וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ אֻכְּלוּ בָאֵשׁ

וָאֶעֱבֹר אֶל־שַׁעַר הָעַיִן וְאֶל־בְּרֵכַת הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאֵין־מָקוֹם לַבְּהֵמָה לַעֲבֹר תַּחְתָּי

 2:14 wäeévor el-shaar häayin w'el-B'rëkhat haMelekh' w'ëyn-mäqôm laB'hëmäh laávor Tach'Täy

וְהַסְּגָנִים לֹא יָדְעוּ אָנָה הָלַכְתִּי וּמָה אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה וְלַיְּהוּדִים וְלַכֹּהֲנִים וְלַחֹרִים וְלַסְּגָנִים וּלְיֶתֶר עֹשֵׂה הַמְּלָאכָה עַד־כֵּן לֹא הִגַּדְתִּי

וָאוֹמַר אֲלֵהֶם אַתֶּם רֹאִים הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר אֲנַחְנוּ בָהּ אֲשֶׁר יְרוּשָׁלִַם חֲרֵבָה וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ נִצְּתוּ בָאֵשׁ לְכוּ וְנִבְנֶה אֶת־חוֹמַת יְרוּשָׁלִַם וְלֹא־נִהְיֶה עוֹד חֶרְפָּה

 2:17 ¶ Then said 559 z8799 I unto x413 them, Ye x859 see 7200 z8802 the distress 7451 that x834 we x587 [are] in, how x834 Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם 3389 [lieth] waste, 2720 and the gates 8179 thereof are burned 3341 z8738 with fire: 784 come, y3212 z8798 x1980 and let us build up 1129 z8799 x853 the wall 2346 of Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם, 3389 that we be x1961 no x3808 more x5750 a reproach. 2781

וָאַגִּיד לָהֶם אֶת־יַד אֱלֹהַי אֲשֶׁר־הִיא טוֹבָה עָלַי וְאַף־דִּבְרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר אָמַר־לִי וַיֹּאמְרוּ נָקוּם וּבָנִינוּ וַיְחַזְּקוּ יְדֵיהֶם לַטּוֹבָה פ

וַיִּשְׁמַע סַנְבַלַּט הַחֹרֹנִי וְטֹבִיָּה הָעֶבֶד הָעַמּוֹנִי וְגֶשֶׁם הָעַרְבִי וַיַּלְעִגוּ לָנוּ וַיִּבְזוּ עָלֵינוּ וַיֹּאמְרוּ מָה־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם עֹשִׂים הַעַל הַמֶּלֶךְ אַתֶּם מֹרְדִים

 2:19 waYish'ma šan'vaLaţ hachoroniy w'ţoviYäh häeved häaMôniy w'geshem häar'viy waYal'igû länû waYiv'zû älëynû waYom'rû mäh-haDävär haZeh ásher aTem osiym haal haMelekh' aTem mor'diym

 2:19 But when Sanvallaţ סַנבַלַּט 5571 the Çörönî חֹרֹנִי, 2772 and Ţôviyyà טוֹבִיָּה 2900 the servant, 5650 the `Ammônî עַמּוֹנִי, 5984 and Gešem גֶּשֶׁם 1654 the `Árävî עֲרָבִי, 6163 heard 8085 z8799 [it], they laughed us to scorn, 3932 z8686 and despised 959 z8799 x5921 us, and said, 559 z8799 What x4100 [is] this x2088 thing 1697 that x834 ye x859 do? 6213 z8802 will ye x859 rebel 4775 z8802 against x5921 the king? 4428

וָאָשִׁיב אוֹתָם דָּבָר וָאוֹמַר לָהֶם אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם הוּא יַצְלִיחַ לָנוּ וַאֲנַחְנוּ עֲבָדָיו נָקוּם וּבָנִינוּ וְלָכֶם אֵין־חֵלֶק וּצְדָקָה וְזִכָּרוֹן בִּירוּשָׁלִָם

 2:20 wääshiyv ôtäm Dävär wäômar lähem élohëy haSHämayim hû yatz'liyªch länû waánach'nû ávädäyw näqûm ûväniynû w'läkhem ëyn-chëleq ûtz'däqäh w'ziKärôn Biyrûshäläim
