Mark 3

1 Christ healeth the withered hand, 10 and many other infirmities: 11 rebuketh the unclean spirits: 13 chooseth his twelve Apostles: 22 convinceth the blasphemy of casting out devils by Beelzebub: 31 and sheweth who are his brother, sister, and mother.

 3:1 He entered 1525 again 3825 into a synagogue 4864; and a man 444 was there 1563 whose hand 5495 was withered 3583.

 3:2 They were watching 3906 Him [to see] if 1487 He would heal 2323 him on the Sabbath 4521, so 2443 that they might accuse 2723 Him.

 3:3 He *said 3004 to the man 444 with the withered 3584 hand 5495, “Get 1453 up and come forward 1519 3319!”

 3:4 And He *said 3004 to them, “Is it lawful 1832 to do 4160 good 18 or 2228 to do 2554 harm 2554 on the Sabbath 4521, to save 4982 a life 5590 or 2228 to kill 615?” But they kept 4623 silent 4623.

 3:5 After looking 4017 around 4017 at them with anger 3709, grieved 4818 at their hardness 4457 of heart 2588, He *said 3004 to the man 444, “Stretch 1614 out your hand 5495.” And he stretched 1614 it out, and his hand 5495 was restored 600.

 3:6 The Pharisees 5330 went 1831 out and immediately 2117 [began] conspiring 4824 with the Herodians 2265 against 2596 Him, [as to] how 3704 they might destroy 622 Him.

 3:7 ¶ Jesus 2424 withdrew 402 to the sea 2281 with His disciples 3101; and a great 4183 multitude 4128 from Galilee 1056 followed 190; and [also] from Judea 2453,

 3:8 and from Jerusalem 2414, and from Idumea 2401, and beyond 4008 the Jordan 2446, and the vicinity 4012 of Tyre 5184 and Sidon 4605, a great 4183 number 4128 of people 4128 heard 191 of all 3745 that He was doing 4160 and came 2064 to Him.

 3:9 And He told 3004 His disciples 3101 that a boat 4142 should stand 4342 ready 4342 for Him because 1223 of the crowd 3793, so 2443 that they would not crowd 2346 Him;

 3:10 for He had healed 2323 many 4183, with the result 5620 that all 3745 those who 3745 had 2192 afflictions 3148 pressed 1968 around 1968 Him in order 2443 to touch 681 Him.

 3:11 Whenever 3752 the unclean 169 spirits 4151 saw 2334 Him, they would fall 4363 down 4363 before 4363 Him and shout 2896, “You are the Son 5207 of God 2316!”

 3:12 And He earnestly 4183 warned 2008 them not to tell 5318 who 846 He was.

 3:13 ¶ And He *went 305 up on the mountain 3735 and *summoned 4341 those whom 3739 He Himself 846 wanted 2309, and they came 565 to Him.

 3:14 And He appointed 4160 twelve 1427, so 2443 that they would be with Him and that He [could] send 649 them out to preach 2784,

 3:15 and to have 2192 authority 1849 to cast 1544b out the demons 1140.

 3:16 And He appointed 4160 the twelve 1427: Simon 4613 (to whom He gave 2007 the name 3686 Peter 4074),

 3:17 and James 2385, the [son] of Zebedee 2199, and John 2491 the brother 80 of James 2385 (to them He gave 2007 the name 3686 Boanerges 993, which 3739 means 1510, “Sons 5207 of Thunder 1027”);

 3:18 and Andrew 406, and Philip 5376, and Bartholomew 918, and Matthew 3102b, and Thomas 2381, and James 2385 the son of Alphaeus 256b, and Thaddaeus 2280b, and Simon 4613 the Zealot 2581;

 3:19 and Judas 2455 Iscariot 2469, who 3739 betrayed 3860 Him.

 3:20 ¶ And He *came 2064 home 3624, and the crowd 3793 *gathered 4905 again 3825, to such 5620 an extent 5620 that they could 1410 not even 3366 eat 2068 a meal 740.

 3:21 When His own people heard 191 [of this], they went 1831 out to take 2902 custody 2902 of Him; for they were saying 3004, “He has lost 1839 His senses 1839.”

 3:22 The scribes 1122 who came 2597 down 2597 from Jerusalem 2414 were saying 3004, “He is possessed 2192 by Beelzebul 954,” and “He casts 1544b out the demons 1140 by the ruler 758 of the demons 1140.”

 3:23 And He called 4341 them to Himself and began speaking 3004 to them in parables 3850b, “How 4459 can 1410 Satan 4567 cast 1544b out Satan 4567?

 3:24 “If 1437 a kingdom 932 is divided 3307 against 1909 itself 1438, that kingdom 932 cannot 1410 3756 stand 2476.

 3:25 “If 1437 a house 3614 is divided 3307 against 1909 itself 1438, that house 3614 will not be able 1410 to stand 2476.

 3:26 “If 1487 Satan 4567 has risen 450 up against 1909 himself 1438 and is divided 3307, he cannot 1410 3756 stand 2476, but he is finished 5056!

 3:27 “But no 3762 one 3762 can 1410 enter 1525 the strong 2478 man’s 2478 house 3614 and plunder 1283 his property 4632 unless 1437 3361 he first 4413 binds 1210 the strong 2478 man 2478, and then 5119 he will plunder 1283 his house 3614.

 3:28 ¶ “Truly 281 I say 3004 to you, all 3956 sins 265 shall be forgiven 863 the sons 5207 of men 444, and whatever 3745 1437 blasphemies 988 they utter 987;

 3:29 but whoever 3739 302 blasphemes 987 against 1519 the Holy 40 Spirit 4151 never 3756 1519 165 has 2192 forgiveness 859, but is guilty 1777 of an eternal 166 sin 265”—

 3:30 because 3754 they were saying 3004, “He has 2192 an unclean 169 spirit 4151.”

 3:31 ¶ Then 2532 His mother 3384 and His brothers 80 *arrived 2064, and standing 4739 outside 1854 they sent 649 [word] to Him and called 2564 Him.

 3:32 A crowd 3793 was sitting 2521 around 4012 Him, and they *said 3004 to Him, “Behold 2400, Your mother 3384 and Your brothers 80 are outside 1854 looking 2212 for You.”

 3:33 Answering 611 them, He *said 3004, “Who 5101 are My mother 3384 and My brothers 80?”

 3:34 Looking 4017 about 4017 at those 3588 who were sitting 2521 around 4012 2945 Him, He *said 3004, “Behold 2396 My mother 3384 and My brothers 80!

 3:35 “For whoever 3739 302 does 4160 the will 2307 of God 2316, he is My brother 80 and sister 79 and mother 3384.”
