Acts 12
1 King Herod persecuteth the Christians, killeth James, and imprisoneth Peter: whom an angel delivereth upon the prayers of the Church. 20 In his pride taking to himself the honour due to God, he is stricken by an angel, and dieth miserably. 24 After his death, the Word of God prospereth.

Now 1161 about 2596 that time 2540 Herod 2264 the king 935 laid 1911 hands 5495 on some 5100 who 3588 belonged 575 to the church 1577 in order to mistreat 2559 them.
12:2
And he had James 2385 the brother 80 of John 2491 put 337 to death 337 with a sword 3162.

When he saw 3708 that it pleased 701 the Jews 2453, he proceeded 4369 to arrest 4815 Peter 4074 also 2532. Now 1161 it was during the days 2250 of Unleavened 106 Bread.

When he had seized 4084 him, he put 5087 him in prison 5438, delivering 3860 him to four 5064 squads 5069 of soldiers 4757 to guard 5442 him, intending 1014 after 3326 the Passover 3957 to bring 321 him out before the people 2992.

So 3767 Peter 4074 was kept 5083 in the prison 5438, but prayer 4335 for him was being 1096 made 1096 fervently 1619 by the church 1577 to God 2316.

¶ On the very 1565 night 3571 when 3753 Herod 2264 was about 3195 to bring 4254 him forward 4254, Peter 4074 was sleeping 2837 between 3342 two 1417 soldiers 4757, bound 1210 with two 1417 chains 254, and guards 5441 in front 4253 of the door 2374 were watching 5083 over 5083 the prison 5438.

And behold 2400, an angel 32a of the Lord 2962 suddenly appeared 2186 and a light 5457 shone 2989 in the cell 3612; and he struck 3960 Peter’s 4074 side 4125 and woke 1453 him up, saying 3004, “Get 450 up quickly 5034.” And his chains 254 fell 1601b off 1601b his hands 5495.

And the angel 32a said 3004 to him, “Gird 2224 yourself and put 5265 on your sandals 4547.” And he did 4160 so 3779. And he *said 3004 to him, “Wrap 4016 your cloak 2440 around 4016 you and follow 190 me.”

And he went 1831 out and continued to follow 190, and he did not know 3609a that what was being 1096 done 1096 by the angel 32a was real 227, but thought 1380 he was seeing 991 a vision 3705.
12:10
When they had passed 1330 the first 4413 and second 1208 guard 5438, they came 2064 to the iron 4603 gate 4439 that leads 5342 into the city 4172, which 3748 opened 455 for them by itself 844; and they went 1831 out and went 4281 along 4281 one 1520 street 4505, and immediately 2112 the angel 32a departed 868 from him.

When Peter 4074 came 1096 to himself 1438, he said 3004, “Now 3568 I know 3609a for sure 230 that the Lord 2962 has sent 1821 forth 1821 His angel 32a and rescued 1807 me from the hand 5495 of Herod 2264 and from all 3956 that the Jewish 2453 people 2992 were expecting 4329.”

And when he realized 4894 [this], he went 2064 to the house 3614 of Mary 3137, the mother 3384 of John 2491 who was also called 1941 Mark 3138, where 3757 many 2425 were gathered 4867 together 4867 and were praying 4336.

When he knocked 2925 at the door 2374 of the gate 4440, a servant-girl 3814 named 3686 Rhoda 4498 came 4334 to answer 5219.

When she recognized 1921 Peter’s 4074 voice 5456, because 575 of her joy 5479 she did not open 455 the gate 4440, but ran 1532 in and announced 518 that Peter 4074 was standing 2476 in front 4253 of the gate 4440.

They said 3004 to her, “You are out of your mind 3105!” But she kept insisting 1340 that it was so 3779. They kept saying 3004, “It is his angel 32a.”

But Peter 4074 continued 1961 knocking 2925; and when they had opened 455 [the door], they saw 3708 him and were amazed 1839.

But motioning 2678 to them with his hand 5495 to be silent 4601, he described 1334 to them how 4459 the Lord 2962 had led 1806 him out of the prison 5438. And he said 3004, “Report 518 these 3778 things 3778 to James 2385 and the brethren 80.” Then 2532 he left 1831 and went 4198 to another 2087 place 5117.

¶ Now 1161 when day 2250 came 1096, there was no 3756 small 3641 disturbance 5017 among 1722 the soldiers 4757 [as to] what 5101 could have become 1096 of Peter 4074.
12:19
When Herod 2264 had searched 1934 for him and had not found 2147 him, he examined 350 the guards 5441 and ordered 2753 that they be led 520 away 520 [to execution]. Then 1161 he went 2718 down 2718 from Judea 2453 to Caesarea 2542 and was spending 1304 time 1304 there.

¶ Now 1161 he was very 2371 angry 2371 with the people of Tyre 5183 and Sidon 4606; and with one 3661 accord 3661 they came 3918b to him, and having won 3982 over 3982 Blastus 986 the king’s 935 chamberlain 1909 2846, they were asking 154 for peace 1515, because 1223 their country 5561 was fed 5142 by the king’s 937 country.
12:21
On an appointed 5002 day 2250 Herod 2264, having put 1746a on his royal 937 apparel 2066, took 2523 his seat 2523 on the rostrum 968 and [began] delivering 1215 an address 1215 to them.

The people 1218 kept crying 2019 out, “The voice 5456 of a god 2316 and not of a man 444!”
12:23
And immediately 3916 an angel 32a of the Lord 2962 struck 3960 him because 473 3739 he did not give 1325 God 2316 the glory 1391, and he was eaten 4662 by worms 4662 and died 1634.
12:24
¶ But the word 3056 of the Lord 2962 continued to grow 837 and to be multiplied 4129.
12:25
¶ And Barnabas 921 and Saul 4569 returned 5290 from Jerusalem 2419 when they had fulfilled 4137 their mission 1248, taking 4838 along 4838 with [them] John 2491, who was also called 1941 Mark 3138.
