In the third°

when the children°

יִשׂרָאֵל°
were gone forth°°
out of the land°°
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,°
the same°
day°
came°°
they [into] the wilderness°
of
Sînay
סִינַי.° |

19:1 ¶
In the third month, when the children of Yisrael were gone forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, the same day came they [into] the wilderness of Sinay. |
|
19:2
For they were departed°°
from
Ræfîđîm
רְפִידִים,°°
and were come°°
[to] the desert°
of
Sînay
סִינַי,°
and had pitched°°
in the wilderness;°
and there°
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
camped°°
before°
the mount.° |

19:2
For they were departed from Refidim, and were come [to] the desert of Sinay, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Yisrael camped before the mount. |
|
19:3
And
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
went up°°
unto°
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
and
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
called°°
unto°
him out of°
the mountain,°
saying,°°
Thus°
shalt thou say°°
to the house°
of
Ya`áköv
יַעֲקֹב,°
and tell°°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;° |

19:3
And Mosheh went up unto Elohim, and Yahweh called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Yaaqov, and tell the children of Yisrael; |

Ye°
have seen°°
what°
I did°°
unto the
Mixrîm
מִצרִים,°
and [how] I bare°°
you on°
eagles'°
wings,°
and brought°°
you unto°
myself. |
|
19:4
Ye have seen what I did unto the Mitzrim, and [how] I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. |
|
19:5
Now°
therefore, if°
ye will obey°°
my voice°
indeed,°°°
and keep°°°
my covenant,°
then ye shall be°
a peculiar treasure°
unto me above all°°
people:°
for°
all°
the earth°
[is] mine: |

19:5
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: |

19:6
And ye°
shall be°
unto me a kingdom°
of priests,°
and an holy°
nation.°
These°
[are] the words°
which°
thou shalt speak°°
unto°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

19:6
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Yisrael. |

19:7 ¶
And

מֹשֶׁה°
came°°
and called°°
for the elders°
of the people,°
and laid°°
before their faces°°
all°
these°
words°
which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
commanded°°
him. |

19:7 ¶
And Mosheh came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which Yahweh commanded him. |
|
19:8
And all°
the people°
answered°°
together,°
and said,°°
All°
that°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
hath spoken°°
we will do.°°
And
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
returned°°°
the words°
of the people°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

19:8
And all the people answered together, and said, All that Yahweh hath spoken we will do. And Mosheh returned the words of the people unto Yahweh. |

19:9
And
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
said°°
unto°
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה,°
Lo,°
I°
come°°
unto°
thee in a thick°
cloud,°
that°
the people°
may hear°°
when I speak°°
with°
thee, and believe°°
thee for ever.°
And
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
told°°°
the words°
of the people°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

19:9
And Yahweh said unto Mosheh, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Mosheh told the words of the people unto Yahweh. |
|
19:10 ¶
And

Möšè
מֹשֶׁה,°
Go°°°
unto°
the people,°
and sanctify°°
them to day°
and to morrow,°
and let them wash°°
their clothes,° |

19:10 ¶
And Yahweh said unto Mosheh, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, |
|
19:11
And be°
ready°°
against the third°
day:°
for°
the third°
day°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
will come down°°
in the sight°
of all°
the people°
upon°
mount°
Sînay
סִינַי.° |
|
19:11
And be ready against the third day: for the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinay. |
|
19:12
And thou shalt set bounds°°°
unto the people°
round about,°
saying,°°
Take heed°°
to yourselves, [that ye] go [not] up°°
into the mount,°
or touch°°
the border°
of it: whosoever°
toucheth°°
the mount°
shall be surely°°
put to death:°° |

19:12
And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, [that ye] go [not] up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: |
|
19:13
There shall not°
an hand°
touch°°
it, but°
he shall surely°°
be stoned,°°
or°
shot°°
through;°°
whether°
[it be] beast°
or°
man,°
it shall not°
live:°°
when the trumpet°
soundeth long,°°
they°
shall come up°°
to the mount.° |

There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether [it be] beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. |
|
19:14 ¶
And

went down°°
from°
the mount°
unto°
the people,°
and sanctified°°°
the people;°
and they washed°°
their clothes.° |

19:14 ¶
And Mosheh went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. |
|
19:15
And he said°°
unto°
the people,°
Be°°
ready°°
against the third°
day:°
come°°
not°
at°
[your] wives.° |
|
19:15
And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at [your] wives. |
|
19:16 ¶
And it came to pass°
on the third°
day°
in the morning,°
that there were°
thunders°
and lightnings,°
and a thick°
cloud°
upon°
the mount,°
and the voice°
of the trumpet°
exceeding°
loud;°
so that all°
the people°
that°
[was] in the camp°
trembled.°° |

19:16 ¶
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that [was] in the camp trembled. |

19:17
And

brought forth°°°
the people°
out of°
the camp°
to meet°°
with
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים;°
and they stood°°
at the nether°
part°
of the mount.° |

19:17
And Mosheh brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with Elohim; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. |
|
19:18
And mount°
Sînay
סִינַי°
was altogether°
on a smoke,°°
because°°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
descended°°
upon°
it in fire:°
and the smoke°
thereof ascended°°
as the smoke°
of a furnace,°
and the whole°
mount°
quaked°°
greatly.° |

And mount Sinay was altogether on a smoke, because Yahweh descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. |

19:19
And when°
the voice°
of the trumpet°
sounded°
long,°°
and waxed louder°
and louder,°°

מֹשֶׁה°
spake,°°
and
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
answered°°
him by a voice.° |

And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Mosheh spake, and Elohim answered him by a voice. |

19:20
And
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
came down°°
upon°
mount°
Sînay
סִינַי,°
on°
the top°
of the mount:°
and
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
called°°
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
[up] to°
the top°
of the mount;°
and
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
went up.°° |

19:20
And Yahweh came down upon mount Sinay, on the top of the mount: and Yahweh called Mosheh [up] to the top of the mount; and Mosheh went up. |
|
19:21
And
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
said°°
unto°
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה,°
Go down,°°
charge°°
the people,°
lest°
they break through°°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
to gaze,°°
and many°
of°
them perish.°° |

19:21
And Yahweh said unto Mosheh, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto Yahweh to gaze, and many of them perish. |
|
19:22
And let the priests°
also,°
which come near°°
to°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
sanctify°°
themselves,°
lest°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
break forth°°
upon them. |
|
19:22
And let the priests also, which come near to Yahweh, sanctify themselves, lest Yahweh break forth upon them. |
|
19:23
And
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
said°°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
The people°
cannot°°°
come up°°
to°
mount°
Sînay
סִינַי:°
for°
thou°
chargedst°°
us, saying,°°
Set bounds°°°
about the mount,°
and sanctify°°
it. |

And Mosheh said unto Yahweh, The people cannot come up to mount Sinay: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it. |

19:24
And

יָהוֶה°

him, Away,°°°
get thee down,°°
and thou shalt come up,°°
thou,°
and
´Ahárön
אַהֲרֹן°
with°
thee: but let not°
the priests°
and the people°
break through°°
to come up°°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
lest°
he break forth°°
upon them. |

19:24
And Yahweh said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aharon with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto Yahweh, lest he break forth upon them. |

19:25

went down°°
unto°
the people,°
and spake°°
unto°
them. |

So Mosheh went down unto the people, and spake unto them. |
