he was pleased°°
to do,°° |

9:1 ¶
And it came to pass, when Shelomoh had finished the building of the house of Yahweh, and the king's house, and all Shelomoh's desire which he was pleased to do, |

9:2
That
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
appeared°°
to°
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹה°
the second time,°
as°
he had appeared°°
unto°
him at
Giv`ôn
גִּבעוֹן.° |

9:2
That Yahweh appeared to Shelomoh the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Givon. |

9:3
And
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
said°°
unto°
him, I have heard°°°
thy prayer°
and thy supplication,°
that°
thou hast made°°°
before°
me: I have hallowed°°°
this°
house,°
which°
thou hast built,°°
to put°°
my name°
there°
for°
ever;°°
and mine eyes°
and mine heart°
shall be°
there°
perpetually.°° |

And Yahweh said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. |

And if°
thou°
wilt walk°°°
before°
me, as°

in integrity°
of heart,°
and in uprightness,°
to do°°
according to all°
that°
I have commanded°°
thee, [and] wilt keep°°
my statutes°

And if thou wilt walk before me, as Dawid thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, [and] wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: |

Then I will establish°°°
the throne°
of thy kingdom°
upon°
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
for ever,°
as°
I promised°°
to°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
thy father,°
saying,°°
There shall not°
fail°°
thee a man°
upon°°
the throne°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

9:5
Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Yisrael for ever, as I promised to Dawid thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Yisrael. |

[But] if°
ye shall at all°°
turn°°
from following°°
me, ye°
or your children,°
and will not°
keep°°
my commandments°
[and] my statutes°
which°
I have set°°
before°
you, but go°°
and serve°°
other°

אֱלֹהִים,°
and worship°°
them: |

[But] if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments [and] my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other elohim, and worship them: |

Then will I cut off°°°

יִשׂרָאֵל°
out°
of°°°
the land°
which°
I have given°°
them; and this house,°
which°
I have hallowed°°
for my name,°
will I cast°
out°°
of°°
my sight;°
and
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
shall be°
a proverb°
and a byword°
among all°
people:° |

Then will I cut off Yisrael out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Yisrael shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: |

And at this°
house,°
[which] is°
high,°
every one°
that passeth°°
by°
it shall be astonished,°°
and shall hiss;°°
and they shall say,°°
Why°
hath
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
done°°
thus°
unto this°
land,°
and to this°
house?° |

And at this house, [which] is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath Yahweh done thus unto this land, and to this house? |

9:9
And they shall answer,°°
Because°°
they forsook°°°

יָהוֶה°
their
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
who°
brought forth°°°
their fathers°
out of the land°°
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,°
and have taken hold°°
upon other°
´élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
and have worshipped°°
them, and served°°
them: therefore°°
hath
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
brought°°
upon°
them°
all°
this°
evil.° |

9:9
And they shall answer, Because they forsook Yahweh their Elohim, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Mitzrayim, and have taken hold upon other elohim, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath Yahweh brought upon them all this evil. |
|
9:10 ¶
And it came to pass°
at the end°°
of twenty°
years,°
when°
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹה°
had built°°°
the two°
houses,°°
the house°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
and the king's°
house,° |
|
9:10 ¶
And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Shelomoh had built the two houses, the house of Yahweh, and the king's house, |

([Now]

צוֹר°
had furnished°°°

שְׁלֹמֹה°
with cedar°
trees°
and fir°
trees,°
and with gold,°
according to all°
his desire,)°
that then°

gave°°
Çîräm
חִירָם°
twenty°
cities°
in the land°
of
Gälîlà
גָּלִילָה.° |

([Now] Chiram the king of Tzor had furnished Shelomoh with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Shelomoh gave Chiram twenty cities in the land of Galilah. |

to see°°°
the cities°
which°

שְׁלֹמֹה°
had given°°
him; and they pleased°°°
him not.° |

And Chiram came out from Tzor to see the cities which Shelomoh had given him; and they pleased him not. |

cities°
[are] these°
which°
thou hast given°°
me, my brother?°
And he called°°
them the land°

And he said, What cities [are] these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Kavul unto this day. |

And this [is] the reason of the levy which king Shelomoh raised; for to build the house of Yahweh, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Yerushalaim, and Chatzor, and Megiddo, and Gezer. |

[For] Paroh king of Mitzrayim had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Kenaanim that dwelt in the city, and given it [for] a present unto his daughter, Shelomoh's wife. |

for his chariots,°
and cities°
for his horsemen,°
and that°

שְׁלֹמֹה°
desired°°
to build°°

Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם,°

Lævänôn
לְבָנוֹן,°
and in all°
the land°
of his dominion.° |

And all the cities of store that Shelomoh had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Shelomoh desired to build in Yerushalaim, and in Levanon, and in all the land of his dominion. |

[And] all°
the people°
[that were] left°°

חִתִּים,°

[And] all the people [that were] left of the Emorim, Chittim, Perizzim, Chiwwim, and Yevusim, which [were] not of the children of Yisrael, |

Their children°
that°
were left°°
after°
them in the land,°
whom°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
also were not°
able°°
utterly to destroy,°°
upon those did
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹה°
levy°°
a tribute°
of bondservice°°°
unto°
this°
day.° |

Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Yisrael also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Shelomoh levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day. |

But of the children°°

did

שְׁלֹמֹה°
make°°
no°
bondmen:°
but°
they°
[were] men°°
of war,°
and his servants,°
and his princes,°
and his captains,°
and rulers°
of his chariots,°
and his horsemen.° |

But of the children of Yisrael did Shelomoh make no bondmen: but they [were] men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen. |

[were] the chief°
of the officers°°
that°
[were] over°
Šælömò's
שְׁלֹמֹה°
work,°
five°
hundred°
and fifty,°
which bare rule°°
over the people°
that wrought°°
in the work.° |

These [were] the chief of the officers that [were] over Shelomoh's work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work. |

9:24 ¶
But°
Par`ò's

came up°°
out of the city°°

unto°
her house°
which°

שְׁלֹמֹה] had built°°
for her: then°
did he build°°°

9:24 ¶
But Paroh's daughter came up out of the city of Dawid unto her house which [Shelomoh] had built for her: then did he build Millo. |

9:25 ¶
And three°
times°
in a year°
did

offer°°
burnt offerings°
and peace offerings°
upon°
the altar°
which°
he built°°
unto
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
and he burnt incense°°
upon°
the altar°
that°
[was] before°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.°
So he finished°°°
the house.° |

9:25 ¶
And three times in a year did Shelomoh offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto Yahweh, and he burnt incense upon the altar that [was] before Yahweh. So he finished the house. |
|
9:26 ¶
And king°

a navy of ships°
in
`Exyôn Gever
עֶציוֹן־גֶּבֶר,°
which°
[is] beside°
´Ëlôŧ
אֵלוֹת,°
on°
the shore°
of the
Sûf
סוּף°
sea,°
in the land°
of
´Éđôm
אֱדוֹם.° |

9:26 ¶
And king Shelomoh made a navy of ships in Etzyon-Gever, which [is] beside Eloth, on the shore of the Suf sea, in the land of Edom. |
|
9:27
And

in the navy°°
his servants,°
shipmen°°°
that had knowledge°°
of the sea,°
with°
the servants°
of
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹה.° |

And Chiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Shelomoh. |
|

And they came°°
to
´Ôfîr
אוֹפִיר,°
and fetched°°
from thence°°
gold,°
four°
hundred°
and twenty°
talents,°
and brought°°
[it] to°
king°

And they came to Ofir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought [it] to king Shelomoh. |
