5:1 ¶
And Chiram king of Tzor sent his servants unto Shelomoh; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Chiram was ever a lover of Dawid. |

And Shelomoh sent to Chiram, saying, |

יָהוֶה°

´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
for°°
the wars°
which°
were about him on every side,°°
until°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
put°°
them under°
the soles°
of his feet.° |

Thou knowest how that Dawid my father could not build an house unto the name of Yahweh his Elohim for the wars which were about him on every side, until Yahweh put them under the soles of his feet. |

5:4
But now°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
hath given me rest°°
on every side,°°
[so that there is] neither°
adversary°
nor°
evil°
occurrent.° |

But now Yahweh my Elohim hath given me rest on every side, [so that there is] neither adversary nor evil occurrent. |

5:5
And, behold,°
I purpose°°
to build°°
an house°
unto the name°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
as°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
spake°°
unto°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
my father,°
saying,°°
Thy son,°
whom°
I will set°°
upon°
thy throne°
in thy room,°
he°
shall build°°
an house°
unto my name.° |

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of Yahweh my Elohim, as Yahweh spake unto Dawid my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name. |

Now°
therefore command°°
thou that they hew°°
me cedar trees°
out of°
Lævänôn
לְבָנוֹן;°
and my servants°
shall be°
with°
thy servants:°
and unto thee will I give°°
hire°
for thy servants°
according to all°
that°
thou shalt appoint:°°
for°
thou°
knowest°°
that°
[there is] not°
among us any°
that can skill°°
to hew°°
timber°
like unto the
Xîđônîm
צִידוֹנִים.° |

5:6
Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Levanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that [there is] not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Tzidonim. |

5:7 ¶
And it came to pass,°

that he rejoiced°°
greatly,°
and said,°°
Blessed°°

יָהוֶה°
this day,°

hath given°°

over°
this°
great°

5:7 ¶
And it came to pass, when Chiram heard the words of Shelomoh, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed [be] Yahweh this day, which hath given unto Dawid a wise son over this great people. |
|
5:8
And

saying,°°
I have considered°°°
the things which°
thou sentest°°
to°
me for: [and] I°
will do°°°
all°
thy desire°
concerning timber°
of cedar,°
and concerning timber°

And Chiram sent to Shelomoh, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: [and] I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir. |

5:9
My servants°
shall bring [them] down°°
from°
Lævänôn
לְבָנוֹן°
unto the sea:°
and I°
will convey°°
them by sea°
in floats°
unto°
the place°
that°
thou shalt appoint°°°
me, and will cause them to be discharged°°
there,°
and thou°
shalt receive°°
[them]: and thou°
shalt accomplish°°°
my desire,°
in giving°°
food°
for my household.° |

My servants shall bring [them] down from Levanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive [them]: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household. |

5:10

And Shelomoh gave Chiram twenty thousand measures of wheat [for] food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Shelomoh to Chiram year by year. |

wisdom,°
as°
he promised°°
him: and there was°
peace°
between°

a league°

And Yahweh gave Shelomoh wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Chiram and Shelomoh; and they two made a league together. |

5:13 ¶
And king°

שְׁלֹמֹה°
raised°°
a levy°
out of all°°
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;°
and the levy°
was°
thirty°
thousand°
men.° |

5:13 ¶
And king Shelomoh raised a levy out of all Yisrael; and the levy was thirty thousand men. |

And he sent°°
them to

thousand°
a month°
by courses:°
a month°
they were°

[and] two°
months°
at home:°

And he sent them to Levanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Levanon, [and] two months at home: and Adoniram [was] over the levy. |

and fourscore°

in the mountains;° |
