 5:1 ¶
And Solomon brought in the holy things of his father David, the silver, and the gold, and the [other] vessels, and put them in the treasury of the house of the Lord. |
|
 5:1 ¶
Thus allº
the workº
thatº
Solomonº
madeºº
for the houseº
of Yahwehº
was finished:ºº
and Solomonº
broughtºº
inºº
[all] the thingsºº
that Davidº
his fatherº
had dedicated;º
and the silver,º
and the gold,º
and allº
the instruments,º
putºº
he among the treasuresº
of the houseº
of Elohim.º |
 5:2 ¶
Then Solomon assembled all the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, [even] the leaders of the families of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David,-- this [is] Zion{gr.Sion}. |
 5:2 ¶
Thenº
Solomonº
assembledººº
the eldersº
of Israel,º
and allº
the headsº
of the tribes,º
the chiefº
of the fathersº
of the childrenº
of Israel,º
untoº
Jerusalem,º
to bring upººº
the arkº
of the covenantº
of Yahwehº
out of the cityºº
of David,º
whichº
[is] Zion.º |
 5:3
And all Israel were assembled [unto] the king in the feast, this [is] the seventh month. |
 5:3
Wherefore allº
the menº
of Israelº
assembledºº
themselvesº
untoº
the kingº
in the feastº
whichº
[was] in the seventhº
month.º |
 5:4
And all the elders of Israel came; and all the Levites took up the ark, |
 5:4
And allº
the eldersº
of Israelº
came;ºº
and the Levitesº
took upººº
the ark.º |
 5:5
and the tabernacle of witness, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle; and the priests and the Levites brought it up. |
 5:5
And they brought upººº
the ark,º
and the tabernacleº
of the congregation,º
and allº
the holyº
vesselsº
thatº
[were] in the tabernacle,º
these did the priestsº
[and] the Levitesº
bring up.ºº |
 5:6
And king Solomon, and all the elders of Israel, and the religious of them, and they of them that were gathered before the ark, [were] sacrificing calves and sheep, which could not be numbered or reckoned for multitude. |
 5:6
Also kingº
Solomon,º
and allº
the congregationº
of Israelº
that were assembledºº
untoº
him beforeº
the ark,º
sacrificedºº
sheepº
and oxen,º
whichº
could notº
be toldºº
norº
numberedºº
for multitude.ºº |
 5:7
And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord into its place, into the oracle of the house, [even] into the holy of holies, under the wings of the cherubs. |
 5:7
And the priestsº
brought inººº
the arkº
of the covenantº
of Yahwehº
untoº
his place,º
toº
the oracleº
of the house,º
intoº
the mostº
holyº
[place, even] underºº
the wingsº
of the cherubims:º |
 5:8
And the cherubs stretched out their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubs covered the ark, and its staves above. |
 5:8
For the cherubimsº
spread forthººº
[their] wingsº
overº
the placeº
of the ark,º
and the cherubimsº
coveredººº
the arkº
and the stavesº
thereof above.ºº |
 5:9
And the staves projected, and the heads of the staves were seen from the holy place in front of the oracle, they were not seen without: and there they were to this day. |
 5:9
And they drew outºº
the stavesº
[of the ark], that the endsº
of the stavesº
were seenºº
fromº
the arkº
beforeºº
the oracle;º
but they were notº
seenºº
without.º
And thereº
it isº
untoº
thisº
day.º |
 5:10
There was nothing in the ark except the two tables which Mosheh{gr.Moses} placed [there] in Horeb{gr.Choreb}, which God gave in covenant with the children of Israel, when they went out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}. |
 5:10
[There was] nothingº
in the arkº
saveº
the twoº
tablesº
whichº
Mosesº
putºº
[therein] at Horeb,º
whenº
Yahwehº
madeºº
[a covenant] withº
the childrenº
of Israel,º
when they came outºº
of Egypt.ºº |
 5:11 ¶
And it came to pass, when the priests when out of the holy place, (for all the priests that were found were sanctified, they were not [then] arranged according to their daily course,) |
 5:11 ¶
And it came to pass,º
when the priestsº
were come outºº
ofº
the holyº
[place]: (forº
allº
the priestsº
[that were] presentºº
were sanctified,ºº
[and] did notº
[then] waitºº
by course:º |
 5:12
that all the singing Levites [assigned] to the sons of Asaph, to Heman{gr.Aeman}, to Jeduthun{gr.Idithun}, and to his sons, and to his brethren, of them that were clothed in linen garments, with cymbals and lutes and harps, [were] standing before the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests, blowing trumpets. |
 5:12
Also the Levitesº
[which were] the singers,ºº
allº
of them of Asaph,º
of Heman,º
of Jeduthun,º
with their sonsº
and their brethren,º
[being] arrayedºº
in white linen,º
having cymbalsº
and psalteriesº
and harps,º
stoodºº
at the east endº
of the altar,º
and withº
them an hundredº
and twentyº
priestsº
soundingºº
with trumpets:)º |
 5:13
And there was one voice in the trumpeting and in the psalm-singing, and in the loud utterance with one voice to give thanks and praise the Lord; and when they raised their voice together with trumpets and cymbals, and instruments of music, and said, Give thanks to the Lord, for [it is] good, for his mercy [endures] for ever:-- then the house was filled with the cloud of the glory of the Lord. |
 5:13
It came even to pass,º
as the trumpetersººº
and singersºº
[were] as one,º
to make oneº
soundº
to be heardºº
in praisingºº
and thankingºº
Yahweh;º
and when they lifted upºº
[their] voiceº
with the trumpetsº
and cymbalsº
and instrumentsº
of musick,º
and praisedºº
Yahweh,º
[saying], Forº
[he is] good;º
forº
his mercyº
[endureth] for ever:º
that [then] the houseº
was filledºº
with a cloud,º
[even] the houseº
of Yahweh;º |
 5:14
And the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God. |
 5:14
So that the priestsº
couldºº
notº
standºº
to ministerºº
by reasonº
ofºº
the cloud:º
forº
the gloryº
of Yahwehº
had filledººº
the houseº
of Elohim.º |
