And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of robbers that came against them, even the Arabians and the Alimazonians, had slain all the elder ones. So Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} son of Joram king of Judah{gr.Juda} reigned. |

Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} began to reign when he was twenty years old, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Athaliah{gr.Gotholia}, the daughter of Omri{gr.Ambri}. |

And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab{gr.Achaab}; for his mother was his counsellor to do evil. |

of Ahab:°

his mother°
was°
his counsellor°°
to do wickedly.°° |

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord as the house of Ahab{gr.Achaab} [had done]: for they were his counselors after the death of his father to his destruction. |

in the sight°
of Yahweh°
like the house°
of Ahab:°
for°
they°
were°
his counsellors°°
after°
the death°
of his father°
to his destruction.° |

22:5 ¶
And he walked in their counsels, and he went with Joram son of Ahab{gr.Achaab} king of Israel to war against Hazael{gr.Azael} king of Syria to Ramoth Gilead{gr.Galaad}: and the archers smote Joram. |

And Joram returned to Jezreel{gr.Jezrael} to be healed of the wounds wherewith the Syrians smote him in Ramoth, when he fought against Hazael{gr.Azael} king of Syria. And Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} son of Joram, king of Judah{gr.Juda}, went down to see Joram the son of Ahab{gr.Achaab} at Jezreel{gr.Jezrael} because he was sick. |

to be healed°°
in Jezreel°
because of°
the wounds°
which°
were given°°
him at Ramah,°
when he fought°°°
with Hazael°
king°
of Syria.°
And Azariah°
the son°
of Jehoram°
king°
of Judah°
went down°°
to see°°°
Jehoram°
the son°
of Ahab°
at Jezreel,°
because°
he°

And destruction from God came upon Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} in [his] coming to Joram; for when he had come, Joram went out with him against Jehu{gr.Jeu} the son of Namessei, the anointed of the Lord against the house of Ahab{gr.Achaab}. |

of Elohim°°
by coming°°
to°
Joram:°
for when he was come,°°
he went out°°
with°
Jehoram°
against°
Jehu°
the son°
of Nimshi,°
whom°
Yahweh°
had anointed°°
to cut off°°°
the house°
of Ahab.° |

And it came to pass, when Jehu{gr.Jeu} was taking vengeance on the house of Ahab{gr.Achaab}, that he found the princes of Judah{gr.Juda} and the brethren of Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} ministering to Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias}, and he slew them. |

And it came to pass,°
that, when Jehu°
was executing judgment°°
upon°
the house°
of Ahab,°
and found°°°
the princes°
of Judah,°
and the sons°
of the brethren°
of Ahaziah,°
that ministered°°
to Ahaziah,°
he slew°°
them. |

And he gave orders to seek Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias}: and they took him while he was healing his wounds in Samaria, and they brought him to Jehu{gr.Jeu}, and he slew him; and they buried him, for they said, He is the son of Jehoshaphat{gr.Josaphat}, who sought the Lord with all his heart. So there was none in the house of Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} to secure their power in the kingdom. |

him, (for he°
was hid°°
in Samaria,)°
and brought°°
him to°
Jehu:°
and when they had slain°°
him, they buried°°
him: Because,°

they, he°
[is] the son°
of Jehoshaphat,°

Yahweh°
with all°
his heart.°
So the house°
of Ahaziah°
had no°
power°
to keep°°
still°
the kingdom.° |

And Athaliah{gr.Gotholia} the mother of Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} saw that her son was dead, and she arose and destroyed all the seed royal in the house of Judah{gr.Juda}. |

But Josabeeth, the daughter of the king, took Joash{gr.Joas} the son of Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias} and rescued him secretly out of the midst of the sons of the king that were put to death, and she placed him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Josabeeth daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah{gr.Ochozias}, wife of Jehoiada{gr.Jodae} the priest, hid him, and she [even] hid him from Athaliah{gr.Gotholia}, and she did not slay him. |

him from among°°
the king's°
sons°
that were slain,°°

the sister°
of Ahaziah,)°

so that she slew°°

And he was with him hid in the house of God six years; and Athaliah{gr.Gotholia} reigned over the land. |
