  15:1 ¶
And Azariah{gr.Azarias} the son of Oded-- upon him came the Spirit of the Lord, |

15:2
and he went out to meet Asa, and all Judah{gr.Juda} and Benjamin, and said, Hear me, Asa, and all Judah{gr.Juda} and Benjamin. The Lord [is] with you, while ye are with him; and if ye seek him out, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. |

And he went out°°
to meet°
Asa,°
and said°°
unto him, Hear°°
ye me, Asa,°
and all°
Judah°
and Benjamin;°
Yahweh°
[is] with°
you, while ye be°
with°
him; and if°
ye seek°°
him, he will be found°°
of you; but if°
ye forsake°°
him, he will forsake°°
you. |

And Israel [has been] a long time without the true God, and without a priest to expound [the truth], and without the law. |
|
15:3
Now for a long°
season°°
Israel°
[hath been] without°
the true°
Elohim,°
and without°
a teaching°°
priest,°
and without°
law.° |
|
15:4
But he shall turn them to the Lord God of Israel, and he will be found of them. |
|
15:4
But when they in their trouble°
did turn°°
unto°
Yahweh°
Elohim°
of Israel,°
and sought°°
him, he was found°°
of them. |
|
15:5
And in that time there is no peace to one going out, or to one coming in, for the terror of the Lord is upon all that inhabit the lands. |
|
15:5
And in those°
times°
[there was] no°
peace°
to him that went out,°°
nor to him that came in,°°
but°
great°
vexations°
[were] upon°
all°
the inhabitants°°
of the countries.° |
|
15:6
And nation shall fight against nation, and city against city; for God has confounded them with every [kind of] affliction. |
|
15:6
And nation°
was destroyed°°
of nation,°
and city°
of city:°
for°
Elohim°
did vex°°
them with all°
adversity.° |
|
15:7
But be ye strong, and let not your hands be weakened: for there is a reward for your work. |
|
15:7
Be ye strong°°°
therefore, and let not°
your hands°
be weak:°°
for°
your work°
shall be°
rewarded.° |
|
15:8
And when [Asa] heard these words, and the prophesy of Hadad{gr.Adad} the prophet, then he strengthened himself, and cast out the abominations from all the land of Judah{gr.Juda} and Benjamin, and from the cities which Jeroboam possessed, in mount Ephraim, and he renewed the altar of the Lord, which was before the temple of the Lord. |

And when Asa°
heard°°
these°
words,°
and the prophecy°
of Oded°
the prophet,°
he took courage,°°
and put away°°
the abominable idols°
out of all°°
the land°
of Judah°
and Benjamin,°
and out of°
the cities°
which°
he had taken°°
from mount°°
Ephraim,°
and renewed°°°
the altar°
of Yahweh,°
that°
[was] before°
the porch°
of Yahweh.° |

And he assembled Judah{gr.Juda} and Benjamin, and the strangers that dwelt with him, of Ephraim, and of Manasseh{gr.Manasse}, and of Simeon{gr.Symeon}: for many of Israel were joined to him, when they saw that the Lord his God was with him. |

them out of Ephraim°°
and Manasseh,°
and out of Simeon:°°
for°
they fell°°
to°
him out of Israel°°
in abundance,°
when they saw°°
that°
Yahweh°
his Elohim°
[was] with°
him. |

And they assembled at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. |

So they gathered themselves together°°
at Jerusalem°
in the third°
month,°
in the fifteenth°°
year°
of the reign°
of Asa.° |

15:11
And he sacrificed to the Lord in that day of the spoils which they brought, seven hundred calves and seven thousand sheep. |

And they offered°°
unto Yahweh°
the same°
time,°
of°
the spoil°
[which] they had brought,°°
seven°
hundred°
oxen°
and seven°
thousand°
sheep.° |

15:12
And he entered into a covenant that they should seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul. |
|
15:12
And they entered°°
into a covenant°
to seek°°°
Yahweh°
Elohim°
of their fathers°
with all°
their heart°
and with all°
their soul;° |
|
15:13
And that whoever should not seek the Lord God of Israel, should die, whether young or old, whether man or woman. |
|
15:13
That whosoever°°
would not°
seek°°
Yahweh°
Elohim°
of Israel°
should be put to death,°°
whether°
small°
or°
great,°
whether man°°
or°
woman.° |

15:14
And they swore to the Lord with a loud voice, and with trumpets, and with cornets. |
|
15:14
And they sware°°
unto Yahweh°
with a loud°
voice,°
and with shouting,°
and with trumpets,°
and with cornets.° |
|
15:15
And all Judah{gr.Juda} rejoiced concerning the oath: for they swore with all their heart, and they sought him with all their desires; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about. |
|

rejoiced°°
at°
the oath:°
for°
they had sworn°°
with all°
their heart,°
and sought°°
him with their whole°
desire;°
and he was found°°
of them: and Yahweh°
gave them rest°°
round about.°° |

15:16 ¶
And he removed Maachah{gr.Maacha} his mother from being priestess to Ashtaroth{gr.Astarte}; and he cut down the idol, and burnt it in the brook of Kidron{gr.Kedron}. |
|
15:16 ¶
And also°
[concerning] Maachah°
the mother°
of Asa°
the king,°
he removed°°
her from [being] queen,°°
because°
she had made°°
an idol°
in a grove:°
and Asa°
cut down°°°
her idol,°
and stamped°°
[it], and burnt°°
[it] at the brook°
Kidron.° |

Nevertheless they removed not the high places: they still existed in Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days. |

But the high places°
were not°
taken away°°
out of Israel:°°
nevertheless°
the heart°
of Asa°
was°
perfect°
all°
his days.° |

15:18 ¶
And he brought in the holy things of David his father, and the holy things of the house of God, silver, and gold, and vessels. |

And he brought°°
into°
the house°
of Elohim°°
the things that his father°
had dedicated,°
and that he himself had dedicated,°
silver,°
and gold,°
and vessels.° |

15:19
And there was no war [waged] with him until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa. |
|
15:19
And there was°
no°
[more] war°
unto°
the five°
and thirtieth°
year°
of the reign°
of Asa.° |
