 5:1 ¶ This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

 5:1 ¶ Thisº [is] the bookº of the generationsº of Adam.º In the dayº that Godº createdºº man,º in the likenessº of Godº madeºº he him;

 5:2 male and female created he them, and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

 5:2 Maleº and femaleº createdºº he them; and blessedºº them, and calledººº their nameº Adam,ºº in the dayº when they were created.ºº

 5:3 ¶ And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat [a son] in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

 5:3 ¶ And Adamº livedºº an hundredº and thirtyº years,º and begatºº [a son] in his own likeness,º after his image;º and calledººº his nameº Seth:º

 5:4 and the days of Adam after he begat Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters.

 5:4 And the daysº of Adamº afterº he had begottenººº Sethº wereº eightº hundredº years:º and he begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

 5:5 And allº the daysº thatº Adamº livedºº wereº nineº hundredºº and thirtyº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begat Enosh:

 5:6 And Sethº livedºº an hundredºº and fiveº years,º and begatººº Enos:º

 5:7 and Seth lived after he begat Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:

 5:7 And Sethº livedºº afterº he begatººº Enosº eightº hundredºº and sevenº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:8 and all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

 5:8 And allº the daysº of Sethº wereº nineº hundredºº and twelveºº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:9 ¶ And Enosh lived ninety years, and begat Kenan.

 5:9 ¶ And Enosº livedºº ninetyº years,º and begatººº Cainan:º

 5:10 and Enosh lived after he begat Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:

 5:10 And Enosº livedºº afterº he begatººº Cainanº eightº hundredºº and fifteenºº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:11 and all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

 5:11 And allº the daysº of Enosº wereº nineº hundredºº and fiveº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:12 ¶ And Kenan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalalel:

 5:12 ¶ And Cainanº livedºº seventyº years,º and begatººº Mahalaleel:º

 5:13 and Kenan lived after he begat Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:

 5:13 And Cainanº livedºº afterº he begatººº Mahalaleelº eightº hundredºº and fortyº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:14 and all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

 5:14 And allº the daysº of Cainanº wereº nineº hundredºº and tenº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:15 ¶ And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:

 5:15 ¶ And Mahalaleelº livedºº sixtyºº and fiveº years,º and begatººº Jared:º

 5:16 And Mahalalel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:

 5:16 And Mahalaleelº livedºº afterº he begatººº Jaredº eightº hundredºº and thirtyº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:17 and all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

 5:17 And allº the daysº of Mahalaleelº wereº eightº hundredºº ninetyº and fiveº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:18 ¶ And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and begat Enoch:

 5:18 ¶ And Jaredº livedºº an hundredº sixtyºº and twoº years,º and he begatººº Enoch:º

 5:19 and Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

 5:19 And Jaredº livedºº afterº he begatººº Enochº eightº hundredº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

 5:20 And allº the daysº of Jaredº wereº nineº hundredºº sixtyº and twoº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:21 ¶ And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

 5:21 ¶ And Enochº livedºº sixtyº and fiveº years,º and begatººº Methuselah:º

 5:22 and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

 5:22 And Enochº walkedºº withº Godº afterº he begatººº Methuselahº threeº hundredº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:23 and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

 5:23 And allº the daysº of Enochº wereº threeº hundredºº sixtyº and fiveº years:º

 5:24 and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

 5:24 And Enochº walkedºº withº God:º and he [was] not;º forº Godº tookºº him.

 5:25 And Methuselah lived a hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:

 5:25 And Methuselahº livedºº an hundredºº eightyº and sevenº years,º and begatººº Lamech:º

 5:26 and Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters.

 5:26 And Methuselahº livedºº afterº he begatººº Lamechº sevenº hundredºº eightyº and twoº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

 5:27 And allº the daysº of Methuselahº wereº nineº hundredºº sixtyº and nineº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:28 ¶ And Lamech lived a hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

 5:28 ¶ And Lamechº livedºº an hundredºº eightyº and twoº years,º and begatºº a son:º

 5:29 and he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, [which cometh] because of the ground which Jehovah hath cursed.

 5:29 And he calledººº his nameº Noah,º saying,ºº Thisº [same] shall comfortºº us concerning our workºº and toilºº of our hands,º becauseº ofº the groundº whichº the LORDº hath cursed.ºº

 5:30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

 5:30 And Lamechº livedºº afterº he begatººº Noahº fiveº hundredºº ninetyº and fiveº years,º and begatºº sonsº and daughters:º

 5:31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

 5:31 And allº the daysº of Lamechº wereº sevenº hundredºº seventyº and sevenº years:º and he died.ºº

 5:32 And Noah was five hundred years old: And Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

 5:32 And Noahº wasº fiveº hundredº yearsº old:º and Noahº begatººº Shem,ºº Ham,º and Japheth.º
