1 Job humbleth himself to God. 6 God stirreth him up to shew his righteousness, power, and wisdom. 15 Of behemoth.

 40:1 Then the LORD 3068 said 6030a 559 to Job 347,

 40:2 “Will the faultfinder 3250 contend 7378 with the Almighty 7706b? Let him who reproves 3198 God 433 answer 6030a it.”

 40:3 ¶ Then Job 347 answered 6030a the LORD 3068 and said 559,

 40:4 “Behold 2005, I am insignificant 7043; what 4100 can I reply 7725 to You? I lay 7760 my hand 3027 on my mouth 6310.

 40:5 “Once 259 I have spoken 1696, and I will not answer 6030a; Even twice 8147, and I will add 3254 nothing 3808 more.”

 40:6 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 answered 6030a Job 347 out of the storm 5591b and said 559,

 40:7 “Now 4994 gird 247 up your loins 2504 like a man 1397; I will ask 7592 you, and you instruct 3045 Me.

 40:8 “Will you really 637 annul 6565a My judgment 4941? Will you condemn 7561 Me that you may be justified 6663?

 40:9 “Or 518 do you have an arm 2220 like God 410, And can you thunder 7481 with a voice 6963 like 3644 His?

 40:10 ¶ “Adorn 5710b yourself 5710b with eminence 1347b and dignity 1363, And clothe 3847 yourself 3847 with honor 1935 and majesty 1926.

 40:11 “Pour 6327a out the overflowings 5678 of your anger 639, And look 7200 on everyone 3605 who 1343 is proud 1343, and make 8213 him low 8213.

 40:12 “Look 7200 on everyone 3605 who 1343 is proud 1343, [and] humble 3665 him, And tread 1915 down 1915 the wicked 7563 where 8478 they stand 8478.

 40:13 “Hide 2934 them in the dust 6083 together 3162; Bind 2280 them in the hidden 2934 [place].

 40:14 “Then I will also 1571 confess 3034 to you, That your own right 3225 hand 3225 can save 3467 you.

 40:15 ¶ “Behold 2009 now 4994, Behemoth 930, which 834 I made 6213a as well 5973 as you; He eats 398 grass 2682 like an ox 1241.

 40:16 “Behold 2009 now 4994, his strength 3581b in his loins 4975 And his power 202 in the muscles 8306 of his belly 990.

 40:17 “He bends 2654b his tail 2180 like 3644 a cedar 730; The sinews 1517 of his thighs 6344 are knit 8276 together 8276.

 40:18 “His bones 6106 are tubes 650 of bronze 5154; His limbs 1634 are like bars 4300 of iron 1270.
