Job 27

1 Job protesteth his sincerety. 8 The hypocrite is without hope. 11 The blessings which the wicked have are turned into curses.

 27:1 Then Job 347 continued 3254 5375 his discourse 4912 and said 559,

 27:2 “As God 410 lives 2416a, who has taken 5493 away 5493 my right 4941, And the Almighty 7706b, who has embittered 4843 my soul 5315,

 27:3 For as long 3605 5750 as life 5397 is in me, And the breath 5397 of God 433 is in my nostrils 639,

 27:4 My lips 8193 certainly 518 will not speak 1696 unjustly 5767b, Nor 518 will my tongue 3956 mutter 1897 deceit 7423a.

 27:5 “Far 2486 be it from me that I should declare 6663 you right 6663; Till 5704 I die 1478 I will not put 5493 away 5493 my integrity 8538 from me.

 27:6 “I hold 2388 fast 2388 my righteousness 6666 and will not let 7503 it go 7503. My heart 3824 does not reproach 2778a any 4480 of my days 3117.

 27:7 ¶ “May my enemy 340 be as the wicked 7563 And my opponent 6965 as the unjust 5767a.

 27:8 “For what 4100 is the hope 8615b of the godless 2611 when 3588 he is cut 1214 off 1214, When 3588 God 433 requires 7953 his life 5315?

 27:9 “Will God 410 hear 8085 his cry 6818 When 3588 distress 6869a comes 935 upon him?

 27:10 “Will he take 6026 delight 6026 in the Almighty 7706b? Will he call 7121 on God 433 at all 3605 times 6256?

 27:11 “I will instruct 3384 you in the power 3027 of God 410; What 834 is with the Almighty 7706b I will not conceal 3582.

 27:12 “Behold 2005, all 3605 of you have seen 2372 [it]; Why 4100 then 2088 do you act 1891 foolishly 1891?

 27:13 ¶ “This 2088 is the portion 2506 of a wicked 7563 man 120 from God 410, And the inheritance 5159 [which] tyrants 6184 receive 3947 from the Almighty 7706b.

 27:14 “Though 518 his sons 1121 are many 7235a, they are destined for the sword 2719; And his descendants 6631 will not be satisfied 7646 with bread 3899.

 27:15 “His survivors 8300 will be buried 6912 because of the plague 4194, And their widows 490 will not be able to weep 1058.

 27:16 “Though 518 he piles 6651 up silver 3701 like dust 6083 And prepares 3559 garments 4403 as [plentiful as] the clay 2563a,

 27:17 He may prepare 3559 [it], but the just 6662 will wear 3847 [it] And the innocent 5355a will divide 2505a the silver 3701.

 27:18 “He has built 1129 his house 1004 like the spider’s web, Or as a hut 5521 [which] the watchman 5341 has made 6213a.

 27:19 “He lies 7901 down 7901 rich 6223, but never 3808 again 622; He opens 6491b his eyes 5869, and it is no 369 longer 369.

 27:20 “Terrors 1091 overtake 5381 him like a flood 4325; A tempest 5492a steals 1589 him away 1589 in the night 3915.

 27:21 “The east 6921 wind 6921 carries 5375 him away, and he is gone 1980, For it whirls 8175a him away 8175a from his place 4725.

 27:22 “For it will hurl 7993 at him without 3808 sparing 2550; He will surely 1272 try to flee 1272 from its power 3027.

 27:23 “[Men] will clap 5606 their hands 3709 at him And will hiss 8319 him from his place 4725.
