Job 3
1 Job curseth the day and services of his birth. 13 The ease of death. 20 He complaineth of life, because of his anguish.

3:1
Afterward 310 3651 Job 347 opened 6605a his mouth 6310 and cursed 7043 the day 3117 of his [birth].

3:2
And Job 347 said 6030a 559,

3:3
“Let the day 3117 perish 6 on which I was to be born 3205, And the night 3915 [which] said 559, ‘A boy 1397 is conceived 2029.’

3:4
“May that day 3117 be darkness 2822; Let not God 433 above 4605 care 1875 for it, Nor 408 light 5105 shine 3313 on it.

3:5
“Let darkness 2822 and black 6757 gloom 6757 claim 1350 it; Let a cloud 6053 settle 7931 on it; Let the blackness 3650 of the day 3117 terrify 1204 it.

3:6
“[As for] that night 3915, let darkness 652 seize 3947 it; Let it not rejoice 2302b among the days 3117 of the year 8141; Let it not come 935 into the number 4557 of the months 3391.

3:7
“Behold 2009, let that night 3915 be barren 1565; Let no 408 joyful 7445 shout 7445 enter 935 it.

3:8
“Let those curse 6895 it who curse 779 the day 3117, Who are prepared 6264 to rouse 5782 Leviathan 3882.

3:9
“Let the stars 3556 of its twilight 5399 be darkened 2821; Let it wait 6960a for light 216 but have 369 none 369, And let it not see 7200 the breaking 6079 dawn 7837;

3:10
Because 3588 it did not shut 5462 the opening 1817 of my [mother’s] womb 990, Or hide 5641 trouble 5999 from my eyes 5869.

3:11
¶ “Why 4100 did I not die 4191 at birth 7358, Come 3318 forth 3318 from the womb 990 and expire 1478?

3:12
“Why 4069 did the knees 1290 receive 6923 me, And why 4100 the breasts 7699a, that I should suck 3243?

3:13
“For now 6258 I would have lain 7901 down 7901 and been 8252 quiet 8252; I would have slept 3462 then 227, I would have been 5117 at rest 5117,

3:14
With kings 4428 and [with] counselors 3289 of the earth 776, Who rebuilt 1129 ruins 2723 for themselves;

3:15
Or 176 with princes 8269 who had gold 2091, Who were filling 4390 their houses 1004 [with] silver 3701.

3:16
“Or 176 like a miscarriage 5309 which is discarded 2934, I would not be, As infants 5768 that never 3808 saw 7200 light 216.

3:17
“There 8033 the wicked 7563 cease 2308 from raging 7267, And there 8033 the weary 3019 are at rest 5117.

3:18
“The prisoners 615 are at ease 7599 together 3162; They do not hear 8085 the voice 6963 of the taskmaster 5065.

3:19
“The small 6996b and the great 1419 are there 8033, And the slave 5650 is free 2670 from his master 113.

3:20
¶ “Why 4100 is light 216 given 5414 to him who 6001a suffers 6001a, And life 2425b to the bitter 4751 of soul 5315,

3:21
Who long 2442 for death 4194, but there 369 is none 369, And dig 2658 for it more 4480 than 4480 for hidden 4301 treasures 4301,

3:22
Who rejoice 8056 greatly 413 1524a, [And] exult 7797 when 3588 they find 4672 the grave 6913?

3:23
“[Why is light given] to a man 1397 whose 834 way 1870 is hidden 5641, And whom God 433 has hedged 5480b in?

3:24
“For my groaning 585 comes 935 at the sight 6440 of my food 3899, And my cries 7581 pour 5413 out like water 4325.

3:25
“For what 6343 I fear 6342 comes 857 upon me, And what 834 I dread 3025 befalls 935 me.

3:26
“I am not at ease 7951, nor 3808 am I quiet 8252, And I am not at rest 5117, but turmoil 7267 comes 935.”
