39:1
“Do you know 3045 the time 6256 the mountain 3277 5553 goats 3277 give 3205 birth 3205? Do you observe 8104 the calving 2342a of the deer 355?

39:2
“Can you count 5608 the months 3391 they fulfill 4390, Or do you know 3045 the time 6256 they give 3205 birth 3205?

39:3
“They kneel 3766 down 3766, they bring 6398 forth 6398 their young 3206, They get 7971 rid 7971 of their labor 2256b pains 2256b.

39:4
“Their offspring 1121 become 2492a strong 2492a, they grow 7235a up in the open 1253b field 1253b; They leave 3318 and do not return 7725 to them.

39:5
¶ “Who 4310 sent 7971 out the wild 6501 donkey 6501 free 2670? And who 4310 loosed 6605a the bonds 4147 of the swift 6171 donkey 6171,

39:6
To whom 834 I gave 7760 the wilderness 6160 for a home 1004 And the salt 4420 land 4420 for his dwelling 4908 place 4908?

39:7
“He scorns 7832 the tumult 1995 of the city 7151, The shoutings 8663 of the driver 5065 he does not hear 8085.

39:8
“He explores 8446 the mountains 2022 for his pasture 4829 And searches 1875 after 310 every 3605 green 3387 thing 3387.

39:9
“Will the wild 7214 ox 7214 consent 14 to serve 5647 you, Or 518 will he spend 3885a the night 3885a at your manger 18?

39:10
“Can you bind 7194 the wild 7214 ox 7214 in a furrow 8525 with ropes 5688, Or 518 will he harrow 7702 the valleys 6010 after 310 you?

39:11
“Will you trust 539 him because 3588 his strength 3581b is great 7227a And leave 5800a your labor 3018 to him?

39:12
“Will you have 539 faith 539 in him that he will return 7725 your grain 2233 And gather 622 [it from] your threshing 1637 floor 1637?

39:13
¶ “The ostriches’ 7443 wings 3671 flap 5965 joyously 5965 With the pinion 84 and plumage 5133 of love 2623,

39:14
For she abandons 5800a her eggs 1000 to the earth 776 And warms 2552 them in the dust 6083,

39:15
And she forgets 7911 that a foot 7272 may crush 2115 them, Or that a wild 7704 beast 2421b may trample 1758 them.

39:16
“She treats 7188 her young 1121 cruelly 7188, as if [they] were not hers; Though her labor 3018 be in vain 7385b, [she] is unconcerned 1097 6343;

39:17
Because 3588 God 433 has made her forget 5382 wisdom 2451, And has not given 2505a her a share 2505a of understanding 998.

39:18
“When 6256 she lifts 4754 herself on high 4791, She laughs 7832 at the horse 5483b and his rider 7392.

39:19
¶ “Do you give 5414 the horse 5483b [his] might 1369? Do you clothe 3847 his neck 6677 with a mane 7483?

39:20
“Do you make him leap 7493 like the locust 697? His majestic 1935 snorting 5170a is terrible 367.

39:21
“He paws 2658 in the valley 6010, and rejoices 7797 in [his] strength 3581b; He goes 3318 out to meet 7122 the weapons 5402.

39:22
“He laughs 7832 at fear 6343 and is not dismayed 2865; And he does not turn 7725 back 7725 from the sword 2719.

39:23
“The quiver 827 rattles 7439 against 5921 him, The flashing 3851 spear 2595 and javelin 3591.

39:24
“With shaking 7494 and rage 7267 he races 1572 over the ground 776, And he does not stand 539 still 539 at the voice 6963 of the trumpet 7782.

39:25
“As often 1767 as the trumpet 7782 [sounds] he says 559, ‘Aha 1889!’ And he scents 7381a the battle 4421 from afar 7350, And the thunder 7482 of the captains 8269 and the war 8643 cry 8643.

39:26
¶ “Is it by your understanding 998 that the hawk 5322b soars 82, Stretching 6566 his wings 3671 toward the south 8486?

39:27
“Is it at your command 6310 that the eagle 5404 mounts 1361b up And makes 7311 his nest 7064 on high 7311?

39:28
“On the cliff 5553 he dwells 7931 and lodges 3885a, Upon the rocky 5553 crag 8127, an inaccessible 4686b place 4686b.

39:29
“From there 8033 he spies 2658 out food 400; His eyes 5869 see 5027 [it] from afar 7350.

39:30
“His young 667 ones 667 also suck 5966 up blood 1818; And where 834 the slain 2491a are, there 8033 is he.”
