my son°
out of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם.°° |

When Yisrael [was] a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Mitzrayim. |

[As] they called°°
them, so°
they went°°
from°°
them:°
they sacrificed°°
unto
Bæ`älîm
בְּעָלִים,°
and burned incense°°
to graven images.° |

[As] they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Bealim, and burned incense to graven images. |

taught°°
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם°
also to go,°°°
taking°°
them by°
their arms;°
but they knew°°
not°
that°
I healed°°
them. |

I taught Efrayim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them. |

I drew°°
them with cords°
of a man,°
with bands°
of love:°
and I was°
to them as they that take off°°
the yoke°
on°
their jaws,°
and I laid°°
meat°°
unto°
them. |

I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them. |

11:5 ¶
He shall not°
return°°
into°
the land°
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,°
but the
´Aššûr
אַשּׁוּר°
shall be his king,°
because°
they refused°°
to return.°° |

He shall not return into the land of Mitzrayim, but the Ashshur shall be his king, because they refused to return. |

And the sword°
shall abide°°
on his cities,°
and shall consume°°
his branches,°
and devour°°
[them], because of their own counsels.°° |

And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour [them], because of their own counsels. |

And my people°
are bent°°
to backsliding°
from me: though they called°°
them to°
the most High,°
none at all°°
would exalt°°
[him]. |

shall I give thee up,°°
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם?°
[how] shall I deliver°°
thee,
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל?°
how°
shall I make°°
thee as
´Ađmà
אַדמָה?°
[how] shall I set°°
thee as
Xævôyim
צְבוֹיִם?°
mine heart°
is turned°°
within°
me, my repentings°
are kindled°°
together.° |

How shall I give thee up, Efrayim? [how] shall I deliver thee, Yisrael? how shall I make thee as Admah? [how] shall I set thee as Tzevoyim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together. |

I will not°
execute°°
the fierceness°
of mine anger,°
I will not°
return°°
to destroy°°
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם:°
for°
I°
[am]
´Ël
אֵל,°
and not°
man;°
the Holy One°
in the midst°
of thee: and I will not°
enter°°
into the city.° |

I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Efrayim: for I [am] El, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city. |

They shall walk°°°
after°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:°
he shall roar°°
like a lion:°
when°
he°
shall roar,°°
then the children°
shall tremble°°
from the west.°° |

They shall walk after Yahweh: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west. |

They shall tremble°°
as a bird°
out of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,°°
and as a dove°
out of the land°°
of
´Aššûr
אַשּׁוּר:°
and I will place°°
them in°
their houses,°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

They shall tremble as a bird out of Mitzrayim, and as a dove out of the land of Ashshur: and I will place them in their houses, saith Yahweh. |

´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם°
compasseth°°
me about°
with lies,°
and the house°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
with deceit:°
but
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה°
yet°
ruleth°°
with°
´Ël
אֵל,°
and is faithful°°
with°
the saints.° |

Efrayim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Yisrael with deceit: but Yehudah yet ruleth with El, and is faithful with the saints. |
