[is] toward you, because°

a snare°

Mixpà
מִצפָּה,°
and a net°
spread°°
upon°
Tävôr
תָּבוֹר.° |

Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Yisrael; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment [is] toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mitzpah, and a net spread upon Tavor. |

I know Efrayim, and Yisrael is not hid from me: for now, O Efrayim, thou committest whoredom, [and] Yisrael is defiled. |

their doings°

unto°
their
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים:°
for°
the spirit°
of whoredoms°
[is] in the midst°
of them, and they have not°
known°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

They will not frame their doings to turn unto their Elohim: for the spirit of whoredoms [is] in the midst of them, and they have not known Yahweh. |

And the pride°

doth testify°°
to his face:°
therefore shall
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°

´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם°
fall°°
in their iniquity;°
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה°
also°
shall fall°°
with°
them. |

And the pride of Yisrael doth testify to his face: therefore shall Yisrael and Efrayim fall in their iniquity; Yehudah also shall fall with them. |

with their flocks°
and with their herds°
to seek°°°

[him]; he hath withdrawn°°
himself from°
them. |

that which shall surely be.°° |

When Efrayim saw his sickness, and Yehudah [saw] his wound, then went Efrayim to the Ashshur, and sent to king Yarev: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound. |

[will be] unto
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם°
as a lion,°
and as a young lion°
to the house°
of
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה:°
I,°
[even] I,°
will tear°°
and go away;°°°
I will take away,°°
and none°
shall rescue°°
[him]. |

For I [will be] unto Efrayim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Yehudah: I, [even] I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue [him]. |

my place,°
till°°
they acknowledge their offence,°°
and seek°°
my face:°
in their affliction°
they will seek me early.°° |
