 32:1 ¶ And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first [day] of the month, that the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

 32:1 ¶ And it came to passº in the twelfthºº year,º in the twelfthºº month,º in the firstº [day] of the month,º [that] the wordº of the LORDº cameº untoº me, saying,ºº

 32:2 Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou wast likened unto a young lion of the nations: yet art thou as a monster in the seas; and thou didst break forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.

 32:2 Sonº of man,º take upºº a lamentationº forº Pharaohº kingº of Egypt,º and sayºº untoº him, Thou art likeºº a young lionº of the nations,º and thouº [art] as a whaleººº in the seas:º and thou camest forthºº with thy rivers,º and troubledstºº the watersº with thy feet,º and fouledstººº their rivers.º

 32:3 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will spread out my net upon thee with a company of many peoples; and they shall bring thee up in my net.

 32:3 Thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º I will therefore spread outººº my netº overº thee with a companyº of manyº people;º and they shall bring thee upºº in my net.º

 32:4 And I will leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the birds of the heavens to settle upon thee, and I will satisfy the beasts of the whole earth with thee.

 32:4 Then will I leaveºº thee upon the land,º I will cast thee forthºº uponº the openº field,º and will cause allº the fowlsº of the heavenº to remainºº uponº thee, and I will fillºº the beastsº of the wholeº earthº withº thee.

 32:5 And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height.

 32:5 And I will layººº thy fleshº uponº the mountains,º and fillºº the valleysº with thy height.º

 32:6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the watercourses shall be full of thee.

 32:6 I will also waterºº with thy bloodºº the landº wherein thou swimmest,º [even] toº the mountains;º and the riversº shall be fullºº ofº thee.

 32:7 And when I shall extinguish thee, I will cover the heavens, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.

 32:7 And when I shall put thee out,ºº I will coverºº the heaven,º and makeºº the starsº thereof dark;ºººº I will coverºº the sunº with a cloud,º and the moonº shall notº giveºº her light.º

 32:8 All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord Jehovah.

 32:8 Allº the brightºº lightsºº of heavenº will I make darkºº overº thee, and setºº darknessº uponº thy land,º saithºº the Lordº GOD.º

 32:9 I will also vex the hearts of many peoples, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.

 32:9 I will also vexºº the heartsº of manyº people,º when I shall bringºº thy destructionº among the nations,º intoº the countriesº whichº thou hast notº known.ºº

 32:10 Yea, I will make many peoples amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.

 32:10 Yea, I will make manyº peopleº amazedºººº atº thee, and their kingsº shall be horriblyº afraidººº forº thee, when I shall brandishºº my swordº beforeºº them;º and they shall trembleºº at [every] moment,º every manº for his own life,º in the dayº of thy fall.º

 32:11 ¶ For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.

 32:11 ¶ Forº thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º The swordº of the kingº of Babylonº shall comeºº uponº thee.

 32:12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall; the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall bring to nought the pride of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

 32:12 By the swordsº of the mightyº will I cause thy multitudeº to fall,ºº the terribleº of the nations,º allº of them: and they shall spoilººº the pompº of Egypt,º and allº the multitudeº thereof shall be destroyed.ºº

 32:13 I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside many waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.

 32:13 I will destroyºº alsoº allº the beastsº thereof fromº besideºº the greatº waters;º neitherº shall the footº of manº troubleºº them any more,º norº the hoofsº of beastsº troubleºº them.

 32:14 Then will I make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord Jehovah.

 32:14 Thenº will I make their watersº deep,ººº and cause their riversº to runººº like oil,º saithºº the Lordº GOD.º

 32:15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am Jehovah.

 32:15 When I shall makeººº the landº of Egyptº desolate,º and the countryº shall be destituteºº of that whereof it was full,ºº when I shall smiteººº allº them that dwellºº therein, then shall they knowºº thatº Iº [am] the LORD.º

 32:16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament; the daughters of the nations shall lament therewith; over Egypt, and over all her multitude, shall they lament therewith, saith the Lord Jehovah.

 32:16 Thisº [is] the lamentationº wherewith they shall lamentºº her: the daughtersº of the nationsº shall lamentºº her: they shall lamentºº for her, [even] forº Egypt,º and forº allº her multitude,º saithºº the Lordº GOD.º

 32:17 ¶ It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth [day] of the month, that the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

 32:17 ¶ It came to passº also in the twelfthºº year,º in the fifteenthºº [day] of the month,º [that] the wordº of the LORDº cameº untoº me, saying,ºº

 32:18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

 32:18 Sonº of man,º wailºº forº the multitudeº of Egypt,º and cast them down,ºº [even] her, and the daughtersº of the famousº nations,º untoº the nether partsº of the earth,º withº them that go downºº into the pit.º

 32:19 Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.

 32:19 Whomºº dost thou pass in beauty?ºº go down,ºº and be thou laidºº withº the uncircumcised.º

 32:20 They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword; draw her away and all her multitudes.

 32:20 They shall fallºº in the midstº of [them that are] slainº by the sword:º she is deliveredºº to the sword:º drawºº her and allº her multitudes.º

 32:21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie still, even the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

 32:21 The strongº among the mightyº shall speakºº to him out of the midstºº of hellº withº them that helpºº him: they are gone down,ºº they lieºº uncircumcised,º slainº by the sword.º

 32:22 Asshur is there and all her company; her graves are round about her; all of them slain, fallen by the sword;

 32:22 Asshurº [is] thereº and allº her company:º his gravesº [are] aboutº him: allº of them slain,º fallenºº by the sword:º

 32:23 whose graves are set in the uttermost parts of the pit, and her company is round about her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who caused terror in the land of the living.

 32:23 Whoseº gravesº are setºº in the sidesº of the pit,º and her companyº isº round aboutº her grave:º allº of them slain,º fallenºº by the sword,º whichº causedºº terrorº in the landº of the living.º

 32:24 There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living, and have borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.

 32:24 Thereº [is] Elamº and allº her multitudeº round aboutº her grave,º allº of them slain,º fallenºº by the sword,º whichº are gone downºº uncircumcisedº intoº the nether partsº of the earth,º whichº causedºº their terrorº in the landº of the living;º yet have they borneºº their shameº withº them that go downºº to the pit.º

 32:25 They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude; her graves are round about her; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for their terror was caused in the land of the living, and they have borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that are slain.

 32:25 They have setºº her a bedº in the midstº of the slainº with allº her multitude:º her gravesº [are] round aboutº him: allº of them uncircumcised,º slainº by the sword:º thoughº their terrorº was causedºº in the landº of the living,º yet have they borneºº their shameº withº them that go downºº to the pit:º he is putºº in the midstº of [them that be] slain.º

 32:26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude; their graves are round about them; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for they caused their terror in the land of the living.

 32:26 Thereº [is] Meshech,º Tubal,º and allº her multitude:º her gravesº [are] round aboutº him: allº of them uncircumcised,º slainºº by the sword,º thoughº they causedºº their terrorº in the landº of the living.º

 32:27 And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, that are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are upon their bones; for [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

 32:27 And they shall notº lieºº withº the mightyº [that are] fallenºº of the uncircumcised,ºº whichº are gone downºº to hellº with their weaponsº of war:º and they have laidººº their swordsº underº their heads,º but their iniquitiesº shall beº uponº their bones,º thoughº [they were] the terrorº of the mightyº in the landº of the living.º

 32:28 But thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain by the sword.

 32:28 Yea, thouº shalt be brokenºº in the midstº of the uncircumcised,º and shalt lieºº withº [them that are] slainº with the sword.º

 32:29 There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who in their might are laid with them that are slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.

 32:29 Thereº [is] Edom,º her kings,º and allº her princes,º whichº with their mightº are laidºº byº [them that were] slainº by the sword:º theyº shall lieºº withº the uncircumcised,º and withº them that go downºº to the pit.º

 32:30 There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who are gone down with the slain; in the terror which they caused by their might they are put to shame; and they lie uncircumcised with them that are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.

 32:30 Thereº [be] the princesº of the north,º allº of them, and allº the Zidonians,º whichº are gone downºº withº the slain;º with their terrorº they are ashamedºº of their might;ºº and they lieºº uncircumcisedº withº [them that be] slainº by the sword,º and bearºº their shameº withº them that go downºº to the pit.º

 32:31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.

 32:31 Pharaohº shall seeºº them, and shall be comfortedºº overº allº his multitude,º [even] Pharaohº and allº his armyº slainº by the sword,º saithºº the Lordº GOD.º

 32:32 For I have put his terror in the land of the living; and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord Jehovah.

 32:32 Forº I have causedººº my terrorº in the landº of the living:º and he shall be laidºº in the midstº of the uncircumcisedº withº [them that are] slainº with the sword,º [even] Pharaohº and allº his multitude,º saithºº the Lordº GOD.º
