 25:1 ¶ And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

 25:1 ¶ The wordº of the LORDº cameº again untoº me, saying,ºº

 25:2 Son of man, set thy face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them:

 25:2 Sonº of man,º setºº thy faceº againstº the Ammonites,ºº and prophesyºº againstº them;

 25:3 and say unto the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:

 25:3 And sayºº unto the Ammonites,ºº Hearºº the wordº of the Lordº GOD;º Thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º Becauseº thou saidst,ºº Aha,º againstº my sanctuary,º whenº it was profaned;ºº and againstº the landº of Israel,º whenº it was desolate;ºº and againstº the houseº of Judah,º whenº they wentºº into captivity;º

 25:4 therefore, behold, I will deliver thee to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.

 25:4 Behold,º thereforeº I will deliverºº thee to the menº of the eastº for a possession,º and they shall setºº their palacesº in thee, and makeºº their dwellingsº in thee: theyº shall eatºº thy fruit,º and theyº shall drinkºº thy milk.º

 25:5 And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching-place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

 25:5 And I will makeººº Rabbahº a stableº for camels,º and the Ammonitesºº a couchingplaceº for flocks:º and ye shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] the LORD.º

 25:6 For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of thy soul against the land of Israel;

 25:6 Forº thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º Becauseº thou hast clappedºº [thine] hands,º and stampedºº with the feet,º and rejoicedºº in heartº with allº thy despiteº againstº the landº of Israel;º

 25:7 therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.

 25:7 Behold,º thereforeº I will stretch outººº mine handº uponº thee, and will deliverºº thee for a spoilººº to the heathen;º and I will cut thee offºº fromº the people,º and I will cause thee to perishºº out ofº the countries:º I will destroyºº thee; and thou shalt knowºº thatº Iº [am] the LORD.º

 25:8 ¶ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the nations;

 25:8 ¶ Thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º Becauseº thatº Moabº and Seirº do say,ºº Behold,º the houseº of Judahº [is] like unto allº the heathen;º

 25:9 therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,

 25:9 Therefore,º behold,º I will openººº the sideº of Moabº from the cities,ºº from his citiesºº [which are] on his frontiers,ºº the gloryº of the country,º Bethjeshimoth,º Baalmeon,º and Kiriathaim,º

 25:10 unto the children of the east, [to go] against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.

 25:10 Unto the menº of the eastº withº the Ammonites,ºº and will giveºº them in possession,º thatº the Ammonitesºº may notº be rememberedºº among the nations.º

 25:11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

 25:11 And I will executeºº judgmentsº upon Moab;º and they shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] the LORD.º

 25:12 ¶ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

 25:12 ¶ Thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º Because thatº Edomº hath dealtºº against the houseº of Judahº by takingºº vengeance,º and hath greatlyºº offended,ºº and revengedºº himselfº upon them;

 25:13 therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, I will stretch out my hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

 25:13 Thereforeº thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º I will also stretch outºº mine handº uponº Edom,º and will cut offºº manº and beastº fromº it; and I will makeºº it desolateº from Teman;ºº and they of Dedanº shall fallºº by the sword.º

 25:14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord Jehovah.

 25:14 And I will layººº my vengeanceº upon Edomº by the handº of my peopleº Israel:º and they shall doºº in Edomº according to mine angerº and according to my fury;º and they shall knowººº my vengeance,º saithºº the Lordº GOD.º

 25:15 ¶ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual enmity;

 25:15 ¶ Thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º Becauseº the Philistinesº have dealtºº by revenge,º and have takenºº vengeanceº with a despitefulº heart,º to destroyº [it] for the oldº hatred;º

 25:16 therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will stretch out my hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

 25:16 Thereforeº thusº saithºº the Lordº GOD;º Behold,º I will stretch outºº mine handº uponº the Philistines,º and I will cut offººº the Cherethims,º and destroyººº the remnantº of the seaº coast.º

 25:17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

 25:17 And I will executeºº greatº vengeanceº upon them with furiousº rebukes;º and they shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] the LORD,º when I shall layººº my vengeanceº upon them.
