Leviticus 18

1 Unlawful marriages. 19 Unlawful lusts.

 18:1 Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872, saying 559,

 18:2 “Speak 1696 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 and say 559 to them, ‘I am the LORD 3068 your God 430.

 18:3 ‘You shall not do 6213a what 4639 is done 4639 in the land 776 of Egypt 4714 where 834 you lived 3427, nor 3808 are you to do 6213a what 4639 is done 4639 in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a where 834 8033 I am bringing 935 you; you shall not walk 1980 in their statutes 2708.

 18:4 ‘You are to perform 6213a My judgments 4941 and keep 8104 My statutes 2708, to live 1980 in accord with them; I am the LORD 3068 your God 430.

 18:5 ‘So you shall keep 8104 My statutes 2708 and My judgments 4941, by which 834 a man 120 may live 2421a if he does 6213a them; I am the LORD 3068.

 18:6 ¶ ‘None 376 3808 of you shall approach 7126 any 3605 blood 7607 relative 7607 of his to uncover 1540 nakedness 6172; I am the LORD 3068.

 18:7 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of your father 1, that is, the nakedness 6172 of your mother 517. She is your mother 517; you are not to uncover 1540 her nakedness 6172.

 18:8 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of your father’s 1 wife 802; it is your father’s 1 nakedness 6172.

 18:9 ‘The nakedness 6172 of your sister 269, [either] your father’s 1 daughter 1323 or 176 your mother’s 517 daughter 1323, whether born 4138 at home 1004 or 176 born 4138 outside 2351, their nakedness 6172 you shall not uncover 1540.

 18:10 ‘The nakedness 6172 of your son’s 1121 daughter 1323 or 176 your daughter’s 1323 daughter 1323, their nakedness 6172 you shall not uncover 1540; for their nakedness 6172 is yours.

 18:11 ‘The nakedness 6172 of your father’s 1 wife’s 802 daughter 1323, born 4138 to your father 1, she is your sister 269, you shall not uncover 1540 her nakedness 6172.

 18:12 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of your father’s 1 sister 269; she is your father’s 1 blood 7607 relative 7607.

 18:13 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of your mother’s 517 sister 269, for she is your mother’s 517 blood 7607 relative 7607.

 18:14 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of your father’s 1 brother 251; you shall not approach 7126 his wife 802, she is your aunt 1733.

 18:15 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of your daughter-in-law 3618; she is your son’s 1121 wife 802, you shall not uncover 1540 her nakedness 6172.

 18:16 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of your brother’s 251 wife 802; it is your brother’s 251 nakedness 6172.

 18:17 ‘You shall not uncover 1540 the nakedness 6172 of a woman 802 and of her daughter 1323, nor 3808 shall you take 3947 her son’s 1121 daughter 1323 or her daughter’s 1323 daughter 1323, to uncover 1540 her nakedness 6172; they are blood 7607 relatives 7607. It is lewdness 2154.

 18:18 ‘You shall not marry 3947 a woman 802 in addition 413 to her sister 269 as a rival 6887d while she is alive 2425b, to uncover 1540 her nakedness 6172.

 18:19 ¶ ‘Also you shall not approach 7126 a woman 802 to uncover 1540 her nakedness 6172 during her menstrual 5079 impurity 2932a.

 18:20 ‘You shall not have 5414 intercourse 2233 7903 with your neighbor’s 5997 wife 802, to be defiled 2930 with her.

 18:21 ‘You shall not give 5414 any 4480 of your offspring 2233 to offer 5674a them to Molech 4432, nor 3808 shall you profane 2455 the name 8034 of your God 430; I am the LORD 3068.

 18:22 ‘You shall not lie 7901 with a male 2145 as one lies 7901 with a female 802; it is an abomination 8441.

 18:23 ‘Also you shall not have 5414 intercourse 7903 with any 3605 animal 929 to be defiled 2930 with it, nor 3808 shall any 802 woman 802 stand 5975 before 6440 an animal 929 to mate 7250 with it; it is a perversion 8397.

 18:24 ¶ ‘Do not defile 2930 yourselves by any 3605 of these 428 things 428; for by all 3605 these 428 the nations 1471 which 834 I am casting 7971 out before 4480 6440 you have become 2930 defiled 2930.

 18:25 ‘For the land 776 has become 2930 defiled 2930, therefore I have brought 6485 its punishment 5771 upon it, so the land 776 has spewed 7006a out its inhabitants 3427.

 18:26 ‘But as for you, you are to keep 8104 My statutes 2708 and My judgments 4941 and shall not do 6213a any 4480 3605 of these 428 abominations 8441, [neither] the native 249, nor the alien 1616 who sojourns 1481a among 8432 you

 18:27 (for the men 376 of the land 776 who 834 have been before 6440 you have done 6213a all 3605 these 411 abominations 8441, and the land 776 has become 2930 defiled 2930);

 18:28 so that the land 776 will not spew 7006a you out, should you defile 2930 it, as it has spewed 7006a out the nation 1471 which 834 has been before 6440 you.

 18:29 ‘For whoever 3605 834 does 6213a any 4480 3605 of these 428 abominations 8441, those persons 5315 who do 6213a [so] shall be cut 3772 off 3772 from among 7130 their people 5971b.

 18:30 ‘Thus you are to keep 8104 My charge 4931, that you do not practice 6213a any 4480 of the abominable 8441 customs 2708 which 834 have been practiced 6213a before 6440 you, so as not to defile 2930 yourselves with them; I am the LORD 3068 your God 430.’”
