Leviticus 13

The laws and tokens whereby the priest is to be guided in discerning the leprosy.

 13:1 Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872 and to Aaron 175, saying 559,

 13:2 “When 3588 a man 120 has 1961 on the skin 5785 of his body 1320 a swelling 7613 or 176 a scab 5597 or 176 a bright 934 spot 934, and it becomes 1961 an infection 5061 of leprosy 6883 on the skin 5785 of his body 1320, then he shall be brought 935 to Aaron 175 the priest 3548 or 176 to one 259 of his sons 1121 the priests 3548.

 13:3 “The priest 3548 shall look 7200 at the mark 5061 on the skin 5785 of the body 1320, and if the hair 8181 in the infection 5061 has turned 2015 white 3836 and the infection 5061 appears 4758 to be deeper 6013 than 4480 the skin 5785 of his body 1320, it is an infection 5061 of leprosy 6883; when the priest 3548 has looked 7200 at him, he shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930.

 13:4 “But if 518 the bright 934 spot 934 is white 3836 on the skin 5785 of his body 1320, and it does not appear 4758 to be deeper 6013 than 4480 the skin 5785, and the hair 8181 on it has not turned 2015 white 3836, then the priest 3548 shall isolate 5462 [him who has] the infection 5061 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 13:5 “The priest 3548 shall look 7200 at him on the seventh 7637 day 3117, and if 2009 in his eyes 5869 the infection 5061 has not changed 5975 [and] the infection 5061 has not spread 6581 on the skin 5785, then the priest 3548 shall isolate 5462 him for seven 7651 more 8145 days 3117.

 13:6 “The priest 3548 shall look 7200 at him again 8145 on the seventh 7637 day 3117, and if 2009 the infection 5061 has faded 3544 and the mark 5061 has not spread 6581 on the skin 5785, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2891 him clean 2891; it is [only] a scab 4556. And he shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b and be clean 2891.

 13:7 ¶ “But if 518 the scab 4556 spreads 6581 farther 6581 on the skin 5785 after 310 he has shown 7200 himself to the priest 3548 for his cleansing 2893, he shall appear 7200 again 8145 to the priest 3548.

 13:8 “The priest 3548 shall look 7200, and if 2009 the scab 4556 has spread 6581 on the skin 5785, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; it is leprosy 6883.

 13:9 ¶ “When 3588 the infection 5061 of leprosy 6883 is on a man 120, then he shall be brought 935 to the priest 3548.

 13:10 “The priest 3548 shall then look 7200, and if 2009 there is a white 3836 swelling 7613 in the skin 5785, and it has turned 2015 the hair 8181 white 3836, and there is quick 4241 raw 2416a flesh 1320 in the swelling 7613,

 13:11 it is a chronic 3462 leprosy 6883 on the skin 5785 of his body 1320, and the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; he shall not isolate 5462 him, for he is unclean 2931.

 13:12 “If 518 the leprosy 6883 breaks 6524b out farther 6524a on the skin 5785, and the leprosy 6883 covers 3680 all 3605 the skin 5785 of [him who has] the infection 5061 from his head 7218 even to his feet 7272, as far 3605 as the priest 3548 can see 4758 5869,

 13:13 then the priest 3548 shall look 7200, and behold 2009, [if] the leprosy 6883 has covered 3680 all 3605 his body 1320, he shall pronounce 2891 clean 2891 [him who has] the infection 5061; it has all 3605 turned 2015 white 3836 [and] he is clean 2889.

 13:14 “But whenever 3117 raw 2416a flesh 1320 appears 7200 on him, he shall be unclean 2930.

 13:15 “The priest 3548 shall look 7200 at the raw 2416a flesh 1320, and he shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; the raw 2416a flesh 1320 is unclean 2931, it is leprosy 6883.

 13:16 “Or 176 if 3588 the raw 2416a flesh 1320 turns 7725 again 7725 and is changed 2015 to white 3836, then he shall come 935 to the priest 3548,

 13:17 and the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at him, and behold 2009, [if] the infection 5061 has turned 2015 to white 3836, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2891 clean 2891 [him who has] the infection 5061; he is clean 2889.

 13:18 ¶ “When 3588 the body 1320 has 1961 a boil 7822 on its skin 5785 and it is healed 7495,

 13:19 and in the place 4725 of the boil 7822 there is a white 3836 swelling 7613 or 176 a reddish-white 125, bright 934 spot 934, then it shall be shown 7200 to the priest 3548;

 13:20 and the priest 3548 shall look 7200, and behold 2009, [if] it appears 4758 to be lower 8217 than 4480 the skin 5785, and the hair 8181 on it has turned 2015 white 3836, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; it is the infection 5061 of leprosy 6883, it has broken 6524b out in the boil 7822.

 13:21 “But if 518 the priest 3548 looks 7200 at it, and behold 2009, there 369 are no 369 white 3836 hairs 8181 in it and it is not lower 8217 than 4480 the skin 5785 and is faded 3544, then the priest 3548 shall isolate 5462 him for seven 7651 days 3117;

 13:22 and if 518 it spreads 6581 farther 6581 on the skin 5785, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; it is an infection 5061.

 13:23 “But if 518 the bright 934 spot 934 remains 5975 in its place 8478 and does not spread 6581, it is [only] the scar 6867 of the boil 7822; and the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2891 him clean 2891.

 13:24 ¶ “Or 176 if 3588 the body 1320 sustains 1961 in its skin 5785 a burn 4348 by fire 784, and the raw 4241 [flesh] of the burn 4348 becomes 1961 a bright 934 spot 934, reddish-white 125, or 176 white 3836,

 13:25 then the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at it. And if 2009 the hair 8181 in the bright 934 spot 934 has turned 2015 white 3836 and it appears 4758 to be deeper 6013 than 4480 the skin 5785, it is leprosy 6883; it has broken 6524b out in the burn 4348. Therefore, the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; it is an infection 5061 of leprosy 6883.

 13:26 “But if 518 the priest 3548 looks 7200 at it, and indeed 2009, there 369 is no 369 white 3836 hair 8181 in the bright 934 spot 934 and it is no 369 deeper 8217 than 4480 the skin 5785, but is dim 3544, then the priest 3548 shall isolate 5462 him for seven 7651 days 3117;

 13:27 and the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at him on the seventh 7637 day 3117. If 518 it spreads 6581 farther 6581 in the skin 5785, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; it is an infection 5061 of leprosy 6883.

 13:28 “But if 518 the bright 934 spot 934 remains 5975 in its place 8478 and has not spread 6581 in the skin 5785, but is dim 3544, it is the swelling 7613 from the burn 4348; and the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2891 him clean 2891, for it is [only] the scar 6867 of the burn 4348.

 13:29 ¶ “Now if 3588 a man 376 or 176 woman 802 has 1961 an infection 5061 on the head 7218 or 176 on the beard 2206,

 13:30 then the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at the infection 5061, and if 2009 it appears 4758 to be deeper 6013 than 4480 the skin 5785 and there is thin 1851 yellowish 6669 hair 8181 in it, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; it is a scale 5424, it is leprosy 6883 of the head 7218 or 176 of the beard 2206.

 13:31 “But if 3588 the priest 3548 looks 7200 at the infection 5061 of the scale 5424, and indeed 2009, it appears 4758 to be no 369 deeper 6013 than 4480 the skin 5785 and there 369 is no 369 black 7838 hair 8181 in it, then the priest 3548 shall isolate 5462 [the person] with the scaly 5424 infection 5061 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 13:32 “On the seventh 7637 day 3117 the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at the infection 5061, and if 2009 the scale 5424 has not spread 6581 and no 3808 yellowish 6669 hair 8181 has grown 1961 in it, and the appearance 4758 of the scale 5424 is no 369 deeper 6013 than 4480 the skin 5785,

 13:33 then he shall shave 1548 himself, but he shall not shave 1548 the scale 5424; and the priest 3548 shall isolate 5462 [the person] with the scale 5424 seven 7651 more 8145 days 3117.

 13:34 “Then on the seventh 7637 day 3117 the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at the scale 5424, and if 2009 the scale 5424 has not spread 6581 in the skin 5785 and it appears 4758 to be no 369 deeper 6013 than 4480 the skin 5785, the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2891 him clean 2891; and he shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b and be clean 2891.

 13:35 “But if 518 the scale 5424 spreads 6581 farther 6581 in the skin 5785 after 310 his cleansing 2893,

 13:36 then the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at him, and if 2009 the scale 5424 has spread 6581 in the skin 5785, the priest 3548 need not seek 1239 for the yellowish 6669 hair 8181; he is unclean 2931.

 13:37 “If 518 in his sight 5869 the scale 5424 has remained 5975, however, and black 7838 hair 8181 has grown 6779 in it, the scale 5424 has healed 7495, he is clean 2889; and the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2891 him clean 2891.

 13:38 ¶ “When 3588 a man 376 or 176 a woman 802 has 1961 bright 934 spots 934 on the skin 5785 of the body 1320, [even] white 3836 bright 934 spots 934,

 13:39 then the priest 3548 shall look 7200, and if 2009 the bright 934 spots 934 on the skin 5785 of their bodies 1320 are a faint 3544 white 3836, it is eczema 933 that has broken 6524b out on the skin 5785; he is clean 2889.

 13:40 ¶ “Now if 3588 a man 376 loses 4803 the hair 4803 of his head 7218, he is bald 7142; he is clean 2889.

 13:41 “If 518 his head 7218 becomes 4803 bald 4803 at the front 6440 and sides 6285, he is bald 1371 on the forehead 1371; he is clean 2889.

 13:42 “But if 3588 on the bald 7146 head 7146 or 176 the bald 1372 forehead 1372, there occurs 1961 a reddish-white 125 infection 5061, it is leprosy 6883 breaking 6524b out on his bald 7146 head 7146 or 176 on his bald 1372 forehead 1372.

 13:43 “Then the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at him; and if 2009 the swelling 7613 of the infection 5061 is reddish-white 125 on his bald 1372 head 7146 or 176 on his bald 1372 forehead 1372, like the appearance 4758 of leprosy 6883 in the skin 5785 of the body 1320,

 13:44 he is a leprous 6879 man 376, he is unclean 2931. The priest 3548 shall surely 2930 pronounce 2930 him unclean 2930; his infection 5061 is on his head 7218.

 13:45 ¶ “As for the leper 6879 who 834 has the infection 5061, his clothes 899b shall be torn 6533, and the hair of his head 7218 shall be uncovered 6544a, and he shall cover 5844a his mustache 8222 and cry 7121, ‘Unclean 2931! Unclean 2931!’

 13:46 “He shall remain 2930 unclean 2930 all 3605 the days 3117 during which 834 he has the infection 5061; he is unclean 2931. He shall live 3427 alone 910; his dwelling 4186 shall be outside 4480 2351 the camp 4264.

 13:47 ¶ “When 3588 a garment 899b has 1961 a mark 5061 of leprosy 6883 in it, whether it is a wool 6785 garment 899b or 176 a linen 6593 garment 899b,

 13:48 whether 176 in warp 8359 or 176 woof 6154b, of linen 6593 or 176 of wool 6785, whether 176 in leather 5785 or 176 in any 3605 article 4399 made 4399 of leather 5785,

 13:49 if the mark 5061 is greenish 3422 or 176 reddish 125 in the garment 899b or 176 in the leather 5785, or 176 in the warp 8359 or 176 in the woof 6154b, or 176 in any 3605 article 3627 of leather 5785, it is a leprous 6883 mark 5061 and shall be shown 7200 to the priest 3548.

 13:50 “Then the priest 3548 shall look 7200 at the mark 5061 and shall quarantine 5462 the article with the mark 5061 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 13:51 “He shall then look 7200 at the mark 5061 on the seventh 7637 day 3117; if 3588 the mark 5061 has spread 6581 in the garment 899b, whether 176 in the warp 8359 or 176 in the woof 6154b, or 176 in the leather 5785, whatever 3605 the purpose 4399 for which 834 the leather 5785 is used 4399, the mark 5061 is a leprous 6883 malignancy 3992, it is unclean 2931.

 13:52 “So he shall burn 8313 the garment 899b, whether 176 the warp 8359 or 176 the woof 6154b, in wool 6785 or 176 in linen 6593, or 176 any 3605 article 3627 of leather 5785 in which 834 the mark 5061 occurs 1961, for it is a leprous 6883 malignancy 3992; it shall be burned 8313 in the fire 784.

 13:53 ¶ “But if 518 the priest 3548 shall look 7200, and indeed 2009 the mark 5061 has not spread 6581 in the garment 899b, either 176 in the warp 8359 or 176 in the woof 6154b, or 176 in any 3605 article 3627 of leather 5785,

 13:54 then the priest 3548 shall order 6680 them to wash 3526 the thing in which 834 the mark 5061 occurs and he shall quarantine 5462 it for seven 7651 more 8145 days 3117.

 13:55 “After 310 the article with the mark 5061 has been washed 3526, the priest 3548 shall again 310 look 7200, and if 2009 the mark 5061 has not changed 2015 its appearance 5869, even though the mark 5061 has not spread 6581, it is unclean 2931; you shall burn 8313 it in the fire 784, whether an eating 6356 away 6356 has produced bareness 7146 1372 on the top 7146 or 176 on the front 1372 of it.

 13:56 ¶ “Then if 518 the priest 3548 looks 7200, and if 2009 the mark 5061 has faded 3544 after 310 it has been washed 3526, then he shall tear 7167 it out of the garment 899b or 176 out of the leather 5785, whether 176 from the warp 8359 or 176 from the woof 6154b;

 13:57 and if 518 it appears 7200 again 5750 in the garment 899b, whether 176 in the warp 8359 or 176 in the woof 6154b, or 176 in any 3605 article 3627 of leather 5785, it is an outbreak 6524b; the article with the mark 5061 shall be burned 8313 in the fire 784.

 13:58 “The garment 899b, whether 176 the warp 8359 or 176 the woof 6154b, or 176 any 3605 article 3627 of leather 5785 from which 1992a the mark 5061 has departed 5493 when you washed 3526 it, it shall then be washed 3526 a second 8145 time 8145 and will be clean 2891.”

 13:59 ¶ This 2088 is the law 8451 for the mark 5061 of leprosy 6883 in a garment 899b of wool 6785 or 176 linen 6593, whether 176 in the warp 8359 or 176 in the woof 6154b, or 176 in any 3605 article 3627 of leather 5785, for pronouncing 2891 it clean 2891 or 176 unclean 2930.
