Leviticus 14

1 The rites and sacrifices in cleansing of the leper. 33 The signs of leprosy in a house. 48 The cleansing of that house.

 14:1 Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872, saying 559,

 14:2 “This 2088 shall be the law 8451 of the leper 6879 in the day 3117 of his cleansing 2893. Now he shall be brought 935 to the priest 3548,

 14:3 and the priest 3548 shall go 3318 out to the outside 4480 2351 of the camp 4264. Thus the priest 3548 shall look 7200, and if 2009 the infection 5061 of leprosy 6883 has been healed 7495 in the leper 6879,

 14:4 then the priest 3548 shall give 6680 orders 6680 to take 3947 two 8147 live 2416a clean 2889 birds 6833 and cedar 730 wood 6086 and a scarlet 8144 string 8439b and hyssop 231 for the one who is to be cleansed 2891.

 14:5 “The priest 3548 shall also give 6680 orders 6680 to slay 7819 the one 259 bird 6833 in an earthenware 2789 vessel 3627 over 5921 running 2416a water 4325.

 14:6 “[As for] the live 2416a bird 6833, he shall take 3947 it together with the cedar 730 wood 6086 and the scarlet 8144 string 8439b and the hyssop 231, and shall dip 2881 them and the live 2416a bird 6833 in the blood 1818 of the bird 6833 that was slain 7819 over 5921 the running 2416a water 4325.

 14:7 “He shall then sprinkle 5137a seven 7651 times 6471 the one who is to be cleansed 2891 from the leprosy 6883 and shall pronounce 2891 him clean 2891, and shall let the live 2416a bird 6833 go 7971 free 7971 over 5921 the open 6440 field 7704.

 14:8 “The one to be cleansed 2891 shall then wash 3526 his clothes 899b and shave 1548 off 1548 all 3605 his hair 8181 and bathe 7364 in water 4325 and be clean 2891. Now afterward 310, he may enter 935 the camp 4264, but he shall stay 3427 outside 4480 2351 his tent 168 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 14:9 “It will be on the seventh 7637 day 3117 that he shall shave 1548 off 1548 all 3605 his hair 8181: he shall shave 1548 his head 7218 and his beard 2206 and his eyebrows 5869 1354, even all 3605 his hair 8181. He shall then wash 3526 his clothes 899b and bathe 7364 his body 1320 in water 4325 and be clean 2891.

 14:10 ¶ “Now on the eighth 8066 day 3117 he is to take 3947 two 8147 male 3532 lambs 3532 without 8549 defect 8549, and a yearling 8141 ewe 3535 lamb 3535 without 8549 defect 8549, and three-tenths 7969 6241 [of an] [ephah] of fine 5560 flour 5560 mixed 1101a with oil 8081 for a grain offering 4503, and one 259 log 3849 of oil 8081;

 14:11 and the priest 3548 who pronounces 2891 him clean 2891 shall present 5975 the man 376 to be cleansed 2891 and the aforesaid before 6440 the LORD 3068 at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150.

 14:12 “Then the priest 3548 shall take 3947 the one 259 male 3532 lamb 3532 and bring 7126 it for a guilt 817 offering 817, with the log 3849 of oil 8081, and present 5130 them as a wave 8573 offering 8573 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 14:13 “Next he shall slaughter 7819 the male 3532 lamb 3532 in the place 4725 where 834 they slaughter 7819 the sin 2403b offering 2403b and the burnt 5930a offering 5930a, at the place 4725 of the sanctuary 6944—for the guilt 817 offering 817, like the sin 2403b offering 2403b, belongs to the priest 3548; it is most 6944 holy 6944.

 14:14 “The priest 3548 shall then take 3947 some 4480 of the blood 1818 of the guilt 817 offering 817, and the priest 3548 shall put 5414 [it] on the lobe 8571 of the right 3233 ear 241 of the one to be cleansed 2891, and on the thumb 931 of his right 3233 hand 3027 and on the big 931 toe 931 of his right 3233 foot 7272.

 14:15 “The priest 3548 shall also take 3947 some 4480 of the log 3849 of oil 8081, and pour 3332 [it] into his left 8042 palm 3709;

 14:16 the priest 3548 shall then dip 2881 his right-hand 3233 finger 676 into the oil 8081 that is in his left 8042 palm 3709, and with his finger 676 sprinkle 5137a some 4480 of the oil 8081 seven 7651 times 6471 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 14:17 “Of the remaining 3499a oil 8081 which 834 is in his palm 3709, the priest 3548 shall put 5414 some on the right 3233 ear 241 lobe 8571 of the one to be cleansed 2891, and on the thumb 931 of his right 3233 hand 3027, and on the big 931 toe 931 of his right 3233 foot 7272, on the blood 1818 of the guilt 817 offering 817;

 14:18 while the rest 3498 of the oil 8081 that is in the priest’s 3548 palm 3709, he shall put 5414 on the head 7218 of the one to be cleansed 2891. So the priest 3548 shall make 3722a atonement 3722a on his behalf 5921 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 14:19 “The priest 3548 shall next offer 6213a the sin 2403b offering 2403b and make 3722a atonement 3722a for the one to be cleansed 2891 from his uncleanness 2932a. Then afterward 310, he shall slaughter 7819 the burnt 5930a offering 5930a.

 14:20 “The priest 3548 shall offer 5927 up the burnt 5930a offering 5930a and the grain offering 4503 on the altar 4196. Thus the priest 3548 shall make 3722a atonement 3722a for him, and he will be clean 2891.

 14:21 ¶ “But if 518 he is poor 1800b and his means 3027 are insufficient 5381, then he is to take 3947 one 259 male 3532 lamb 3532 for a guilt 817 offering 817 as a wave 8573 offering 8573 to make 3722a atonement 3722a for him, and one-tenth 259 [of an] [ephah] of fine 5560 flour 5560 mixed 1101a with oil 8081 for a grain offering 4503, and a log 3849 of oil 8081,

 14:22 and two 8147 turtledoves 8449 or 176 two 8147 young 1121 pigeons 3123 which 834 are within 5381 his means 3027, the one 259 shall be a sin 2403b offering 2403b and the other 259 a burnt 5930a offering 5930a.

 14:23 “Then the eighth 8066 day 3117 he shall bring 935 them for his cleansing 2893 to the priest 3548, at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150, before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 14:24 “The priest 3548 shall take 3947 the lamb 3532 of the guilt 817 offering 817 and the log 3849 of oil 8081, and the priest 3548 shall offer 5130 them for a wave 8573 offering 8573 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 14:25 “Next he shall slaughter 7819 the lamb 3532 of the guilt 817 offering 817; and the priest 3548 is to take 3947 some 4480 of the blood 1818 of the guilt 817 offering 817 and put 5414 [it] on the lobe 8571 of the right 3233 ear 241 of the one to be cleansed 2891 and on the thumb 931 of his right 3233 hand 3027 and on the big 931 toe 931 of his right 3233 foot 7272.

 14:26 “The priest 3548 shall also pour 3332 some 4480 of the oil 8081 into his left 8042 palm 3709;

 14:27 and with his right-hand 3233 finger 676 the priest 3548 shall sprinkle 5137a some 4480 of the oil 8081 that is in his left 8042 palm 3709 seven 7651 times 6471 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 14:28 “The priest 3548 shall then put 5414 some 4480 of the oil 8081 that is in his palm 3709 on the lobe 8571 of the right 3233 ear 241 of the one to be cleansed 2891, and on the thumb 931 of his right 3233 hand 3027 and on the big 931 toe 931 of his right 3233 foot 7272, on the place 4725 of the blood 1818 of the guilt 817 offering 817.

 14:29 “Moreover, the rest 3498 of the oil 8081 that is in the priest’s 3548 palm 3709 he shall put 5414 on the head 7218 of the one to be cleansed 2891, to make 3722a atonement 3722a on his behalf 5921 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 14:30 “He shall then offer 6213a one 259 of the turtledoves 8449 or 176 young 1121 pigeons 3123, which 834 are within 5381 his means 3027.

 14:31 “[He shall offer] what 834 he can afford 5381 3027, the one 259 for a sin 2403b offering 2403b and the other 259 for a burnt 5930a offering 5930a, together 5921 with the grain offering 4503. So the priest 3548 shall make 3722a atonement 3722a before 6440 the LORD 3068 on behalf 5921 of the one to be cleansed 2891.

 14:32 “This 2088 is the law 8451 [for him] in whom 834 there is an infection 5061 of leprosy 6883, whose 834 means 3027 are limited 5381 for his cleansing 2893.”

 14:33 ¶ The LORD 3068 further spoke 1696 to Moses 4872 and to Aaron 175, saying 559:

 14:34 ¶ “When 3588 you enter 935 the land 776 of Canaan 3667a, which 834 I give 5414 you for a possession 272, and I put 5414 a mark 5061 of leprosy 6883 on a house 1004 in the land 776 of your possession 272,

 14:35 then the one who 834 owns the house 1004 shall come 935 and tell 5046 the priest 3548, saying 559, ‘[Something] like a mark 5061 [of leprosy] has become 7200 visible 7200 to me in the house 1004.’

 14:36 “The priest 3548 shall then command 6680 that they empty 6437 the house 1004 before 2962 the priest 3548 goes 935 in to look 7200 at the mark 5061, so that everything 3605 in the house 1004 need not become 2930 unclean 2930; and afterward 310 3651 the priest 3548 shall go 935 in to look 7200 at the house 1004.

 14:37 “So he shall look 7200 at the mark 5061, and if 2009 the mark 5061 on the walls 7023 of the house 1004 has greenish 3422 or 176 reddish 125 depressions 8258 and appears 4758 deeper 8217 than 4480 the surface 7023,

 14:38 then the priest 3548 shall come 3318 out of the house 1004, to the doorway 6607, and quarantine 5462 the house 1004 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 14:39 “The priest 3548 shall return 7725 on the seventh 7637 day 3117 and make 7200 an inspection 7200. If 2009 the mark 5061 has indeed 2009 spread 6581 in the walls 7023 of the house 1004,

 14:40 then the priest 3548 shall order 6680 them to tear 2502a out the stones 68 with the mark 5061 in them and throw 7993 them away 7993 at an unclean 2931 place 4725 outside 4480 2351 the city 5892b.

 14:41 “He shall have the house 1004 scraped 7106a all 5439 around 5439 inside 4480 1004, and they shall dump 8210 the plaster 6083 that they scrape 7096 off 7096 at an unclean 2931 place 4725 outside 4480 2351 the city 5892b.

 14:42 “Then they shall take 3947 other 312 stones 68 and replace 8478 935 [those] stones 68, and he shall take 3947 other 312 plaster 6083 and replaster 2902 the house 1004.

 14:43 ¶ “If 518, however, the mark 5061 breaks 6524b out again 7725 in the house 1004 after 310 he has torn 2502a out the stones 68 and scraped 7096 the house 1004, and after 310 it has been replastered 2902,

 14:44 then the priest 3548 shall come 935 in and make 7200 an inspection 7200. If 2009 he sees 2009 that the mark 5061 has indeed 2009 spread 6581 in the house 1004, it is a malignant 3992 mark 6883 in the house 1004; it is unclean 2931.

 14:45 “He shall therefore tear 5422 down 5422 the house 1004, its stones 68, and its timbers 6086, and all 3605 the plaster 6083 of the house 1004, and he shall take 3318 [them] outside 413 4480 2351 the city 5892b to an unclean 2931 place 4725.

 14:46 “Moreover, whoever goes 935 into the house 1004 during 3605 the time 3117 that he has quarantined 5462 it, becomes 2930 unclean 2930 until 5704 evening 6153.

 14:47 “Likewise, whoever lies 7901 down 7901 in the house 1004 shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b, and whoever eats 398 in the house 1004 shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b.

 14:48 ¶ “If 518, on the other hand, the priest 3548 comes 935 in and makes 7200 an inspection 7200 and the mark 5061 has not indeed 2009 spread 6581 in the house 1004 after 310 the house 1004 has been replastered 2902, then the priest 3548 shall pronounce 2891 the house 1004 clean 2891 because 3588 the mark 5061 has not reappeared 7495.

 14:49 “To cleanse 2398 the house 1004 then, he shall take 3947 two 8147 birds 6833 and cedar 730 wood 6086 and a scarlet 8144 string 8439b and hyssop 231,

 14:50 and he shall slaughter 7819 the one 259 bird 6833 in an earthenware 2789 vessel 3627 over 5921 running 2416a water 4325.

 14:51 “Then he shall take 3947 the cedar 730 wood 6086 and the hyssop 231 and the scarlet 8144 string 8439b, with the live 2416a bird 6833, and dip 2881 them in the blood 1818 of the slain 7819 bird 6833 as well as in the running 2416a water 4325, and sprinkle 5137a the house 1004 seven 7651 times 6471.

 14:52 “He shall thus cleanse 2398 the house 1004 with the blood 1818 of the bird 6833 and with the running 2416a water 4325, along with the live 2416a bird 6833 and with the cedar 730 wood 6086 and with the hyssop 231 and with the scarlet 8144 string 8439b.

 14:53 “However, he shall let the live 2416a bird 6833 go 7971 free 7971 outside 413 4480 2351 the city 5892b into the open 6440 field 7704. So he shall make 3722a atonement 3722a for the house 1004, and it will be clean 2891.”

 14:54 ¶ This 2088 is the law 8451 for any 3605 mark 5061 of leprosy 6883—even for a scale 5424,

 14:55 and for the leprous 6883 garment 899b or house 1004,

 14:56 and for a swelling 7613, and for a scab 5597, and for a bright 934 spot 934—

 14:57 to teach 3384 when 3117 they are unclean 2931 and when 3117 they are clean 2889. This 2088 is the law 8451 of leprosy 6883.
