1 John 2

1 He comforteth them against the sins of infirmity. 3 Rightly to know God is to keep his Commandments, 9 to love our brethren, 15 and not to love the world. 18 We must beware of seducers: 20 from those deceits the godly are safe, preserved by perserverance in faith, and holiness of life.

 2:1 My little 5040 children 5040, I am writing 1125 these 3778 things 3778 to you so 2443 that you may not sin 264. And if 1437 anyone 5100 sins 264, we have 2192 an Advocate 3875 with the Father 3962, Jesus 2424 Christ 5547 the righteous 1342;

 2:2 and He Himself 846 is the propitiation 2434 for our sins 266; and not for ours 2251 only 3440, but also 2532 for [those of] the whole 3650 world 2889.

 2:3 ¶ By this 3778 we know 1097 that we have come to know 1097 Him, if 1437 we keep 5083 His commandments 1785.

 2:4 The one who says 3004, “I have come to know 1097 Him,” and does not keep 5083 His commandments 1785, is a liar 5583, and the truth 225 is not in him;

 2:5 but whoever 3739 302 keeps 5083 His word 3056, in him the love 26 of God 2316 has truly 230 been perfected 5048. By this 3778 we know 1097 that we are in Him:

 2:6 the one who says 3004 he abides 3306 in Him ought 3784 himself 846 to walk 4043 in the same 3779 manner 3779 as He walked 4043.

 2:7 ¶ Beloved 27, I am not writing 1125 a new 2537 commandment 1785 to you, but an old 3820 commandment 1785 which 3739 you have had 2192 from the beginning 746; the old 3820 commandment 1785 is the word 3056 which 3739 you have heard 191.

 2:8 On the other 3825 hand 3825, I am writing 1125 a new 2537 commandment 1785 to you, which 3739 is true 227 in Him and in you, because 3754 the darkness 4653 is passing 3855 away 3855 and the true 228 Light 5457 is already 2235 shining 5316.

 2:9 The one who says 3004 he is in the Light 5457 and [yet] hates 3404 his brother 80 is in the darkness 4653 until 2193 now 737.

 2:10 The one who loves 25 his brother 80 abides 3306 in the Light 5457 and there is no 3756 cause 4625 for stumbling 4625 in him.

 2:11 But the one who hates 3404 his brother 80 is in the darkness 4653 and walks 4043 in the darkness 4653, and does not know 3609a where 4226 he is going 5217 because 3754 the darkness 4653 has blinded 5186 his eyes 3788.

 2:12 ¶ I am writing 1125 to you, little 5040 children 5040, because 3754 your sins 266 have been forgiven 863 you for His name’s 3686 sake 1223.

 2:13 I am writing 1125 to you, fathers 3962, because 3754 you know 1097 Him who has been from the beginning 746. I am writing 1125 to you, young 3495 men 3495, because 3754 you have overcome 3528 the evil 4190 one 4190. I have written 1125 to you, children 3813, because 3754 you know 1097 the Father 3962.

 2:14 I have written 1125 to you, fathers 3962, because 3754 you know 1097 Him who has been from the beginning 746. I have written 1125 to you, young 3495 men 3495, because 3754 you are strong 2478, and the word 3056 of God 2316 abides 3306 in you, and you have overcome 3528 the evil 4190 one 4190.

 2:15 ¶ Do not love 25 the world 2889 nor 3366 the things in the world 2889. If 1437 anyone 5100 loves 25 the world 2889, the love 26 of the Father 3962 is not in him.

 2:16 For all 3956 that is in the world 2889, the lust 1939 of the flesh 4561 and the lust 1939 of the eyes 3788 and the boastful 212 pride 212 of life 979, is not from the Father 3962, but is from the world 2889.

 2:17 The world 2889 is passing 3855 away 3855, and [also] its lusts 1939; but the one who does 4160 the will 2307 of God 2316 lives 3306 forever 165.

 2:18 ¶ Children 3813, it is the last 2078 hour 5610; and just 2531a as you heard 191 that antichrist 500 is coming 2064, even 2532 now 3568 many 4183 antichrists 500 have appeared 1096; from this 3606 we know 1097 that it is the last 2078 hour 5610.

 2:19 They went 1831 out from us, but they were not [really] of us; for if 1487 they had been 1510 of us, they would have remained 3306 with us; but [they went out], so 2443 that it would be shown 5319 that they all 3956 are not of us.

 2:20 But you have 2192 an anointing 5545 from the Holy 40 One 40, and you all 3956 know 3609a.

 2:21 I have not written 1125 to you because 3754 you do not know 3609a the truth 225, but because 3754 you do know 3609a it, and because 3754 no 3956 3756 lie 5579 is of the truth 225.

 2:22 Who 5101 is the liar 5583 but the one who denies 720 that Jesus 2424 is the Christ 5547? This 3778 is the antichrist 500, the one who denies 720 the Father 3962 and the Son 5207.

 2:23 Whoever 3956 denies 720 the Son 5207 does not have 2192 the Father 3962; the one who confesses 3670 the Son 5207 has 2192 the Father 3962 also 2532.

 2:24 As for you, let that abide 3306 in you which 3739 you heard 191 from the beginning 746. If 1437 what 3739 you heard 191 from the beginning 746 abides 3306 in you, you also 2532 will abide 3306 in the Son 5207 and in the Father 3962.

 2:25 This 3778 is the promise 1860 which 3739 He Himself 846 made 1861 to us: eternal 166 life 2222.

 2:26 ¶ These 3778 things 3778 I have written 1125 to you concerning 4012 those 3588 who are trying to deceive 4105 you.

 2:27 As for you, the anointing 5545 which 3739 you received 2983 from Him abides 3306 in you, and you have 2192 no 3756 need 5532 for anyone 5100 to teach 1321 you; but as His anointing 5545 teaches 1321 you about 4012 all 3956 things 3956, and is true 227 and is not a lie 5579, and just 2531a as it has taught 1321 you, you abide 3306 in Him.

 2:28 ¶ Now 3568, little 5040 children 5040, abide 3306 in Him, so 2443 that when 1437 He appears 5319, we may have 2192 confidence 3954 and not shrink 153 away 575 from Him in shame 153 at His coming 3952.

 2:29 If 1437 you know 3609a that He is righteous 1342, you know 1097 that everyone 3956 also 2532 who practices 4160 righteousness 1343 is born 1080 of Him.
