In the twelfth year, in the tenth month, on the first [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, |

Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and prophesy against him, and against the whole of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}: |

and say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, that says, The rivers are mine, and I made them. |

Adonai°
Yahweh;°
Behold,°
I [am] against°
thee, Pharaoh°
king°
of Egypt,°
the great°
dragon°
that lieth°°
in the midst°
of his rivers,°
which°
hath said,°°
My river°
[is] mine own, and I°
have made°°
[it] for myself. |

And I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy river to stick to thy sides, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy river: |

and I will cause the fish°
of thy rivers°
to stick°°
unto thy scales,°
and I will bring thee up°°
out of the midst°°
of thy rivers,°
and all°
the fish°
of thy rivers°
shall stick°°
unto thy scales.° |

and I will quickly cast down thee and all the fish of thy river: thou shalt fall on the face of the plain, and shalt by no means be gathered, and shalt not be brought together: I have given thee for food to the wild beasts of the earth and to the fowls of the sky. |

And I will leave°°
thee [thrown] into the wilderness,°
thee and all°
the fish°
of thy rivers:°
thou shalt fall°°
upon°
the open°
fields;°
thou shalt not°
be brought together,°°
nor°
gathered:°°
I have given°°
thee for meat°
to the beasts°
of the field°
and to the fowls°
of the heaven.° |

And all the dwellers in Mizraim{gr.Egypt} shall know that I am the Lord, because thou hast been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. |

they have been°
a staff°
of reed°
to the house°
of Israel.° |

When they took hold of thee with their hand, thou didst break: and when every hand was clapped against them, and when they leaned on thee, thou wast utterly broken, and didst crush the loins of them all. |

Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I [will] bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast; |

upon°
thee, and cut off°°
man°
and beast°
out of°
thee. |

and the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} shall be ruined and desert; and they shall know that I am the Lord; because thou sayest, The rivers are mine, and I made them. |

And the land°
of Egypt°
shall be°
desolate°
and waste;°
and they shall know°°
that°
I°
[am] Yahweh:°
because°
he hath said,°°
The river°
[is] mine, and I°
have made°°
[it]. |

29:10
Therefore, behold, I am against thee, and against all thy rivers, and I will give up the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} to desolation, and the sword, and destruction, from Migdol{gr.Magdol} and Syene even to the borders of the Ethiopians. |

waste°°
[and] desolate,°
from the tower°°
of Syene°
even unto°
the border°
of Ethiopia.° |

No foot of man shall pass through it, and no foot of beast shall pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited for forty years. |

it, neither°
shall it be inhabited°°

And I will cause her land to be utterly destroyed in the midst of a land that is desolate, and her cities shall be [desolate] forty years in the midst of cities that are desolate: and I will disperse Mizraim{gr.Egypt} among the nations, and will utterly scatter them into the countries. |

the land°
of Egypt°

in the midst°
of the countries°
[that are] desolate,°°
and her cities°
among°
the cities°
[that are] laid waste°°
shall be°
desolate°
forty°
years:°
and I will scatter°°°
the Egyptians°
among the nations,°
and will disperse°°
them through the countries.° |

Thus saith the Lord; After forty years I will gather the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} from the nations among whom they have been scattered; |

Yet°
thus°
saith°°
Adonai°
Yahweh;°
At the end°°
of forty°
years°
will I gather°°°
the Egyptians°
from°
the people°
whither°°
they were scattered:°° |

and I will turn the captivity of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}, and will cause them to dwell in the land of Phathore, in the land whence they were taken; |

And I will bring again°°°
the captivity°
of Egypt,°
and will cause them to return°°
[into] the land°
of Pathros,°
into°
the land°
of their habitation;°
and they shall be°
there°
a base°
kingdom.° |

and it shall be a base kingdom beyond all [other] kingdoms; it shall not any more be exalted over the nations; and I will make them few in number, that they may not be [great] among the nations. |

It shall be°
the basest°
of°
the kingdoms;°
neither°
shall it exalt°°
itself°
any more°
above°
the nations:°
for I will diminish°°
them, that they shall no more°
rule°°
over the nations.° |

29:16
And they shall no more be to the house of Israel a confidence bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they follow after them; and they shall know that I am the Lord. |

And it shall be°

the confidence°
of the house°
of Israel,°
which bringeth°°
[their] iniquity°
to remembrance,°°°
when they shall look°°
after°
them: but they shall know°°
that°
I°
[am] Adonai°

And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, on the first [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, |

the word°
of Yahweh°
came°
unto°

Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar{gr.Nabuchodonosor} king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre; every head was bald, and every shoulder peeled; yet there was no reward to him or to his army [serving] against Tyre, nor for the service wherewith they served against it. |

Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I [will] give to Nebuchadnezzar{gr.Nabuchodonosor} king of Babylon the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and he shall take the plunder thereof, and seize the spoils thereof; and [it] shall be a reward for his army. |

of Egypt°
unto Nebuchadrezzar°
king°
of Babylon;°
and he shall take°°
her multitude,°
and take°°
her spoil,°

her prey;°
and it shall be°
the wages°
for his army.° |

In return for his service wherewith he served against Tyre, I have given him the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}; thus saith the Lord God: |

they wrought°°
for me, saith°°

In that day shall a horn spring forth for all the house of Israel, and I will give thee an open mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the Lord. |

will I cause°°
the horn°
of the house°
of Israel°
to bud forth,°°
and I will give°°
thee the opening°
of the mouth°
in the midst°
of them; and they shall know°°
that°
I°
