10:1 ¶
And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, Go in to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}: for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that these signs may come upon them; in order |
|
10:1 ¶
And Yahweh°
said°°
unto°
Moses,°
Go°°
in°
unto°
Pharaoh:°
for°
I°
have hardened°°°
his heart,°
and the heart°
of his servants,°
that°
I might shew°°
these°
my signs°
before°
him: |
10:2
that ye may relate in the ears of your children, and to your children's children, in how many things I have mocked the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}, and my wonders which I wrought among them; and ye shall know that I [am] the Lord. |
|
10:2
And that°
thou mayest tell°°
in the ears°
of thy son,°
and of thy son's°
son,°°
what things°
I have wrought°°
in Egypt,°
and my signs°
which°
I have done°°
among them; that ye may know°°
how that°
I°
[am] Yahweh.° |
10:3
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron went in before Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and they said to him, These things saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, How long dost thou refuse to reverence me? Send my people away, that they may serve me. |
|
10:3
And Moses°
and Aaron°
came in°°
unto°
Pharaoh,°
and said°°
unto°
him, Thus°
saith°°
Yahweh°
Elohim°
of the Hebrews,°
How long°°
wilt thou refuse°°
to humble°°
thyself°
before°°
me? let my people°
go,°°
that they may serve°°
me. |
10:4
But if thou wilt not send my people away, behold, at this hour to-morrow I will bring an abundance of locusts upon all thy coasts. |
|
10:4
Else,°
if°
thou°
refuse°
to let°
my people°
go,°°
behold,°
to morrow°
will I bring°°
the locusts°
into thy coast:° |
10:5
And they shall cover the face of the earth, and thou shalt not be able to see the earth; and they shall devour all that is left of the abundance of the earth, which the hail has left you, and shall devour every tree that grows for you on the land. |
|
10:5
And they shall cover°°°
the face°
of the earth,°
that one cannot°
be able°°
to see°°°
the earth:°
and they shall eat°°°
the residue°
of that which is escaped,°
which remaineth°°
unto you from°
the hail,°
and shall eat°°°
every°
tree°
which groweth°°
for you out of°
the field:° |
10:6
And thy houses shall be filled, and the houses of thy servants, and all the houses in all the land of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}; things which thy fathers have never seen, nor their forefathers, from the day that they were upon the earth until this day. And Mosheh{gr.Moses} turned away and departed from Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}. |
|
10:6
And they shall fill°°
thy houses,°
and the houses°
of all°
thy servants,°
and the houses°
of all°
the Egyptians;°
which°
neither°
thy fathers,°
nor thy fathers'°
fathers°
have seen,°°
since the day°°
that they were°
upon°
the earth°
unto°
this°
day.°
And he turned°°
himself, and went out°°
from°°
Pharaoh.° |
10:7
And the servants of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} say to him, How long shall this be a snare to us? send away the men, that they may serve their God; wilt thou know that Mizraim{gr.Egypt} is destroyed? |
|
10:7
And Pharaoh's°
servants°
said°°
unto°
him, How long°°
shall this man°
be°
a snare°
unto us? let°
the men°°
go,°°
that they may serve°°°
Yahweh°
their Elohim:°
knowest°°
thou not yet°
that°
Egypt°
is destroyed?°° |
10:8
And they brought back both Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}; and he said to them, Go and serve the Lord your God; but who are they that are going with you? |
|
10:8
And°
Moses°
and Aaron°
were brought again°°
unto°
Pharaoh:°
and he said°°
unto°
them, Go,°°°
serve°°°
Yahweh°
your Elohim:°
[but] who°
[are] they that shall go?°° |
10:9
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} said, We will go with the young and the old, with our sons, and daughters, and sheep, and oxen, for it is a feast of the Lord. |
|
10:9
And Moses°
said,°°
We will go°°°
with our young°
and with our old,°
with our sons°
and with our daughters,°
with our flocks°
and with our herds°
will we go;°°°
for°
we [must hold] a feast°
unto Yahweh.° |
10:10
And he said to them, So let the Lord be with you: as I [will] send you away, [must I send away] you store also? see that evil is attached to you. |
|
10:10
And he said°°
unto°
them, Let Yahweh°
be°
so°
with°
you, as°
I will let you go,°°
and your little ones:°
look°°
[to it]; for°
evil°
[is] before°°
you. |
10:11
Not so, but let the men go and serve God, for this ye yourselves seek; and they cast them out from the presence of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}. |
|
10:11
Not°
so:°
go°°°
now°
ye [that are] men,°
and serve°°°
Yahweh;°
for°
that ye°
did desire.°°
And they were driven out°°
from°°
Pharaoh's°
presence.° |
10:12 ¶
And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and let the locust come up on the land, and it shall devour every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees, which the hail left. |
|
10:12 ¶
And Yahweh°
said°°
unto°
Moses,°
Stretch out°°
thine hand°
over°
the land°
of Egypt°
for the locusts,°
that they may come up°°
upon°
the land°
of Egypt,°
and eat°°°
every°
herb°
of the land,°
[even]°
all°
that°
the hail°
hath left.°° |
10:13
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} lifted up his rod towards heaven, and the Lord brought a south wind upon the earth, all that day and all that night: the morning dawned, and the south wind brought up the locusts, |
|
10:13
And Moses°
stretched forth°°°
his rod°
over°
the land°
of Egypt,°
and Yahweh°
brought°°
an east°
wind°
upon the land°
all°
that°
day,°
and all°
[that] night;°
[and] when it was°
morning,°
the east°
wind°
brought°°°
the locusts.° |
10:14
and brought them up over all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}. And they rested in very great abundance over all the borders of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}. Before them there were not such locusts, neither after them shall there be. |
|
10:14
And the locusts°
went up°°
over°
all°
the land°
of Egypt,°
and rested°°
in all°
the coasts°
of Egypt:°
very°
grievous°
[were they]; before°
them there were°
no°
such°
locusts°
as they, neither°
after°
them shall be°
such.° |
10:15
And they covered the face of the earth, and the land was wasted, and they devoured all the herbage of the land, and all the fruit of the trees, which was left by the hail: there was no green thing left on the trees, nor on all the herbage of the field, in all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}. |
|
10:15
For they covered°°°
the face°
of the whole°
earth,°
so that the land°
was darkened;°°
and they did eat°°°
every°
herb°
of the land,°
and all°
the fruit°
of the trees°
which°
the hail°
had left:°°
and there remained°°
not°
any°
green thing°
in the trees,°
or in the herbs°
of the field,°
through all°
the land°
of Egypt.° |
10:16 ¶
And Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} hasted to call Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron, saying, I have sinned before the Lord your God, and against you; |
|
10:16 ¶
Then Pharaoh°
called°°
for Moses°
and Aaron°
in haste;°°
and he said,°°
I have sinned°°
against Yahweh°
your Elohim,°
and against you. |
10:17
pardon therefore my sin yet this time, and pray to the Lord your God, and let him take away from me this death. |
|
10:17
Now°
therefore forgive,°°
I pray thee,°
my sin°
only°
this once,°
and intreat°°
Yahweh°
your Elohim,°
that he may take away°°
from°°
me this°°
death°
only.° |
10:18
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} went forth from Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and prayed to God. |
|
10:18
And he went out°°
from°°
Pharaoh,°
and intreated°°°
Yahweh.° |
10:19
And the Lord brought in the opposite direction a strong wind from the sea, and took up the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea, and there was not one locust left in all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}. |
|
10:19
And Yahweh°
turned°°
a mighty°
strong°
west°
wind,°
which took away°°°
the locusts,°
and cast°°
them into the Red°
sea;°
there remained°°
not°
one°
locust°
in all°
the coasts°
of Egypt.° |
10:20
And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and he did not send away the children of Israel. |
|
10:20
But Yahweh°
hardened°°°
Pharaoh's°
heart,°
so that he would not°
let°
the children°
of Israel°
go.°° |
10:21 ¶
And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Stretch out thy hand to heaven, and let there be darkness over the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}-- darkness that may be felt. |
|
10:21 ¶
And Yahweh°
said°°
unto°
Moses,°
Stretch out°°
thine hand°
toward°
heaven,°
that there may be°
darkness°
over°
the land°
of Egypt,°
even darkness°
[which] may be felt.°° |
10:22
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} stretched out his hand to heaven, and there was darkness very black, even a storm over all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} three days. |
|
10:22
And Moses°
stretched forth°°°
his hand°
toward°
heaven;°
and there was°
a thick°
darkness°
in all°
the land°
of Egypt°
three°
days:° |
10:23
And for three days no man saw his brother, and no man rose up from his bed for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in all the places where they were. |
|
10:23
They saw°°
not°
one°°
another,°
neither°
rose°°
any°
from his place°°
for three°
days:°
but all°
the children°
of Israel°
had°
light°
in their dwellings.° |
10:24 ¶
And Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} called Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron, saying, Go, serve the Lord your God, only leave your sheep and your oxen, and let your store depart with you. |
|
10:24 ¶
And Pharaoh°
called°°
unto°
Moses,°
and said,°°
Go°°°
ye, serve°°°
Yahweh;°
only°
let your flocks°
and your herds°
be stayed:°°
let your little ones°
also°
go°°°
with°
you. |
10:25
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} said, Nay, but thou shalt give to us whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices, which we will sacrifice to the Lord our God. |
|
10:25
And Moses°
said,°°
Thou°
must give°°
us°
also°
sacrifices°
and burnt offerings,°
that we may sacrifice°°
unto Yahweh°
our Elohim.° |
10:26
And our cattle shall go with us, and we will not leave a hoof behind, for of them we will take to serve the Lord our God: but we know not in what manner we shall serve the Lord our God, until we arrive there. |
|
10:26
Our cattle°
also°
shall go°°°
with°
us; there shall not°
an hoof°
be left behind;°°
for°
thereof°
must we take°°
to serve°°°
Yahweh°
our Elohim;°
and we°
know°°
not°
with what°
we must serve°°°
Yahweh,°
until°
we come°°
thither.° |
10:27 ¶
But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and he would not let them go. |
|
10:27 ¶
But Yahweh°
hardened°°°
Pharaoh's°
heart,°
and he would°°
not°
let them go.°° |
10:28
And Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} says, Depart from me, beware of seeing my face again, for in what day thou shalt appear before me, thou shalt die. |
|
10:28
And Pharaoh°
said°°
unto him, Get°°°
thee from°°
me, take heed°°
to thyself, see°°
my face°
no°
more;°°
for°
in [that] day°
thou seest°°
my face°
thou shalt die.°° |
10:29
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} says, Thou hast said, I will not appear in thy presence again. |
|
10:29
And Moses°
said,°°
Thou hast spoken°°
well,°
I will see°°
thy face°
again°°
no°
more.° |
