1 The borders of the lot of Judah. 13 Caleb's portion and conquest. 16 Othniel, for his valour, hath Achsah, Caleb's daughter, to wife. 18 She obtaineth a blessing of her father. 21 The cities of Judah. 63 The Jebusites not conquered.

 15:1 Now the lot 1486 for the tribe 4294 of the sons 1121 of Judah 3063 according to their families 4940 reached 1961 the border 1366 of Edom 112b, southward 5045 to the wilderness 4057b of Zin 6790 at the extreme 7097a south 8486.

 15:2 Their south 5045 border 1366 was from the lower end 7097a of the Salt 4417 Sea 3220, from the bay 3956 that turns 6437 to the south 5045.

 15:3 Then it proceeded 3318 southward 5045 to the ascent 4610 of Akrabbim 4610 and continued 5674a to Zin 6790, then went 5927 up by the south 5045 of Kadesh-barnea 6947 and continued 5674a to Hezron 2696, and went 5927 up to Addar 146 and turned 5437 about 5437 to Karka 7173.

 15:4 It continued 5674a to Azmon 6111 and proceeded 3318 to the brook 5158a of Egypt 4714, and the border 1366 ended 1961 8444 at the sea 3220. This 2088 shall be your south 5045 border 1366.

 15:5 The east 6924b border 1366 [was] the Salt 4417 Sea 3220, as far 5704 as the mouth 7097a of the Jordan 3383. And the border 1366 of the north 6828 side 6285 was from the bay 3956 of the sea 3220 at the mouth 7097a of the Jordan 3383.

 15:6 Then the border 1366 went 5927 up to Beth-hoglah 1031, and continued 5674a on the north 6828 of Beth-arabah 1026, and the border 1366 went 5927 up to the stone 68 of Bohan 932 the son 1121 of Reuben 7205.

 15:7 The border 1366 went 5927 up to Debir 1688 from the valley 6010 of Achor 5911, and turned 6437 northward 6828 toward 413 Gilgal 1537 which 834 is opposite 5227 the ascent 4608 of Adummim 131, which 834 is on the south 5045 of the valley 5158a; and the border 1366 continued 5674a to the waters 4325 of En-shemesh 5885 and it ended 1961 8444 at En-rogel 5883.

 15:8 Then the border 1366 went 5927 up the valley 1516 of Ben-hinnom 1121 2011 to the slope 3802 of the Jebusite 2983 on the south 5045 (that is, Jerusalem 3389); and the border 1366 went 5927 up to the top 7218 of the mountain 2022 which 834 is before 5921 6440 the valley 1516 of Hinnom 2011 to the west 3220, which 834 is at the end 7097a of the valley 6010 of Rephaim 7497 toward the north 6828.

 15:9 From the top 7218 of the mountain 2022 the border 1366 curved 8388a to the spring 4599 of the waters 4325 of Nephtoah 5318 and proceeded 3318 to the cities 5892b of Mount 2022 Ephron 6085, then the border 1366 curved 8388a to Baalah 1173 (that is, Kiriath-jearim 7157).

 15:10 The border 1366 turned 5437 about 5437 from Baalah 1173 westward 3220 to Mount 2022 Seir 8165, and continued 5674a to the slope 3802 of Mount 2022 Jearim 3297 on the north 6828 (that is, Chesalon 3693), and went 3381 down 3381 to Beth-shemesh 1053 and continued 5674a through 5674a Timnah 8553.

 15:11 The border 1366 proceeded 3318 to the side 3802 of Ekron 6138 northward 6828. Then the border 1366 curved 8388a to Shikkeron 7942 and continued 5674a to Mount 2022 Baalah 1173 and proceeded 3318 to Jabneel 2995, and the border 1366 ended 1961 8444 at the sea 3220.

 15:12 The west 3220 border 1366 [was] at the Great 1419 Sea 3220, even [its] coastline 1366. This 2088 is the border 1366 around 5439 the sons 1121 of Judah 3063 according to their families 4940.

 15:15 Then he went 5927 up from there 8033 against 413 the inhabitants 3427 of Debir 1688; now the name 8034 of Debir 1688 formerly 6440 was Kiriath-sepher 7158.

 15:16 And Caleb 3612 said 559, “The one who 834 attacks 5221 Kiriath-sepher 7158 and captures 3920 it, I will give 5414 him Achsah 5915 my daughter 1323 as a wife 802.”

 15:17 Othniel 6274 the son 1121 of Kenaz 7073, the brother 251 of Caleb 3612, captured 3920 it; so he gave 5414 him Achsah 5915 his daughter 1323 as a wife 802.

 15:18 It came 1961 about that when she came 935 [to him], she persuaded 5496 him to ask 7592 her father 1 for a field 7704. So she alighted 6795 from the donkey 2543, and Caleb 3612 said 559 to her, “What 4100 do you want?”

 15:19 Then she said 559, “Give 5414 me a blessing 1293; since 3588 you have given 5414 me the land 776 of the Negev 5045, give 5414 me also springs 1543 of water 4325.” So he gave 5414 her the upper 5942 springs 1543 and the lower 8482 springs 1543.

 15:63 ¶ Now as for the Jebusites 2983, the inhabitants 3427 of Jerusalem 3389, the sons 1121 of Judah 3063 could 3201 not drive 3423 them out; so the Jebusites 2983 live 3427 with the sons 1121 of Judah 3063 at Jerusalem 3389 until 5704 this 2088 day 3117.
