John 14

1 Christ comforteth his disciples with the hope of heaven: 6 professeth himself the way, the truth, and the life, and one with the Father: 13 assureth their prayers in his name to be effectual: 15 requesteth love and obedience: 16 promiseth the Holy Ghost the Comforter, 27 and leaveth his peace with them.

 14:1 “Do not let your heart 2588 be troubled 5015; believe 4100 in God 2316, believe 4100 also 2532 in Me.

 14:2 “In My Father’s 3962 house 3614 are many 4183 dwelling 3438 places 3438; if 1487 it were not so, I would have told 3004 you; for I go 4198 to prepare 2090 a place 5117 for you.

 14:3 “If 1437 I go 4198 and prepare 2090 a place 5117 for you, I will come 2064 again 3825 and receive 3880 you to Myself 1683, that where 3699 I am 1510, [there] you may be also 2532.

 14:4 “And you know 3609a the way 3598 where 3699 I am going 5217.”

 14:5 Thomas 2381 *said 3004 to Him, “Lord 2962, we do not know 3609a where 4226 You are going 5217, how 4459 do we know 3609a the way 3598?”

 14:6 Jesus 2424 *said 3004 to him, “I am 1510 the way 3598, and the truth 225, and the life 2222; no 3762 one 3762 comes 2064 to the Father 3962 but through 1223 Me.

 14:7 “If 1487 you had known 1097 Me, you would have known 3609a My Father 3962 also 2532; from now 737 on you know 1097 Him, and have seen 3708 Him.”

 14:8 ¶ Philip 5376 *said 3004 to Him, “Lord 2962, show 1166 us the Father 3962, and it is enough 714 for us.”

 14:9 Jesus 2424 *said 3004 to him, “Have I been 1510 so 5118 long 5118 5550 with you, and [yet] you have not come to know 1097 Me, Philip 5376? He who has seen 3708 Me has seen 3708 the Father 3962; how 4459 [can] you say 3004, ‘Show 1166 us the Father 3962’?

 14:10 “Do you not believe 4100 that I am in the Father 3962, and the Father 3962 is in Me? The words 4487 that I say 3004 to you I do not speak 2980 on My own 1683 initiative 1683, but the Father 3962 abiding 3306 in Me does 4160 His works 2041.

 14:11 “Believe 4100 Me that I am in the Father 3962 and the Father 3962 is in Me; otherwise 1490b believe 4100 because 1223 of the works 2041 themselves 846.

 14:12 “Truly 281, truly 281, I say 3004 to you, he who believes 4100 in Me, the works 2041 that I do 4160, he will do 4160 also 2548; and greater 3173 [works] than these 3778 he will do 4160; because 3754 I go 4198 to the Father 3962.

 14:13 “Whatever 3739 you ask 154 in My name 3686, that will I do 4160, so 2443 that the Father 3962 may be glorified 1392 in the Son 5207.

 14:14 “If 1437 you ask 154 Me anything 5100 in My name 3686, I will do 4160 [it].

 14:15 ¶ “If 1437 you love 25 Me, you will keep 5083 My commandments 1785.

 14:16 “I will ask 2065 the Father 3962, and He will give 1325 you another 243 Helper 3875, that He may be with you forever 165;

 14:17 [that is] the Spirit 4151 of truth 225, whom 3739 the world 2889 cannot 1410 3756 receive 2983, because 3754 it does not see 2334 Him or 3761 know 1097 Him, [but] you know 1097 Him because 3754 He abides 3306 with you and will be in you.

 14:18 ¶ “I will not leave 863 you as orphans 3737; I will come 2064 to you.

 14:19 “After 2089 a little 3398 while 3398 the world 2889 will no 3765 longer 3765 see 2334 Me, but you [will] see 2334 Me; because 3754 I live 2198, you will live 2198 also 2532.

 14:20 “In that day 2250 you will know 1097 that I am in My Father 3962, and you in Me, and I in you.

 14:21 “He who has 2192 My commandments 1785 and keeps 5083 them is the one 1565 who loves 25 Me; and he who loves 25 Me will be loved 25 by My Father 3962, and I will love 25 him and will disclose 1718 Myself 1683 to him.”

 14:22 Judas 2455 (not Iscariot 2469) *said 3004 to Him, “Lord 2962, what 5101 then 2532 has happened 1096 that You are going 3195 to disclose 1718 Yourself 4572 to us and not to the world 2889?”

 14:23 Jesus 2424 answered 611 and said 3004 to him, “If 1437 anyone 5100 loves 25 Me, he will keep 5083 My word 3056; and My Father 3962 will love 25 him, and We will come 2064 to him and make 4160 Our abode 3438 with him.

 14:24 “He who does not love 25 Me does not keep 5083 My words 3056; and the word 3056 which 3739 you hear 191 is not Mine 1699, but the Father’s 3962 who sent 3992 Me.

 14:25 ¶ “These 3778 things 3778 I have spoken 2980 to you while abiding 3306 with you.

 14:26 “But the Helper 3875, the Holy 40 Spirit 4151, whom 3739 the Father 3962 will send 3992 in My name 3686, He will teach 1321 you all 3956 things 3956, and bring 5279 to your remembrance 5279 all 3956 that I said 3004 to you.

 14:27 “Peace 1515 I leave 863 with you; My peace 1515 I give 1325 to you; not as the world 2889 gives 1325 do I give 1325 to you. Do not let your heart 2588 be troubled 5015, nor 3366 let it be fearful 1168.

 14:28 “You heard 191 that I said 3004 to you, ‘I go 5217 away 5217, and I will come 2064 to you.’ If 1487 you loved 25 Me, you would have rejoiced 5463 because 3754 I go 4198 to the Father 3962, for the Father 3962 is greater 3173 than I.

 14:29 “Now 3568 I have told 3004 you before 4250 it happens 1096, so 2443 that when 3752 it happens 1096, you may believe 4100.

 14:30 “I will not speak 2980 much 4183 more 3765 with you, for the ruler 758 of the world 2889 is coming 2064, and he has 2192 nothing 3756 3762 in Me;

 14:31 but so 3779 that the world 2889 may know 1097 that I love 25 the Father 3962, I do 4160 exactly 3779 as the Father 3962 commanded 1781 Me. Get 1453 up, let us go 71 from here 1782.
