 5:1 ¶ Then sang°° Dævôrà דְּבוֹרָה° and Bäräk בָּרָק° the son° of ´Ávînö`am אֲבִינֹעַם° on that° day,° saying,°°

 5:1 ¶ Then sang Devorah and Baraq the son of Avinoam on that day, saying,

 5:2 Praise°° ye Yähwè יָהוֶה° for the avenging°°° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,° when the people° willingly offered°° themselves.°

 5:2 Praise ye Yahweh for the avenging of Yisrael, when the people willingly offered themselves.

 5:3 Hear,°° O ye kings;° give ear,°° O ye princes;°° I,° [even] I,° will sing°° unto Yähwè יָהוֶה;° I will sing°° [praise] to Yähwè יָהוֶה° ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל.°

 5:3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, [even] I, will sing unto Yahweh; I will sing [praise] to Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael.

 5:4 Yähwè יָהוֶה,° when thou wentest out°° of Ŝë`îr שֵׂעִיר,°° when thou marchedst° out°° of the field°° of ´Éđôm אֱדוֹם,° the earth° trembled,°° and° the heavens° dropped,°° the clouds° also° dropped°° water.°

 5:4 Yahweh, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.

 5:5 The mountains° melted°° from before°° Yähwè יָהוֶה,° [even] that° Sînay סִינַי° from before°° Yähwè יָהוֶה° ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל.°

 5:5 The mountains melted from before Yahweh, [even] that Sinay from before Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael.

 5:6 In the days° of Šamgar שַׁמגַּר° the son° of `Ánäŧ עֲנָת,° in the days° of Yä`ël יָעֵל,° the highways° were unoccupied,°° and the travellers°°° walked°°° through byways.°°°

 5:6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Yael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways.

 5:7 [The inhabitants of] the villages° ceased,°° they ceased°° in Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,° until that° I Dævôrà דְּבוֹרָה° arose,°°° that I arose°° a mother° in Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל.°

 5:11 [They that are delivered] from the noise°° of archers°° in° the places of drawing water,° there° shall they rehearse°° the righteous acts° of Yähwè יָהוֶה,° [even] the righteous acts° [toward the inhabitants] of his villages° in Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל:° then° shall the people° of Yähwè יָהוֶה° go down°° to the gates.°

 5:11 [They that are delivered] from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of Yahweh, [even] the righteous acts [toward the inhabitants] of his villages in Yisrael: then shall the people of Yahweh go down to the gates.

 5:12 Awake,°° awake,°° Dævôrà דְּבוֹרָה:° awake,°° awake,°° utter°° a song:° arise,°° Bäräk בָּרָק,° and lead thy captivity° captive,°°° thou son° of ´Ávînö`am אֲבִינֹעַם.°

 5:12 Awake, awake, Devorah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Baraq, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Avinoam.

 5:13 Then° he made him that remaineth° have dominion°° over the nobles° among the people:° Yähwè יָהוֶה° made me have dominion°° over the mighty.°

 5:14 Out of Efrayim [was there] a root of them against Amaleq; after thee, Binyamin, among thy people; out of Makhir came down governors, and out of Zevulun they that handle the pen of the writer.

 5:15 And the princes° of Yiŝŝäjȼär יִשָּׂשכָר° [were] with° Dævôrà דְּבוֹרָה;° even Yiŝŝäjȼär יִשָּׂשכָר,° and also° Bäräk בָּרָק:° he was sent°° on foot° into the valley.° For the divisions°° of Ræ´ûvën רְאוּבֵן° [there were] great° thoughts° of heart.°

 5:15 And the princes of Yissaskhar [were] with Devorah; even Yissaskhar, and also Baraq: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuven [there were] great thoughts of heart.

 5:16 Why° abodest°° thou among° the sheepfolds,° to hear°° the bleatings° of the flocks?° For the divisions°° of Ræ´ûvën רְאוּבֵן° [there were] great° searchings° of heart.°

 5:23 Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of Yahweh, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of Yahweh, to the help of Yahweh against the mighty.

 5:24 Blessed°° above women°° shall Yä`ël יָעֵל° the wife° of Çever חֶבֶר° the Kênî קֵינִי° be, blessed°° shall she be above women°° in the tent.°

 5:31 So° let all° thine enemies°° perish,°° O Yähwè יָהוֶה:° but [let] them that love°° him [be] as the sun° when he goeth forth°° in his might.° And the land° had rest°° forty° years.°
