Hebrews 13

1 Divers admonitions, as to charity, 4 to honest life, 5 to avoid covetousness, 7 to regard God's preachers, 9 to take heed of strange doctrines, 10 to confess Christ, 16 to give alms, 17 to obey governors, 18 to pray for the apostle. 20 The conclusion.

 13:1 Let love 5360 of the brethren 5360 continue 3306.

 13:2 Do not neglect 1950 to show hospitality 5381 to strangers 5381, for by this 3778 some 5100 have entertained 3579 angels 32a without 2990 knowing 2990 it.

 13:3 Remember 3403 the prisoners 1198, as though 5613 in prison 4887 with them, [and] those 3588 who are ill-treated 2558, since 5613 you yourselves 846 also 2532 are in the body 4983.

 13:4 Marriage 1062 [is to be held] in honor 5093 among 1722 all 3956, and the [marriage] bed 2845 [is to be] undefiled 283; for fornicators 4205 and adulterers 3432 God 2316 will judge 2919.

 13:5 [Make sure that] your character 5158 is free 866 from the love 866 of money 866, being content 714 with what you have 3918b; for He Himself 846 has said 3004, “I WILL NEVER 3756 3361 DESERT 447 YOU, NOR 3761 WILL I EVER 3756 3361 FORSAKE 1459 YOU,”

 13:6 so 5620 that we confidently 2292 say 3004, “THE LORD 2962 IS MY HELPER 998, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID 5399. WHAT 5101 WILL MAN 444 DO 4160 TO ME?”

 13:7 ¶ Remember 3421 those 3588 who led 2233 you, who 3748 spoke 2980 the word 3056 of God 2316 to you; and considering 333 the result 1545 of their conduct 391, imitate 3401 their faith 4102.

 13:8 Jesus 2424 Christ 5547 [is] the same 846 yesterday 2189a and today 4594 and forever 165.

 13:9 Do not be carried 3911 away 3911 by varied 4164 and strange 3581 teachings 1322; for it is good 2570 for the heart 2588 to be strengthened 950 by grace 5485, not by foods 1033, through 1722 which 3739 those 3588 who were so 4043 occupied 4043 were not benefited 5623.

 13:10 We have 2192 an altar 2379 from which 3739 those 3588 who serve 3000 the tabernacle 4633 have 2192 no 3756 right 1849 to eat 2068.

 13:13 So 5106, let us go 1831 out to Him outside 1854 the camp 3925b, bearing 5342 His reproach 3680.

 13:14 For here 5602 we do not have 2192 a lasting 3306 city 4172, but we are seeking 1934 [the city] which is to come 3195.

 13:15 Through 1223 Him then 3767, let us continually 1223 3956 offer 399 up a sacrifice 2378 of praise 133 to God 2316, that is, the fruit 2590 of lips 5491 that give 3670 thanks 3670 to His name 3686.

 13:16 And do not neglect 1950 doing 2140 good 2140 and sharing 2842, for with such 5108 sacrifices 2378 God 2316 is pleased 2100.

 13:17 ¶ Obey 3982 your leaders 2233 and submit 5226 [to them], for they keep 69 watch 69 over 5228 your souls 5590 as those who will give 591 an account 3056. Let them do 4160 this 3778 with joy 5479 and not with grief 4727, for this 3778 would be unprofitable 255 for you.

 13:18 ¶ Pray 4336 for us, for we are sure 3982 that we have 2192 a good 2570 conscience 4893, desiring 2309 to conduct 390 ourselves honorably 2573 in all 3956 things 3956.

 13:19 And I urge 3870 [you] all 4053 the more 4053 to do 4160 this 3778, so 2443 that I may be restored 600 to you the sooner 5036.

 13:22 ¶ But I urge 3870 you, brethren 80, bear 430 with this 3588 word 3056 of exhortation 3874, for I have written 1989 to you briefly 1223 1024.
