1 He exhorteth not to fall back from the faith, 11 but to be stedfast, 12 diligent, and patient to wait upon God, 13 because God is most sure in his promise.
6:1

of instruction 1322 about washings 909 and laying 1936 on of hands 5495, and the resurrection 386 of the dead 3498 and eternal 166 judgment 2917.

And this 3778 we will do 4160, if 1437 4007a God 2316 permits 2010.

For in the case of those 3588 who have once 530 been enlightened 5461 and have tasted 1089 of the heavenly 2032 gift 1431 and have been 1096 made 1096 partakers 3353 of the Holy 40 Spirit 4151,

and have tasted 1089 the good 2570 word 4487 of God 2316 and the powers 1411 of the age 165 to come 3195,

but if it yields 1627 thorns 173 and thistles 5146, it is worthless 96b and close 1451 to being cursed 2671, and it ends 5056 up being burned 2740.

¶ But, beloved 27, we are convinced 3982 of better 2909 things 2909 concerning 4012 you, and things that accompany 2192 salvation 4991, though 1487 2532 we are speaking 2980 in this 3779 way 3779.

For God 2316 is not unjust 94 so as to forget 1950 your work 2041 and the love 26 which 3739 you have shown 1731 toward 1519 His name 3686, in having ministered 1247 and in still ministering 1247 to the saints 40.

And we desire 1937 that each 1538 one 1538 of you show 1731 the same 846 diligence 4710 so 4314 as to realize the full 4136 assurance 4136 of hope 1680 until 891 the end 5056,

so 2443 that you will not be sluggish 3576, but imitators 3402 of those 3588 who through 1223 faith 4102 and patience 3115 inherit 2816 the promises 1860.

This 3739 hope we have 2192 as an anchor 45 of the soul 5590, a [hope] both 5037 sure 804 and steadfast 949 and one which enters 1525 within 2082 the veil 2665,

where 3699 Jesus 2424 has entered 1525 as a forerunner 4274 for us, having become 1096 a high 749 priest 749 forever 165 according 2596 to the order 5010 of Melchizedek 3198.
