 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

 15:1 I am the true vine; and my Father is the cultivator.

 15:2 Every branch which in me giveth not fruits he taketh away; and that which giveth fruits he cleanseth, that more fruits it may give.

 15:2 Every branch in me, which yieldeth not fruits, he taketh it away: and that which yieldeth fruits, he cleanseth it, that it may yield more fruits.

 15:3 Now are you clean because of the word which I have spoken with you.

 15:3 Ye henceforth are clean, on account of the discourse I have held with you.

 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot give fruits of itself if it abide not in the vine, so also cannot you, if you abide not in me.

 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot yield fruits of itself, unless it abide in the vine; so also, neither can ye, unless ye abide in me.

 15:5 I am the vine, and you the branches. Whoso abideth in me, and I in him, this produceth much fruits, because without me you cannot do any thing.

 15:7 But if you abide in me, and my words abide in you, all whatever you will to ask shall be unto you.

 15:8 ¶ IN this is glorified my Father, that much fruit you give, and be my disciples.

 15:9 As my Father hath loved me, so I have loved you: continue in the love of me.

 15:10 If my commandments you will keep, you shall abide in my love; as I have kept the commandments of my Father, and abide in his love.

 15:11 These have I spoken with you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

 15:12 This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

 15:13 Love which is greater than this is not, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

 15:15 I no longer call you servants; because a servant knoweth not what his lord doeth; but I have called you my friends; because, whatever I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

 15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and placed you, that you also may go (and) yield much fruit; and your fruit shall remain, because all that you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give to you.

 15:16 It is not ye that chose me, but I that have chosen you; and I have appointed you, that ye also should go and yield fruits, and that your fruits should continue; so that whatever ye may ask of my Father in my name, he may give it you.

 15:17 These I command you, That you love one another.

 15:17 These things I command you, that ye should love one another.

 15:18 And if the world hate you, know that, before you, it hated me.

 15:18 And if the world hate you, know ye, that it hated me before you.

 15:19 And if of the world you were, the world its own would have loved; but you are not of the world, for I have chosen you from the world; on which account the world hateth you.

 15:19 And if ye were of the world, the world would love what is of it. But ye are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; for this cause, the world hateth you.

 15:20 Remember the word which I spake with you, That there is no servant who is greater than his lord. If me they have persecuted, you also will they persecute; and if my word they had kept, yours also would they keep.

 15:20 Remember the word that I spoke to you, That there is no servant, who is greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; and if they have observed my teaching, they will also observe yours.

 15:21 But these all will they do to you on account of my name, because they know not Him who sent me.

 15:21 But all these things will they do to you, on account of my name, because they know not him that sent me.

 15:22 If I had not come and spoken with them, they had not had sin; but now have they no pretext for their sins.

 15:22 If I had not come and discoursed with them, sin would not have been to them; but now there is no excuse for their sins.

 15:23 He who hateth me, my Father also hateth.

 15:23 He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.

 15:24 And if the works I had not done before their eyes which no other man hath done, they had not had sin; but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father;

 15:24 If I had not wrought before them works which no other person ever did, sin would not have been to them: but now they have seen, and have hated, both me and my Father;

 15:25 that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law, They hated me undeservedly.

 15:25 so that in them will be fulfilled the word which is written in their law: They hated me, without a cause.

 15:26 But when the Paraclete cometh, He whom I will send unto you from my Father, the Spirit of Truth, He who from my Father cometh forth, He shall testify of me.

 15:26 But when the Comforter shall come, whom I will send to you from my Father, that Spirit of truth who proceedeth from the Father, He will testify of me.

 15:27 You also testify, because from the beginning are you with me.

 15:27 And do ye also testify; for ye have been with me from the beginning.
