Hosea 12

1 A reproof of Ephraim, Judah, and Jacob. 3 By former favours he exhorteth to repentance. 7 Ephraim's sins provoke God.

 12:1 Ephraim 669 feeds 7462a on wind 7307, And pursues 7291 the east 6921 wind 6921 continually 3605 3117; He multiplies 7235a lies 3577 and violence 7701. Moreover, he makes 3772 a covenant 1285 with Assyria 804b, And oil 8081 is carried 2986 to Egypt 4714.

 12:2 The LORD 3068 also has a dispute 7379 with Judah 3063, And will punish 6485 Jacob 3290 according to his ways 1870; He will repay 7725 him according to his deeds 4611.

 12:3 In the womb 990 he took 6117 his brother 251 by the heel 6117, And in his maturity 202 he contended 8280 with God 430.

 12:4 Yes, he wrestled 8280 with the angel 4397 and prevailed 3201; He wept 1058 and sought 2603a His favor 2603a. He found 4672 Him at Bethel 1008 And there 8033 He spoke 1696 with us,

 12:5 Even the LORD 3068, the God 430 of hosts 6635, The LORD 3068 is His name 2143.

 12:6 Therefore, return 7725 to your God 430, Observe 8104 kindness 2617a and justice 4941, And wait 6960a for your God 430 continually 8548.

 12:7 A merchant 3669b, in whose hands 3027 are false 4820 balances 3976, He loves 157 to oppress 6231.

 12:8 And Ephraim 669 said 559, “Surely 389 I have become 6238 rich 6238, I have found 4672 wealth 202 for myself; In all 3605 my labors 3018 they will find 4672 in me No 3808 iniquity 5771, which 834 [would be] sin 2399.”

 12:9 But I [have been] the LORD 3068 your God 430 since 4480 the land 776 of Egypt 4714; I will make you live 3427 in tents 168 again 5750, As in the days 3117 of the appointed 4150 festival 4150.

 12:10 I have also spoken 1696 to the prophets 5030, And I gave 7235a numerous 7235a visions 2377, And through 3027 the prophets 5030 I gave 1819 parables 1819.

 12:11 Is there iniquity 205 [in] Gilead 1568? Surely 389 they are worthless 7723. In Gilgal 1537 they sacrifice 2076 bulls 7794, Yes 1571, their altars 4196 are like the stone 1530 heaps 1530 Beside 5921 the furrows 8525 of the field 7706a.

 12:12 ¶ Now Jacob 3290 fled 1272 to the land 7704 of Aram 758, And Israel 3478 worked 5647 for a wife 802, And for a wife 802 he kept 8104 [sheep].

 12:13 But by a prophet 5030 the LORD 3068 brought 5927 Israel 3478 from Egypt 4714, And by a prophet 5030 he was kept 8104.

 12:14 Ephraim 669 has provoked 3707 to bitter 8563 anger 3707; So his Lord 136 will leave 5203 his bloodguilt 1818 on him And bring 7725 back 7725 his reproach 2781 to him.
