2 Kings 24

1 Jehoiakim, first subdued by Nebuchadnezzar, then rebelleth against him, procureth his own ruin. 6 Jehoiachin succeedeth him. 7 The king of Egypt is vanquished by the king of Babylon. 8 Jehoiachin's evil reign. 10 Jerusalem is taken and carried captive into Babylon. 17 Zedekiah is made king, and reigneth ill unto the utter destruction of Judah.

 24:1 In his days 3117 Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 came 5927 up, and Jehoiakim 3079 became 1961 his servant 5650 [for] three 7969 years 8141; then he turned 7725 and rebelled 4775 against him.

 24:2 The LORD 3068 sent 7971 against him bands 1416 of Chaldeans 3778, bands 1416 of Arameans 758, bands 1416 of Moabites 4124, and bands 1416 of Ammonites 1121 5983. So He sent 7971 them against Judah 3063 to destroy 6 it, according to the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 which 834 He had spoken 1696 through 3027 His servants 5650 the prophets 5030.

 24:3 Surely 389 at the command 6310 of the LORD 3068 it came 1961 upon Judah 3063, to remove 5493 [them] from His sight 6440 because of the sins 2403b of Manasseh 4519, according to all 3605 that he had done 6213a,

 24:4 and also 1571 for the innocent 5355a blood 1818 which 834 he shed 8210, for he filled 4390 Jerusalem 3389 with innocent 5355a blood 1818; and the LORD 3068 would 14 not forgive 5545.

 24:5 Now the rest 3499a of the acts 1697 of Jehoiakim 3079 and all 3605 that he did 6213a, are they not written 3789 in the Book 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the Kings 4428 of Judah 3063?

 24:6 So Jehoiakim 3079 slept 7901 with his fathers 1, and Jehoiachin 3078 his son 1121 became 4427a king 4427a in his place 8478.

 24:7 The king 4428 of Egypt 4714 did 3254 not come 3318 out of his land 776 again 5750 3254, for the king 4428 of Babylon 894 had taken 3947 all 3605 that belonged 1961 to the king 4428 of Egypt 4714 from the brook 5158a of Egypt 4714 to the river 5104 Euphrates 6578.

 24:8 ¶ Jehoiachin 3078 was eighteen 8083 6240 years 8141 old 1121 when he became 4427a king 4427a, and he reigned 4427a three 7969 months 2320 in Jerusalem 3389; and his mother’s 517 name 8034 [was] Nehushta 5179b the daughter 1323 of Elnathan 494 of Jerusalem 3389.

 24:9 He did 6213a evil 7451a in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068, according to all 3605 that his father 1 had done 6213a.

 24:10 ¶ At that time 6256 the servants 5650 of Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 went 5927 up to Jerusalem 3389, and the city 5892b came 935 under siege 4692.

 24:11 And Nebuchadnezzar 5019 the king 4428 of Babylon 894 came 935 to the city 5892b, while his servants 5650 were besieging 6696a 5921 it.

 24:12 Jehoiachin 3078 the king 4428 of Judah 3063 went 3318 out to the king 4428 of Babylon 894, he and his mother 517 and his servants 5650 and his captains 8269 and his officials 5631. So the king 4428 of Babylon 894 took 3947 him captive in the eighth 8083 year 8141 of his reign 4427a.

 24:13 He carried 3318 out from there 8033 all 3605 the treasures 214 of the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, and the treasures 214 of the king’s 4428 house 1004, and cut 7112 in pieces 7112 all 3605 the vessels 3627 of gold 2091 which 834 Solomon 8010 king 4428 of Israel 3478 had made 6213a in the temple 1964 of the LORD 3068, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had said 1696.

 24:14 Then he led 1540 away 1540 into exile 1540 all 3605 Jerusalem 3389 and all 3605 the captains 8269 and all 3605 the mighty 1368 men 1368 of valor 2428, ten 6235 thousand 505 captives 1540, and all 3605 the craftsmen 2796 and the smiths 4525. None 3808 remained 7604 except 2108 the poorest 1803b people 5971a of the land 776.

 24:15 ¶ So he led 1540 Jehoiachin 3078 away 1540 into exile 1540 to Babylon 894; also the king’s 4428 mother 517 and the king’s 4428 wives 802 and his officials 5631 and the leading 193b men 193b of the land 776, he led 1980 away into exile 1473 from Jerusalem 3389 to Babylon 894.

 24:16 All 3605 the men 376 of valor 2428, seven 7651 thousand 505, and the craftsmen 2796 and the smiths 4525, one thousand 505, all 3605 strong 1368 and fit 6213a for war 4421, and these the king 4428 of Babylon 894 brought 935 into exile 1473 to Babylon 894.

 24:17 Then the king 4428 of Babylon 894 made 4427a his uncle 1730 Mattaniah 4983 king 4427a in his place 8478, and changed 5437 his name 8034 to Zedekiah 6667.

 24:18 ¶ Zedekiah 6667 was twenty-one 6242 259 years 8141 old 1121 when he became 4427a king 4427a, and he reigned 4427a eleven 259 6240 years 8141 in Jerusalem 3389; and his mother’s 517 name 8034 was Hamutal 2537 the daughter 1323 of Jeremiah 3414 of Libnah 3841.

 24:19 He did 6213a evil 7451a in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068, according to all 3605 that Jehoiakim 3079 had done 6213a.

 24:20 For through 5921 the anger 639 of the LORD 3068 [this] came 1961 about in Jerusalem 3389 and Judah 3063 until 5704 He cast 7993 them out from His presence 6440. And Zedekiah 6667 rebelled 4775 against the king 4428 of Babylon 894.
