Let the children of Israel encamp fronting [each other], every man keeping his own rank, according to [their] standards, according to the houses of their families; the children of Israel shall encamp round about the tabernacle of witness. |

of Israel°
shall pitch°°
by°
his own standard,°
with the ensign°
of their father's°
house:°
far off°°
about°
the tabernacle°
of the congregation°
shall they pitch.°° |

And they that encamp first toward the east [shall be] the order of the camp of Judah{gr.Juda} with their host, and the prince of the sons of Judah{gr.Juda}, Nahshon{gr.Naasson} the son of Amminadab{gr.Aminadab}. |

And on the east side°
toward the rising°
of the sun°
shall they of the standard°
of the camp°
of Judah°
pitch°°
throughout their armies:°
and Nahshon°
the son°
of Amminadab°
[shall be] captain°
of the children°
of Judah.° |

His forces that were numbered, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred. |

And his host,°
and those that were numbered°°
of them, [were] threescore and fourteen°°
thousand°

And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Issachar, and the prince of the sons of Issachar [shall be] Nethaneel{gr.Nathanael} the son of Zuar{gr.Sogar}. |

And those that do pitch°°
next unto°
him [shall be] the tribe°
of Issachar:°
and Nethaneel°
the son°
of Zuar°
[shall be] captain°
of the children°
of Issachar.° |

His forces that were numbered, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred. |

And his host,°
and those that were numbered°°
thereof, [were] fifty°

And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Zebulun{gr.Zabulon}, and the prince of the sons of Zebulun{gr.Zabulon} [shall be] Aholiab{gr.Eliab} the son of Chaelon. |

[shall be] captain°
of the children°

His forces that were numbered, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred. |

All that were numbered of the camp of Judah{gr.Juda} were a hundred and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred: they shall move first with their forces. |

[This is] the order of the camp of Reuben{gr.Ruben}; their forces [shall be] toward the south, and the prince of the children of Reuben{gr.Ruben} [shall be] Elisur the son of Sediur. |

On the south side°
[shall be] the standard°
of the camp°
of Reuben°
according to their armies:°
and the captain°
of the children°
of Reuben°
[shall be] Elizur°
the son°
of Shedeur.° |

And they that encamp next to him [shall be] of the tribe of Simeon{gr.Symeon}, and the prince of the sons of Simeon{gr.Symeon} [shall be] Salamiel the son of Surisadai. |

[shall be] Shelumiel°

And they that encamp next to them [shall be] the tribe of Gad; and the prince of the sons of Gad, Eliasaph{gr.Elisaph} the son of Reuel{gr.Raguel}. |

And [then] the tabernacle of witness shall be set forward, and the camp of the Levites [shall be] between the camps; as they shall encamp, so also shall they commence their march, each one next in order to his fellow according to their companies. |

Then the tabernacle°

with the camp°
of the Levites°
in the midst°
of the camp:°
as°
they encamp,°°
so°
shall they set forward,°°
every man°
in°
his place°
by their standards.° |

2:18 ¶
The station of the camp of Ephraim [shall be] westward with their forces, and the head of the children of Ephraim [shall be] Elishama{gr.Elisama} the son of Emiud. |

On the west side°
[shall be] the standard°
of the camp°
of Ephraim°
according to their armies:°
and the captain°
of the sons°
of Ephraim°
[shall be] Elishama°
the son°
of Ammihud.° |

And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Manasseh{gr.Manasse}, and the prince of the sons of Manasseh{gr.Manasse}, Gamaliel the son of Phadassur. |

The order of the camp of Dan [shall be] northward with their forces; and the prince of the sons of Dan, Ahiezer{gr.Achiezer} the son of Amisadai. |

of the camp°

[shall be] on the north side°
by their armies:°
and the captain°
of the children°
of Dan°
[shall be] Ahiezer°
the son°
of Ammishaddai.° |

His forces that were numbered, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred. |

and those that were numbered°°
of them, [were] threescore°

thousand°

And they that encamp next to him [shall be] the tribe of Asher{gr.Aser}; and the prince of the sons of Asher{gr.Aser}, Phagiel the son of Echran. |

[shall be] Pagiel°

And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Naphtali{gr.Nephthali}; and the prince of the children of Naphtali{gr.Nephthali}, Achire son Enan{gr.Aenan}. |

[shall be] Ahira°

This [is] the numbering of the children of Israel according to the houses of their families: all the numbering of the camps with their forces, [was] six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty. |
