 33:1 ¶
And this [is] the blessing with which Mosheh{gr.Moses} the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. |

And thisº
[is] the blessing,º
wherewithº
Mosesº
the manº
of Elohimº
blessedººº
the childrenº
of Israelº
beforeº
his death.º |

 33:2
And he said, The Lord is come from Sinai{gr.Sina}, and has appeared from Seir to us, and has hasted out of the mount of Paran{gr.Pharan}, with the ten thousands of Kadesh{gr.Cades}; on his right hand [were] his angels with him. |

And he said,ºº
Yahwehº
cameºº
from Sinai,ºº
and rose upºº
from Seirºº
unto them; he shined forthºº
from mountºº
Paran,º
and he cameºº
with ten thousandsºº
of saints:º
from his right handºº
[went] a fieryººº
lawº
for them. |

 33:3
And he spared his people, and all his sanctified ones [are] under thy hands; and they are under thee; and he received of his words |
 33:3
Yea,º
he lovedºº
the people;º
allº
his saintsº
[are] in thy hand:º
and theyº
sat downºº
at thy feet;º
[every one] shall receiveºº
of thy words.ºº |

 33:4
the law which Mosheh{gr.Moses} charged us, an inheritance to the assemblies of Jacob. |
 33:4
Mosesº
commandedºº
us a law,º
[even] the inheritanceº
of the congregationº
of Jacob.º |
|
 33:5
And he shall be prince with the beloved one, when the princes of the people are gathered together with the tribes of Israel. |
 33:5
And he wasº
kingº
in Jeshurun,º
when the headsº
of the peopleº
[and] the tribesº
of Israelº
were gatheredºº
together.º |

 33:6 ¶
Let Reuben{gr.Ruben} live, and not die; and let him be many in number. |
 33:6 ¶
Let Reubenº
live,ºº
and notº
die;ºº
and let [not] his menº
beº
few.º |
|
 33:7 ¶
And this [is the blessing] of Judah{gr.Juda}; Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah{gr.Juda}, and do thou visit his people: his hands shall contend for him, and thou shalt be a help from his enemies. |
 33:7 ¶
And thisº
[is the blessing] of Judah:º
and he said,ºº
Hear,ºº
Yahweh,º
the voiceº
of Judah,º
and bringºº
him untoº
his people:º
let his handsº
be sufficientº
for him; and beº
thou an helpº
[to him] from his enemies.ºº |

 33:8 ¶
And to Levi he said, Give to Levi his manifestations, and his truth to the holy man, whom they tempted in the temptation; they reviled him at the water of strife. |
 33:8 ¶
And of Leviº
he said,ºº
[Let] thy Thummimº
and thy Urimº
[be] with thy holyº
one,º
whomº
thou didst proveºº
at Massah,º
[and with] whom thou didst striveºº
atº
the watersº
of Meribah;º |

 33:9
Who says to his father and mother, I have not seen thee; and he knew not his brethren, and he refused to know his sons: he kept thine oracles, and observed thy covenant. |

Who saidºº
unto his fatherº
and to his mother,º
I have notº
seenºº
him; neitherº
did he acknowledgeºº
his brethren,º
norº
knewºº
his own children:º
forº
they have observedºº
thy word,º
and keptºº
thy covenant.º |

 33:10
They shall declare thine ordinances to Jacob, and thy law to Israel: they shall place incense in [the time of] thy wrath continually upon thine altar. |

They shall teachºº
Jacobº
thy judgments,º
and Israelº
thy law:º
they shall putºº
incenseº
beforeº
thee, and whole burnt sacrificeº
uponº
thine altar.º |

 33:11
Bless, Lord, his strength, and accept the works of his hands; break the loins of his enemies that have risen up against him, and let not them that hate him rise up. |

Yahweh,º
his substance,º
and acceptºº
the workº
of his hands:º
smiteºº
throughº
the loinsº
of them that riseºº
againstº
him, and of them that hateºº
him, thatº
they riseºº
notº

 33:12 ¶
And to Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in confidence, and God overshadows him always, and he rested between his shoulders. |
 33:12 ¶
[And] of Benjaminº
he said,ºº
The belovedº
of Yahwehº
shall dwellºº
in safetyº
byº
him; [and Yahweh] shall coverººº
him allº
the dayº
long, and he shall dwellºº
betweenº
his shoulders.º |

 33:13 ¶
And to Joseph he said, His land [is] of the blessing of the Lord, of the seasons of sky and dew, and of the deeps of wells below, |
 33:13 ¶
And of Josephº
he said,ºº
Blessedºº
of Yahwehº
[be] his land,º
for the precious thingsºº
of heaven,º
for the dew,ºº
and for the deepºº
that couchethº
beneath,ººº |

 33:14
and of the fruits of the changes of the sun in season, and of the produce of the months, |
 33:14
And for the preciousºº
fruitsº
[brought forth] by the sun,º
and for the precious thingsºº
put forthº
by the moon,º |

 33:15
from the top of the ancient mountains, and from the top of the everlasting hills, |
 33:15
And for the chief thingsºº
of the ancientº
mountains,º
and for the precious thingsºº
of the lastingº
hills,º |

 33:16
and of the fullness of the land in season: and let the things pleasing to him that dwelt in the bush come on the head of Joseph, and on the crown [of him who was] glorified above his brethren. |

And for the precious thingsºº
of the earthº
and fulnessº
thereof, and [for] the good willº
of him that dweltºº
in the bush:º
let [the blessing] comeºº
upon the headº
of Joseph,º
and upon the top of the headº
of him [that was] separatedº
from his brethren.º |

 33:17
His beauty [is as] the firstling of his bull, his horns [are] the horns of a unicorn; with them he shall thrust the nations at once, even from the end of the earth: these [are] the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these [are] the thousands of Manasseh{gr.Manasse}. |

His gloryº
[is like] the firstlingº
of his bullock,º
and his hornsº
[are like] the hornsº
of unicorns:º
with them he shall pushºº
the peopleº
togetherº
to the endsº
of the earth:º
and theyº
[are] the ten thousandsº
of Ephraim,º
and theyº
[are] the thousandsº
of Manasseh.º |

 33:18 ¶
And to Zebulun{gr.Zabulon} he said, Rejoice, Zebulun{gr.Zabulon}, in thy going out, and Issachar in his tents. |
 33:18 ¶
And of Zebulunº
he said,ºº
Rejoice,ºº
Zebulun,º
in thy going out;ºº
and, Issachar,º
in thy tents.º |

 33:19
They shall utterly destroy the nations, and ye shall call [men] there, and there offer the sacrifice of righteousness; for the wealth of the sea shall suckle thee, and so shall the marts of them that dwell by the sea-coast. |

They shall callºº
the peopleº
unto the mountain;º
thereº
they shall offerºº
sacrificesº
of righteousness:º
forº
they shall suckºº
[of] the abundanceº
of the seas,º
and [of] treasuresºº
hidºº
in the sand.º |

 33:20 ¶
And to Gad he said, Blessed [be] he that enlarges Gad: as a lion he rested, having broken the arm and the ruler. |
 33:20 ¶
And of Gadº
he said,ºº
Blessedºº
[be] he that enlargethºº
Gad:º
he dwellethºº
as a lion,º
and tearethºº
the armº
withº
the crown of the head.º |

 33:21
And he saw his first-fruits, that there the land of the princes gathered with the chiefs of the people was divided; the Lord wrought righteousness, and his judgment with Israel. |

And he providedºº
the first partº
for himself, becauseº
there,º
[in] a portionº
of the lawgiver,ºº
[was he] seated;ºº
and he cameºº
with the headsº
of the people,º
he executedºº
the justiceº
of Yahweh,º
and his judgmentsº
withº
Israel.º |

 33:22 ¶
And to Dan he said, Dan [is] a lion's whelp, and shall leap out of Bashan{gr.Basan}. |
 33:22 ¶
And of Danº
he said,ºº
Danº
[is] a lion'sº
whelp:º
he shall leapºº
fromº
Bashan.º |
|
 33:23 ¶
And to Naphtali{gr.Nephthali} he said, Naphtali{gr.Nephthali} [has] the fulness of good things; and let him be filled with blessing from the Lord: he shall inherit the west and the south. |
 33:23 ¶
And of Naphtaliº
he said,ºº
O Naphtali,º
satisfiedº
with favour,º
and fullº
with the blessingº
of Yahweh:º
possessºº
thou the westº
and the south.º |

 33:24 ¶
And to Asher{gr.Aser} he said, Asher{gr.Aser} [is] blessed with children; and he shall be acceptable to his brethren: he shall dip his foot in oil. |
 33:24 ¶
And of Asherº
he said,ºº
[Let] Asherº
[be] blessedºº
with children;ºº
let him beº
acceptableºº
to his brethren,º
and let him dipºº
his footº
in oil.º |

 33:25
His sandal shall be iron and brass; as thy days, so [shall be] thy strength. |
 33:25
Thy shoesº
[shall be] ironº
and brass;º
and as thy days,º
[so shall] thy strengthº
[be]. |
|
 33:26 ¶
There is not [any such] as the God of the beloved; he who rides upon the heaven [is] thy helper, and the magnificent One of the firmament. |
 33:26 ¶
[There is] noneº
like unto the Elº
of Jeshurun,º
[who] ridethºº
uponº
the heavenº
in thy help,º
and in his excellencyº
on the sky.º |
|
 33:27
And the rule of God shall protect thee, and [that] under the strength of the everlasting arms; and he shall cast forth the enemy from before thy face, saying, Perish. |
 33:27
The eternalº
Elohimº
[is thy] refuge,º
and underneathºº
[are] the everlastingº
arms:º
and he shall thrust outºº
the enemyºº
from beforeºº
thee; and shall say,ºº
Destroyºº
[them]. |

 33:28
And Israel shall dwell in confidence alone on the land of Jacob, with corn and wine; and the sky [shall be] misty with dew upon thee. |

Israelº
then shall dwellºº
in safetyº
alone:º
the fountainº
of Jacobº
[shall be] uponº
a landº
of cornº
and wine;º
alsoº
his heavensº
shall drop downºº
dew.º |

 33:29
Blessed [art] thou, O Israel; who [is] like to thee, O people saved by the Lord? thy helper shall hold his shield over thee, and [his] sword [is] thy boast; and thine enemies shall speak falsely to thee, and thou shalt tread upon their neck. |

Happyº
[art] thou, O Israel:º
whoº
[is] like unto thee,º
O peopleº
savedºº
by Yahweh,º
the shieldº
of thy help,º
and whoº
[is] the swordº
of thy excellency!º
and thine enemiesºº
shall be found liarsºº
unto thee; and thouº
shalt treadºº
uponº
their high places.º |
