 15:1 ¶ THEN came to Jeshu Pharishee and Sophree, who were from Urishlem, saying,

 15:1 Then came to Jesus Pharisees and Scribes that were from Jerusalem, and said:

 15:2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders, and wash not their hands when they eat bread?

 15:5 but ye say, Every one who shall say to a father, or to a mother, (It is) my oblation whatever thou wouldst be profited by me, and shall not honour his father or his mother (shall be guiltless).

 15:5 But ye say: Whosoever shall say to a father or to a mother, Be that my offering, by which ye get profit from me: then he must not honor his father or his mother.

 15:6 Thus you have abolished the word of Aloha for the sake of your tradition.

 15:6 And [thus] ye make void the word of God, for the sake of your tradition.

 15:7 Ye hypocrites! rightly prophesied concerning you Eshaia the prophet, and said,

 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did the prophet Isaiah prophesy of you, and say:

 15:8 This people with the lips honour me, but their heart (is) very far from me.

 15:8 This people honoreth me with the lips, but their heart is far from me.

 15:9 But in vain they reverence me, while they teach the doctrines of the commandments of men.

 15:9 And in vain they pay me homage, while they teach doctrines that are the precepts of men.

 15:10 And he called to the multitudes, and said to them, Hear, and understand:

 15:15 And Shemun Kipha answered and said, My Lord, expound to us this parable.

 15:18 But whatsoever from the mouth shall come forth, from the heart cometh forth, and this [it is that] contaminates a child of man.

 15:19 For from the heart proceed evil thoughts, adultery, murder, fornication, robbery, false witness, blasphemy.

 15:20 These are they which defile a man; but if any one eat when his hands are not washed, he is not defiled.

 15:21 ¶ AND Jeshu went forth from thence, and came to the borders of Tsur and Tsaidon.

 15:22 And, beheld, a Canaanite woman from those coasts came forth crying, and saying, Have mercy upon me, my Lord, son of David! my daughter is grievously possessed with the demon!

 15:22 And lo, a woman, a Canaanitess from those confines, came forth, calling out and saying: Compassionate me, my Lord, thou son of David: my daughter is grievously distressed by a demon.

 15:23 But he did not return her an answer. And the disciples approached and requested from him, saying, Dismiss her, for she crieth after us.

 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and requested of him, and said: Send her away, for she crieth after us.

 15:24 But he answered and said to them, I am not sent but to the sheep which have wandered from the house of Israel.

 15:24 But he answered and said to them: I am not sent, except to the sheep that have strayed from the house of Israel.

 15:25 Then she came, worshipped him, and said, My Lord, help me!

 15:26 Jeshu said to her, It is not proper to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.

 15:27 But she said, Even so, my Lord; yet the dogs eat from the crumbs that fall from the tables of their masters, and live.

 15:27 And she said: Even so, my Lord; yet the dogs eat of the fragments that fall from the tables of their masters, and live.

 15:28 Then said Jeshu to her, O woman, great is thy faith! be it to thee as thou wilt! And healed was her daughter from that hour.

 15:28 Then Jesus said to her: O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee, as thou desirest. And her daughter was cured from that hour.

 15:29 And Jeshu passed from thence, and came near the sea of Galila; and he ascended the mountain and sat there.

 15:30 And there drew near to him great gatherings (of people), and with them there were the lame, and the blind, and the dumb, and the mutilated, and many others; and they cast them at the feet of Jeshu, and he healed them.

 15:30 And great multitudes came to him; and with them were the lame, and the blind, and the dumb, and the maimed, and many others: and they laid them at the feet of Jesus, and he healed them.

 15:31 So that those multitudes were astounded as they beheld the dumb speaking, and the mutilated made whole, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the Aloha of Isroel.

 15:31 So that the multitudes were amazed, when they saw the dumb speaking, and the maimed made whole, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing: and they praised the God of Israel.

 15:32 ¶ BUT Jeshu himself called his disciples, and said to them, I have pity for this multitude, who, behold, for three days have continued with me, but there is nothing for them to eat; and to send them away fasting, I am unwilling, lest they should faint in the way.

 15:32 Then Jesus called his disciples, and said to them: I pity this multitude; for lo, these three days they have continued with me, and they have nothing to eat: and I am unwilling to send them away fasting, lest they faint by the way.

 15:33 The disciples say to him, Whence can we have bread in the wilderness, that we may satisfy this whole multitude?

 15:34 Jeshu saith to them, How many loaves have you? They say to him, Seven, and a few small fishes.
