 10:1 ¶ AFTER these Jeshu separated from his disciples seventy others, and sent them by two and two before his face to every place and city whither he was himself to come.

 10:1 And after these things, Jesus separated from among his disciples seventy other persons, and sent them, two and two, before his face, to every place and city whither he was to go.

 10:2 And he said to them, The harvest is great, but the labourers (are) few; pray therefore from the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers into his harvest.

 10:2 And he said to them: The harvest is great, and the laborers few: pray ye, therefore, the lord of the harvest that he would send laborers into his harvest.

 10:3 Go; behold, I send you as sheep among wolves.

 10:3 Go ye: lo, I send you forth, as sheep among wolves.

 10:4 Take with you neither purses, nor bags, nor sandals, neither with the salutation (shaloma) shall you salute any man in the way.

 10:4 Take to you no purses, nor wallets, nor shoes; and salute no man by the way.

 10:5 But into whatever house you enter, first say, Peace to the house!

 10:5 And into whatever house ye enter, first say: Peace be to this house.

 10:6 And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall descend upon him; but if not, your peace upon you shall return.

 10:6 And if the son of peace is there, your salutation will rest upon it; but if not, your salutation will return to you.

 10:7 But in that house be, eating and drinking of theirs: for worthy is the labourer of his hire. And remove not from house to house.

 10:7 And remain in that house, eating and drinking of what it affords; for the laborer is worthy of his hire. And pass not from house to house.

 10:8 And into whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat such things as are set to you.

 10:8 And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you; eat that which set before you.

 10:9 And heal those who are sick, and say to them, There hath drawn nigh upon you the kingdom of Aloha.

 10:9 And heal them that are sick in it; and say to them: The kingdom of God hath come near you.

 10:10 But if any city which you enter will not receive you, go you out into the street and say,

 10:10 And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you not; go out into the street, and say:

 10:11 Even the dust which cleaveth to our feet from your city we shake off against you; nevertheless know this, that hath come nigh upon you the kingdom of Aloha.

 10:11 Even the dust of your city which adhereth to our feet, we shake off against you: but this know ye, that the kingdom of God hath come near to you.

 10:12 I tell you that for Sadum it shall be more tolerable in that day than for that city.

 10:12 I say to you, that for Sodom there will be comfort in that day, rather than for that city.

 10:13 Woe to thee, Kurazin! woe to thee, Bethtsaida! for if in Tsur and Tsaidon had been wrought the miracles which were wrought in you, now long since in sackcloth and in ashes would they have repented.

 10:13 Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon there had been the mighty deeds, that were in you, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes.

 10:14 Nevertheless for Tsur and for Tsaidon it shall be more tolerable in the day of the judgment, than for you.

 10:14 But for Tyre and Sidon there will be comfort in the day of judgment, rather than for you.

 10:15 And thou, Kapher-nachum, which unto heaven art lifted up, unto Shiul shalt thou be abased.

 10:15 And thou Capernaum, that art lifted up to heaven, shalt be brought down to hell.

 10:16 He that you heareth, me heareth; and he who you rejecteth, me he rejecteth; and he who me rejecteth, he rejecteth him who sent me.

 10:16 He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.

 10:17 And the seventy whom he had sent, returned with great joy, saying to him, Our Lord, the demons also are subjected to us through thy name.

 10:18 Then he said to them, I saw him, Satana, when he fell as lightning from heaven.

 10:19 Behold, I give you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and all the strength of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

 10:20 Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the demons are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

 10:21 In that hour Jeshu exulted in the Holy Spirit, and said, I praise thee, my Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and the intellectual, and hast revealed them unto children. Yes, my Father, for so was thy will.

 10:22 And he turned to his disciples, and said to them, Every thing is delivered to me by my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is but the Father; and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whom the Son willeth to reveal.

 10:22 And he turned himself to his disciples, and said to them: Every thing is committed to me by my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; or who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son is pleased to reveal [him].

 10:23 And he turned to his disciples by themselves, and said, Blessed are your eyes because they see what you see;

 10:24 for I tell you that prophets many and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard.

 10:25 ¶ AND, behold, a certain Sophra stood up to try him, saying, Malphona, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?

 10:26 But Jeshu said to him, In the law how is it written, how readest thou?

 10:27 He answered and said to him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy Aloha with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbour as thyself,

 10:28 Jeshu said to him, Thou hast said correctly. This do, and thou shalt live.

 10:30 Jeshu saith to him, A certain man went down from Urishlem to Jerichu, and fell among robbers, who stripped him and wounded him, and left him with little life subsisting in him, and went.

 10:37 And he said, He who had compassion on him. Jeshu saith to him, Go thou also and do likewise.

 10:38 ¶ AND it was that as they went in the way, he entered into a certain village, and a woman whose name was Martha received him into her house.

 10:38 And it occurred, as they travelled by the way, that he entered a certain village, and a woman whose name was Martha, received him at her house.

 10:39 And she had a sister whose name was Mariam, and she came, sat at the feet of our Lord, and heard his words.

 10:39 And she had a sister whose name, was Mary: and she came and seated herself at the feet of our Lord, and listened to his discourses.

 10:40 But Martha was occupied with much serving. And she came and said to him, My Lord, carest thou not that my sister leave me alone to serve? Tell her to help me.

 10:40 But Martha was occupied with much service; and she came, and said to him: My Lord, hast thou no concern, that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her assist me.

 10:41 Jeshu answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and disturbed about many,

 10:41 Jesus answered, and said to her: Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things:

 10:42 but (there) is the one that is needed. And Mariam the good portion hath chosen, that which shall not be taken from her.

 10:42 yet but one thing is necessary; and Mary hath chosen for herself the good part, which shall not be taken from her.
