Romans 14

3 Men may not contemn nor condemn one the other for things different: 13 but take heed that they give no offence in them: 15 for that the apostle proveth unlawful by many reasons.

 14:1 Now 1161 accept 4355 the one who is weak 770 in faith 4102, [but] not for [the purpose of] passing 1253 judgment 1253 on his opinions 1261.

 14:2 One 3739 3303a person has 4100 faith 4100 that he may eat 2068 all 3956 things 3956, but he who is weak 770 eats 2068 vegetables 3001 [only].

 14:3 The one 3739 who eats 2068 is not to regard 1848 with contempt 1848 the one 3588 who does not eat 2068, and the one 3739 who does not eat 2068 is not to judge 2919 the one 3588 who eats 2068, for God 2316 has accepted 4355 him.

 14:4 Who 5101 are you to judge 2919 the servant 3610b of another 245? To his own 2398 master 2962 he stands 4739 or 2228 falls 4098; and he will stand 2476, for the Lord 2962 is able 1414 to make 2476 him stand 2476.

 14:5 ¶ One 3739 3303a person regards 2919 one day 2250 above 3844 another 2250, another 3739 1161 regards 2919 every 3956 day 2250 [alike]. Each 1538 person 1538 must be fully 4135 convinced 4135 in his own 2398 mind 3563.

 14:6 He who observes 5426 the day 2250, observes 5426 it for the Lord 2962, and he who eats 2068, does 2068 so 2068 for the Lord 2962, for he gives 2168 thanks 2168 to God 2316; and he who eats 2068 not, for the Lord 2962 he does not eat 2068, and gives 2168 thanks 2168 to God 2316.

 14:7 For not one 3762 of us lives 2198 for himself 1438, and not one 3762 dies 599 for himself 1438;

 14:8 for if 1437 we live 2198, we live 2198 for the Lord 2962, or 5037 if 1437 we die 599, we die 599 for the Lord 2962; therefore 3767 whether 1437 5037 we live 2198 or 1437 5037 die 599, we are the Lord’s 2962.

 14:9 For to this 3778 end Christ 5547 died 599 and lived 2198 again, that He might be Lord 2961 both 2532 of the dead 3498 and of the living 2198.

 14:10 ¶ But you, why 5101 do you judge 2919 your brother 80? Or 2228 you again 2532, why 5101 do you regard 1848 your brother 80 with contempt 1848? For we will all 3956 stand 3936 before 3936 the judgment 968 seat 968 of God 2316.

 14:11 For it is written 1125, “AS I LIVE 2198, SAYS 3004 THE LORD 2962, EVERY 3956 KNEE 1119 SHALL BOW 2578 TO ME, AND EVERY 3956 TONGUE 1100 SHALL GIVE 1843 PRAISE 1843 TO GOD 2316.”

 14:12 So 686 then 686 each 1538 one 1538 of us will give 1325 an account 3056 of himself 1438 to God 2316.

 14:13 ¶ Therefore 3767 let us not judge 2919 one 240 another 240 anymore 3371, but rather 3123 determine 2919 this 3778—not to put 5087 an obstacle 4348 or 2228 a stumbling 4625 block 4625 in a brother’s 80 way.

 14:14 I know 3609a and am convinced 3982 in the Lord 2962 Jesus 2424 that nothing 3762 is unclean 2839 in itself 1438; but to him who thinks 3049 anything 5100 to be unclean 2839, to him it is unclean 2839.

 14:15 For if 1487 because 1223 of food 1033 your brother 80 is hurt 3076, you are no 3765 longer 3765 walking 4043 according 2596 to love 26. Do not destroy 622 with your food 1033 him for whom 3739 Christ 5547 died 599.

 14:16 Therefore 3767 do not let what 18 is for you a good 18 thing 18 be spoken 987 of as evil 987;

 14:17 for the kingdom 932 of God 2316 is not eating 1035 and drinking 4213, but righteousness 1343 and peace 1515 and joy 5479 in the Holy 40 Spirit 4151.

 14:18 For he who in this 3778 [way] serves 1398 Christ 5547 is acceptable 2101 to God 2316 and approved 1384 by men 444.

 14:19 So 686 then 686 we pursue 1377 the things which make for peace 1515 and the building 3619 up of one 240 another 240.

 14:20 Do not tear 2647 down 2647 the work 2041 of God 2316 for the sake 1752a of food 1033. All 3956 things 3956 indeed 3303a are clean 2513, but they are evil 2556 for the man 444 who eats 2068 and gives 1223 offense 4348.

 14:21 It is good 2570 not to eat 2068 meat 2907 or 3366 to drink 4095 wine 3631, or 3366 [to do anything] by which 3739 your brother 80 stumbles 4350.

 14:22 The faith 4102 which 3739 you have 2192, have 2192 as your own 4572 conviction 4572 before 1799 God 2316. Happy 3107 is he who does not condemn 2919 himself 1438 in what 3739 he approves 1381a.

 14:23 But he who doubts 1252 is condemned 2632 if 1437 he eats 2068, because 3754 [his eating is] not from faith 4102; and whatever 3956 3739 is not from faith 4102 is sin 266.
