Ezra 1

1 The proclamation of Cyrus for the building of the Temple. 5 The people provide for the return. 7 Cyrus restoreth the vessels of the Temple to Sheshbazzar.

 1:1 Now in the first 259 year 8141 of Cyrus 3566 king 4428 of Persia 6539, in order to fulfill 3615 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 by the mouth 6310 of Jeremiah 3414, the LORD 3068 stirred 5782 up the spirit 7307 of Cyrus 3566 king 4428 of Persia 6539, so that he sent 5674a a proclamation 6963 throughout all 3605 his kingdom 4438, and also 1571 [put it] in writing 4385, saying 559:

 1:2 ¶ “Thus 3541 says 559 Cyrus 3566 king 4428 of Persia 6539, ‘The LORD 3068, the God 430 of heaven 8064, has given 5414 me all 3605 the kingdoms 4467 of the earth 776 and He has appointed 6485 me to build 1129 Him a house 1004 in Jerusalem 3389, which 834 is in Judah 3063.

 1:3 ‘Whoever 4310 there is among you of all 3605 His people 5971a, may his God 430 be with him! Let him go 5927 up to Jerusalem 3389 which 834 is in Judah 3063 and rebuild 1129 the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, the God 430 of Israel 3478; He is the God 430 who 834 is in Jerusalem 3389.

 1:4 ‘Every 3605 survivor 7604, at whatever 3605 834 place 4725 he may live 1481a, let the men 376 of that place 4725 support 5375 him with silver 3701 and gold 2091, with goods 7399 and cattle 929, together 5973 with a freewill 5071 offering 5071 for the house 1004 of God 430 which 834 is in Jerusalem 3389.’”

 1:5 ¶ Then the heads 7218 of fathers’ 1 [households] of Judah 3063 and Benjamin 1144 and the priests 3548 and the Levites 3881 arose 6965, even everyone 3605 whose spirit 7307 God 430 had stirred 5782 to go 5927 up and rebuild 1129 the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 which 834 is in Jerusalem 3389.

 1:6 All 3605 those about 5439 them encouraged 2388 3027 them with articles 3627 of silver 3701, with gold 2091, with goods 7399, with cattle 929 and with valuables 4030, aside 905 from all 3605 that was given 5068 as a freewill 5068 offering 5068.

 1:7 Also King 4428 Cyrus 3566 brought 3318 out the articles 3627 of the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, which 834 Nebuchadnezzar 5019 had carried 3318 away 3318 from Jerusalem 3389 and put 5414 in the house 1004 of his gods 430;

 1:8 and Cyrus 3566, king 4428 of Persia 6539, had them brought 3318 out by the hand 3027 of Mithredath 4990 the treasurer 1489, and he counted 5608 them out to Sheshbazzar 8339, the prince 5387a of Judah 3063.

 1:9 Now this 428 [was] their number 4557: 30 7970 gold 2091 dishes 105, 1,000 505 silver 3701 dishes 105, 29 8672 6242 duplicates 4252;

 1:10 30 7970 gold 2091 bowls 3713a, 410 702 3967 6235 silver 3701 bowls 3713a of a second 4932 [kind and] 1,000 505 other 312 articles 3627.

 1:11 All 3605 the articles 3627 of gold 2091 and silver 3701 [numbered] 5,400 2568 505 702 3967. Sheshbazzar 8339 brought 5927 them all 3605 up with the exiles 1473 who went 5927 up from Babylon 894 to Jerusalem 3389.
